I stupidly told a Dr. I wanted to lose weight but food restricting keeps triggering a life long eating disorder. She told me I MUST go on a 1,200 calorie diet to lose weight. She only heard the word weight. I have dozens of stories like this. Perimenopause was the worse. Dr.s only know sweats, hot flashes, and mood, I didn't have those. I had symptoms like hypoglycemia, chest pains, trembling, vibrating, and throbbing throughout my body. All I got from MD.s was white coat syndrome from 2 years of blind guesses and the constant runaround. An online women's group answered my questions and offered numerous solutions. No more MDs, unless it's for emergency trauma or plastic surgery.
That sucks! Sorry you have had those experiences! As a basic Certified personal trainer, in my own experiences, I've learned the importance of the psychology before jumping into diets. it's really frustrating when I hear MD's and even trainers or diet culture push these things. I take it very serious and it's why I've struggled with even getting or keeping clients because I ask a lot of questions and dig deep. Most often I tell ppl they are not in a position to start a crash diet. There's a lot as an individual that one needs to consider and the different context requires different routes. I often point people to others who work with specific situations that specialize in whatever the feedback and history from my initial clients questionnaire. Super important. Thank you for sharing and I hope you have been able to find proper assistance on your journey! Glad you are doing your research!
A GP told me to just exercise vigorously for one hour per day, and that would take care of all aspects of my health; physical, mental, and emotional. Rolling my eyes now because of how very ridiculous it truly was.
You hit the nail on the head! I suffer from severe chronic pain and all my doctor has done is recommend mediation. I had such a severe adverse reaction to one that I'll never go down that path again. So now it's a referral to a psychiatrist who will...prescribe medication... I know this physical pain is being caused by trauma or anxiety but I'm struggling to get anywhere with it.
Excellent perspective! I experience all of this with med Drs. I have 5 chronic illnesses and the Drs don't want to give me the time. Each illness was treated individually with specialists. They don't connect the dots, to link them all, originating with traumas. I now have a PCP who is giving me his best for the physical. My therapist is teaching me all her tools. You're the one who understands and shares what needs to be known.. the roots of alarm. 😊
You are such a great and kind guy in this world that was sent by the universe to save us all❤ pls can you make topics on depression too? Coz I suffered from severe depression and ocd that no doctors or psychiatrists can heal for more than 15 years. I do believe that you understand me well and I had childhood trauma where my dad beats us up and my mom gave me no recognition and love but perfectionalism
My friend your amazing, you truly get it n the best thing is the way you explain n express the feelings so many of us find so hard to get out, thanks 🙏
This is so interesting and makes so much sense. I love the way you break everything down. At least now I know why I'm a shopaholic my biggest distraction I thought it was purely due to dopamine searching, probably a mixture of everything.
Thank you for talking about chronic physical pain. I totally agree with what you're saying!Terrible general anxiety, read your book and bought your programme, love your yoga nidra meditation. Dr John Sarno's book also helped my scared brain to understand what's going on with me physically, he called it Tension Myositis Syndrome.
Thank you... I know you've probably told us in other videos, however I'm definitely in that freeze mode... Will you please explain how we fix that hole in the haul???🙏🙏🙏
Discuss how iatrogenic death is third leading cause of death in usa. Not talked about because doctors are perceived to be infallible and almighty. High suicide rate could also be a result of so many patients dying or being seriously injured by medical doctors and their perceived role in the mistake. No wonder they are stressed. TRD....treatment resistance depression. The patient is to blame, not the SSRI, TCA, ETC

I'm in the same situation. I'm almost positive I can heal my autoimmune disease, if I can get a grip on the anxiety. ♡

Amazing. Thank you! Keep up with this, please. We need your voice!

How about the current never-ending trauma affecting us all? Good video, you're definitely onto what's happening inside us.
Another insightful and revealing episode from Dr Kennedy.

So who would you refer that patient to???
Thank you for everything that you are shearing
Would you please expand a little more on why you are not so enthusiastic about Psychedelics?
Why is there no trauma informed service? It makes no sense, only for companies making money..
I dont think theres any places that treat trauma or anxiety well, theyre mostly hit and miss, ive been to a few
