    99 hand. can go between checking flop and betting flop. some straight draws to fade. give gutshot hands like JT/65 free cards. Firing small (1/4th pot, 1/3rd pot) can't be all that bad. especially if one is aggressive and gets looked up light. Turn bet needs to be bigger but you know that. Lean towards full pot. River is interesting between check or bet with JT and all flushes getting there although KQ now makes 2 pair.. Bart Hanson says to bet/fold these spots so.. i guess i'd lean towards that. especially if you'll get called from Qx/KT hands. Folding to raise is "pretty easy", 10% they have KQ and the other 90% they have JT/Flush.

You seem to have your mind right in making proper decisions amongst your play as well as considering what to do with different player types. Keep up the great work, and I absolutely love the trick shots at the end. Keep up the great work and Good Luck at the tables brother!!!

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My issue is that you seem to run really good / play moderately well in moderately soft games but you are very loose. Like a lot of these hands from upfront (QJs / 76s) and button (85s).. are just really loose. But it seems like it works well (somehow) in these games. It also sounds like 2/5 south point game is extremely soft. That Q2s hand is ridiculous. not just for the fact of calling out of big blind here but.. so many streets where you get value owned and somehow you didn't and/or didn't get bluffed off the best hand.
    Like 0 reason to call with Q2s here.. I'd be way better with making $175 preflop than calling $20.

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If I saw someone opening all these hands and calling all these hands preflop, there is zero way I'd fold TT on A35 board. Also would 3-bet preflop. TT there is worth at least 1 peel card.

    With the flopped top set of 9’s, I would have bet the flop and been ok with taking it down right then. It’s ok to win small pots too. They add up. Just one mans opinion.

    Really enjoyed the 33 hand, I learned from that! I absolutely would have made the same mistake, but hearing you break it down made perfect sense. Another thought… it was a reminder to me to not get locked into your initial assessment from pre/post flop action, always have to be careful not to overlook additional info from the turn and river.

    • @RobStacks
      @RobStacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey right on! Yeah Even if I just call and he does show AJ its still ok, like I’m not gonna be upset that we didn’t reraise because he likely folds right..so ya that was a good one to learn from. If it was some crazy wild fish, then a 3 bet makes sense.

    Great vlog! If you are against Garrett or some other killer, the river 3-bet with 33 is fine, but, against most players, probably a flat. The 3-bet would probably also be fine against the guy that puked on himself depending on how far along he was. Keep up the great work!

    Question I played a similar hand to your full house with pocket 3’s. I opened with a raise to $10 in first position in a 1/3 game with pocket 10’s. I got 5 callers. Flop j10j for full house. I lead small for $10 to find out who had the J Th flop had two clubs and of course many possible straight draws. The button raised to $40. I raised to $140. This where I question my raise. Should have just called and brought in everyone to hit their flush or straight or was my reraise correct? Everyone folded but the button who had the J We got it in and won a $600 pot.

    • @RobStacks
      @RobStacks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Tom! Yeah I think flatting that $40 is better. You definitely want those opp in the middle with straight and flush draws putting more money in drawing dead.

      @@RobStacks you're winning the 66 hand like 20-25% of the time even when you do hit the set. Figure like 11% win when you hit the set and roughly 10-20% additional when flop comes out favorable and/or you don't face that much aggression.
