- Hey! My name is Mariano, and this channel was created to share some poker sessions and travel.
In this episode, I play some poker at South Point Casino, in Las Vegas. I get some good hands to go along with questionable plays... what else is new?

Phenomenal, excellent filming here. We are able to see hole cards and all community cards, run outs.....hand descriptions and analysis are pure....this is one of, if not the best content for purists

Yep.. for some reason i hate not seeing hole cards (where the vlogger is just filming their face while talking abt the hand). In the same way, i hate when the screen is split 50/50 the vloggers face and the hand in play (andrew neeme). Only andrew lok, mariano, and brad owen do it right.

It's happened to me twice before - both times flopped quads - and I hear the magic word "raise". Ah, please sir, please deposit all your money right into my pocket.

South Point is my favorite local poker room. I would have stopped in, but had surgery on that day. The chips must be new, because they were always sticky in the past. This makes me happy they cleaned them finally. You have a great vlog similar to Neeme when he first started out. Your play by play is appreciated. Hope to run into you in the future. Good Luck!
South Point was my poker mentor's favourite spot in Vegas. He may be gone now, but that casino is a perfect mix of an older atmosphere and great vibes.
Yeah, a lot of OMC's chill here, but it's a nice way to get away from the bustle of the strip while still having the same great vibes.

I’m glad you understand the concept of only getting 1 or 2 streets of value in certain spots. I think a mistake is not c betting in a lot of spots like when you had Aces on the Q/J/6 flush draw flop; hands that will call a bet- 10/9, K/J, K/Q, K/10, J/10, A/10, and sometimes 10/8backdoor flush draw, 8/9 backdoor fd, and almost all those hands check back and get a cheap turn in position.(Including 6x like this hand) I think c betting flop, check turn and bet river if opponent checks turn back is a better 2 street line. Also when you flopped top set of queens; I’m ok with a check back on a dry board where you have top set but if your going to raise turn which looks super nutted, I think 1/3 c bet on flop and just keep betting turn look weaker and gets more value and could also get floated a ton on flop by J/10s bdfd etc tons of hands that pick up a little equity on the turn and then semi bluff raise turn; my point being I think you should experiment different strategies for extracting value in these spots. I like to go real thin for value too, cause now a days typically people lead rivers with value hands, and play out of flow cause they’re scared it’s gonna check through. So you know when they check 9/10 you’re good, however that QQ hand I think was a little too thin, in terms of combos you are either getting called by a straight or some 2 pair combo, unless they have like a random J5 there. Anyways great content, I love your videos. not trying to be a comment pro lol just throwing some advice out there. Keep up the good work, and be safe!

Last hand should of check...if nothing can call your bet, they can definitely bluff.
I would check cuz there were too many hands that can beat A10 and a good bluff raise would be a tough to face.
Overall nice video!!! My first time in Vegas was at the south point time share in 2010. It was new years and I decided to walk back from the strip back to south point. Boy that was a big mistake, not realizing how far it was haha. No uber or lyft back then.
I love South Point. along with a good poker room it's a high quality hotel that offers great value

Try The Orleans. Played a 2/5 there about a month ago. Very surprised to see this poker room with like 20+ tables going.
Awesome video, unbelievable session. Seems like you should of won 5k, with the hands you had. Should of bet the guy with 86 out of pot after flop when you had AA. Great playing!

As always, great content! In regards to the first hand with quad 55....I obviously wasn't there, so I couldn't see his body language or anything, but you mentioned he shook his head and therefore thought he was bluffing. Are you ruling out the possibility of a cooler?? He checked the flop and called your bet on the turn and jammed river. To me that looks like A4 suited at a minimum or even pocket 10s. 🤷🏾

C'mon man! Don't let them get free cards! And The bet where you had A/T was wrong, and the fold was definitely a mistake. He obviously saw that you were not that strong and tried to bluff you out.
