The Nissan Rogue 2021 is a very important vehicle to the brand for one very simple reason. It’s their best seller. Now in its 3rd generation, how has Nissan improved it?
Unlike its competitors, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is only available with one engine (for now at least). It is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 181 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque (135 kW & 245 Nm). That is a moderate bump in power from the last generation Rogue but it’s still lower than some of the base engines that Mazda, Toyota, & Honda offer in their models.
The 2.5L engine also received a bump in fuel efficiency. It is now rated for 7.2 L/100km (32.7 MPG) on a highway and 9.2 L/100km (25.6 MPG) in a city. A 0.3 & 0.4 L/100km improvement over the old Rogue.
The 2021 Nissan Rogue starts at $28,498 CAD ($25,650 USD) and for your money you get a full suite of advanced safety & driver aids. Upgrade to this $40,000 CAD ($36,830 USD) Platinum trim and the 2021 Rogue becomes a compact SUV with every feature that you & your family will ever need. Enjoy this 2021 Nissan Rogue review.

Are you picking the new Nissan Rogue as your next family crossover SUV?
Bought a 2021 Platinum 2 months ago and happy with it so far. Just wish it had a bit more power but great car overall.
@@DeanApril14 Congratulations on your purchase! Yea, hopefully Nissan will give this generation of Rogue another engine option and hopefully not make us wait for the next generation Rogue.
Thanks for watching!
I'm a Honda guy so the CRV would be at the top of my list but I'm impressed by the interior quality and looks of this new Rogue. Well done Nissan.
Yes I plan on buying a 2021 rogue platinum dark grey color as well...
I did and love it. Got it at the end of February. I personally would rather have the fuel economy over a bigger engine. Enough pick-up for me to merge onto the crazy expressway traffic in Chicago. All I need. :-)
Bought my 2021 Rogue Platinum at the end of February. Could not be happier. I much prefer fuel economy over more HP. Truly, not driving the Autobahn. I'm going to Trader Joe's.
You didn’t mention the remote control start?
Hello, my name is James, and I'm a new sub here. Love your monotone, soft-spoken reviews. Btw, love your "peasant blockers" in reference to the duo from Straight Pipes!
Hi James, Thank you for watching! Yes, I do have a monotone voice (some like like, other hate it) but it's what I was born with haha.
Glad to see you caught that reference about the sun shades Lol.
That grey color looks very good on the new rogue...😍
So Helpfull
Thank you & thanks for watching!
@@MGReviewsBlog anytime bro
Thank you for the review! we are thinking about getting this model later this year :) It's great to see some areas in poco, I live in Coquitlam haha.
Thanks! Haha, nice to connect with fellow locals.
Great channel guys, I've watched a ton of your vidz.
I've narrowed my 2021 choices to the; Rogue, Rav4, CRV, and the CX5.
But now I'm stuck.
- While the CX5 has the best body, the infotainment system sucks.
- The CRV seems like the obvious choice, but its ugly.
- The RAV4 is a top rival, but the infotainment system sucks, and its ugly.
- The Rogue is what I want, but I'm concerned about spending $45K on a simple vehicle, when I could get a used Lexus for the same price.
Information constipation is what I have right now, do you have any advice?
Thanks for watching! Do you live here in Canada or the United States? If the States, the CX-5 comes with the newest infotainment system and that would seem like the best compact SUV for your needs. In Canada we probably will get the new infotainment system as well but I don't know if it'll be a 2021.5 or 2022 model year.
I think the Rogue might be your best bet if you want to buy right now. MSRP is $40,000 CAD (before fees & taxes) but the other SUVs are a bit more expensive for the same features. The Honda is around $42,000 CAD for the Touring trim, the Rav4 is around $41,700 CAD for the Limited trim, & the CX-5 is around $44,000 CAD for the Signature trim (the GT trim is the same as the Platinum trim of the Rogue).
I hope this helps and thanks again for watching!
@@MGReviewsBlog thanks for the quick response. Yeah, I think I will go with the Rogue. It just feels like the right fit...
Love everything about the new design except the flat bottomed steering which I hate. Hope Nissan would offer an option to have a normal, round steering wheel when they release this Australia.
LOL - that's what bothers you? So confused. Who cares?????

Yes. Not what I like.
Remote control start?
Yes, it is available on the SV and Platinum trims
Is that the bolder grey?
Nice video. They definitely changed it for the better on this model than last years. I made a video similar too. I dropped a LIKE
Thank you! Glad you liked the video!
