    Its always a good idea to fill your oil cooler up after you mock fit your setup and are ready for final installation. Just so you don't have a oil level drop when the thermostatic plate opens up fully.

    It would be nice to have a drain plug on the cooler when doing oil vhanges so users canbdrain the old oil out of the cooler as well. The oil cooler lines are mounted on top of cooler, meaning at an oil chabgw, you will have old oil in your cooler and some of the lines.

    You can hold the gas pedal all the way down when cranking the engine. This will cause the car to crank but not start, that way you make sure the oil pump fills up the cooler andnfilter lines first, get the air out, then try to start the car by releasing the gas pedal. This way the engine doesnt run low on oil for few seconds when the car is started.

    Hi, is it compatible with the 2006 Europe 300hp version that comes from the factory with the sandwich water exchanger at the base of the oil filter? also there is the level sensor next to the oil filter and I don't know if it has place for the thermostatic sandwith.

    Yeah that happened to me when installing a new dual pass radiator, while drilling mounting holes for it, my radiator decided it wanted some new breathing holes in it.. 😂

    20:07 why would the orientation make it leak? Makes no sense to me.

    Whats the path the oil takes through the cooler sandwhich plate? It needs to go through filter first then the oil cooler. If it goes through cooler and then the filter, it might clog the cooler over long period of time. The cooler fins are very small.

    If anyone can answer my question, I've recently bought this kit and was wondering how would you get a oil temp sensor fitted into this sandwich plate?

    Question for ya: Does the Z1 under-shroud include new hardware for mounting or do I need to spend another $18 for the kit?

    “Insulator pads” didn’t know we want to keep oil warm in the oil cooler. Must of meant anti vibration pads

    What do you do with the water lines?

      The HR engines (2007 and 2008) do not have factory coolant based oil cooler. You probably have a DE engine or REV up.

      If you already have a coolant based oil cooler, an additional oil cooler will not be needed unless you are redlining and tracking your car all the time.

    Not the greatest tutorial. Is there another one that shows more of the product and orientation?

    Does this require the oil system to be primed for no dry start?

      Obviously its always a good idea. Why would you not? risk vs reward right .

    • @papimasfuerte4671
      @papimasfuerte4671 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Keep your foot all the way on gas pedal when cranking. The car goes into clear flood mode and turns off the injectors. This way the engine just cracks, allowing the oil to circulate, but does not start engine.
