Hi Z1, just installed the 34 row engine oil cooler that i bought from you, im in australia so it middle of winter, like 6c or 43f here. After install my car could go into limp mode and i dont have a obd tool my research tells me its the oil cooler as oil is too cool coming out from the cooler to the hot engine. Is there any light you can share? Thx
Didn’t know you could put a socket on the threaded piece that connects the thermostatic plate to the oil filter housing. Thats the most important part of this install
Do you guys have a video install on a Nismo - since 2015+ has the oil cooler already there (at least I believe so) - so knowing the work arounds for that would be great.
Yeah I'd like to see a short video on how to install the oil cooler sandwich plate when you have the factory oil cooler. My 2014 370Z sport has an oil cooler from factory, and I'm pretty sure you have to remove that and either connect the coolant lines for the factory cooler together or there are ways to just delete the 2 coolant lines. I wonder if the instructions for installing the Z1 oil cooler mention anything about removing the factory cooler. Also, I didn't know that some of the early 370Zs didn't even come with a cooler...
It is not thermostat opening oil flow to the cooler. Plate oil in and out passages always wide open. Thermostat closes tiny pass through to the oil filter. Also oil lines/plate priming would prevent dry start. Just crank engine with starter couple times for 10 seconds till oil light goes off..
This video would have been great when I installed mine. Took me longer and the hose was the hardest part to manipulate. Granted I didn't have a lift. Oil cooler is fantastic though.
This guy must have always had everything right at his reach to just throw stuff away like he does. Lol i keep all kinds of lil metal pieces incase u need to make a lil bracket or something
To do an oil change with the oil cooler do it normal or need to empty the oil in the oil cooler then refill the oil cooler?
What is that retainer clip tool?! At 8:48, i need that. I've broken so many of those trying to get them out with a flat head.
Are there pre drilled inlets for oil temp and pressure on the sandwich plate ?
Why 5w-40?

Did you get the thermostatic or non-thermostatic sandwich plate?
Hi Z1 Motorsports,
Can you do a video on how to change the starter on a 370Z?
I can help if you need, there’s a video on my account that briefly describes it but lmk if you need any more info

Why do you guys use the wood?

What’s the total installation time ?
Eep no torque specs on the center bolt?
Well how does it bolt on to a deep rivvet mine dont
I had to shave off the brackets man dang (13:48).
Better than having to bend it to make them fit😂 good thing though I didn’t put it on my car yet

So I imagine that this cannot be installed on an Infiniti G37 Coupe with active cruise control as the distance module is mounted in the exact spot?
will the billet sandwich plate be for sale anytime soon?
Of course yall posted this a week after I install mine 😤
Doesn’t this car have the small factory oil cooler off to the right?(Passenger side)
Only 2013+ this guys knowledge wasn’t exactly great imo this is a 2011 or 2012 so it does not have the factory cooler
