Hey Ross, yesterday was our first trip with our G3500. We went straight from picking it up at the dealer, directly to a campground. Got everything hooked up, and the neighbor asked how long we have been RVing. I said about 4 hours! First timer here. But he was impressed by how quickly i set everything up. Honesty, learned everything from your videos. Just wanted to say thank you and keep up the great content!
I love that both of you found all the issues - no matter how minor they might seem - for them to have on record and ultimately improve other folks's units as well. Thank you! It's clear that you benefitted from feedback that other folks gave them. This collective effort is beautiful to see.
Thanks for sharing all the details of your Brinkley G service. You mentioned a relief cut they did. If easy, could you please explain what that was? Is that something all model G will need? Keep on truckin'
On the outer wall of the RV there is a relief cut just under the bed slide. It’s covered by a black plastic trim piece. That relief cut just allows the side wall to flex some. Flex is expected but what you don’t want is failure. The inner relief cut was just to allow the inner wall to flex some as well. Our G is an early model. Some early models showed a little inner wall crack. Purely cosmetic but Brinkley wanted to make sure it didn’t get worse. Your second question I don’t know enough to answer. I think since it was identified early on they have corrected it on future VINs. Ours is #065
Happy belated birthday. Thank you for the video and sharing. Did you mention doing something different with the water filter in fridge to bypass? If so, Im interested in additional info if possible. Again, thanks for your videos, we enjoy them. G3500 #118.
So sorry for the late reply! GE makes a filter plug that goes in place of the $60 water filter. It’s not really needed because the G comes with a triple water filter
Really enjoyed the video. You have me wondering what all I should be looking for in my travels and what upgrades will be done to my newer #766 to also look for. You both are great ambassadors for Brinkley, and I believe Brinkley has the best RVs and customer service.
Some of the items they performed were only needed because ours was such an early build. A lot of things they have fixed during production over time. We do love Brinkley!
First off, Happy Birthday. Brinkley is supposed to have a great pdi, so why is there so many problems. I am a member of the Facebook page, and I see so many small problems. It almost makes me wonder if they are worth the money
Most of the issues corrected at our visit were satisfaction campaigns. One example…the attic vents. They had 3 RVs that showed cracking on the attic vents. 3 out of 1000’s built already. They discovered that the sealant they used was not flexible enough and could cause cracking of the abs plastic vent. They decided to replace everyone’s vents to ensure it didn’t become a problem for owners. They didn’t say take it to your dealer. They authorized mobile reps to receive the vents via shipping and replace them. EVERY RV will have small problems. The real determining factor is how do they take care of the customer?? Also their last 25% of the construction stations (out of 40 stations) are for inspection. They also take 360 degree high definition photos of every RV before it rolls out of the factory. I saw recently that someone asked if their windows in the white section should have white graphics covering them. They thought Brinkley forgot to install. Brinkley pulled the photos and saw that RV had the correct window graphics before it was shipped and could prove it. They suspect the dealer removed them prior to delivery.
@chasing70degrees23 it's not the problems that were caused by other materials, but the fact that you had cabinets the track was not correct, or the trim that had paint peeling off, or the fact that they had to put a relief cut on something under your bed. I've watched all the videos from Josh and BTBRV on the tours of the factory and the shake down table, but just don't understand how some of small stuff gets by. Will I buy a brinkley when the time is right, probably yes, but I'm glad I didn't buy one right away. Like they say you never buy a new car the first model year, you wait till they work all the bugs out first. I wish we'll and I will continue watching your videos
They didn’t. We are full time so we just made a trip out of it. I’d rather make the trip than have someone less knowledgeable work on our house. They were more than good to us throughout our stay.
@@lisawright9626 one of the reasons we brought ours to Brinkley was because we are full time and can’t have our RV in “prison” at a random RV dealership for repairs.

If you aren't a nerd about a niche thing you aren't doing life right IMO 😁
💯
Lifting the nose. I NEVER knew that, such a obvious thing that I never thought of. Will never forget it now. WOW
Crazy drain hack huh?! JD was so knowledgeable about everything Brinkley. That’s why we didn’t want to take it to just any ole dealer

How much did Brinkley reimburse you for driving so far?
They didn’t. We are full time so we just made a trip out of it. I’d rather make the trip than have someone less knowledgeable work on our house. They were more than good to us throughout our stay.
How long total was your G in the service dept?
We dropped off Monday morning and picked up Friday morning.

Just curious how many items on your rig needed fixing? Must not been many for such a quick turn around kinda of unheard 1 wk these days!
