Let us know, which of these was the worst moment for you? 😳
The pontoons always make me lol 😂
Number One. One of these days, the bow will emerge from the water and the kids will be gone.
Morons taking their kids/dogs out and putting them in the front!! They should be arrested. Sickening.
@@Scopper81 yes, I agree. Number 1 was very scary, I am surprised none of the kids went in the water.
The lady trowing out the beer…no evidence
The first mistake made by all these captains was at the dealership, when they bought lake boats for sea use
And then they load up the bow with all the people.
@@edrodrigues3333 Oh and just to add, make sure the outboard is tucked right in so when you stuff it, it really forces the bow into the water
This is NOT ocean boating The Canal runs between a river and a bay.
@@billholt716 which is coming from the Atlantic ocean. 🙄
@@billholt716 so have you never stuffed the bow out at sea?
I grew up here. Been through the canal a hundred times. 1, slow down. 2, don't buy a bow rider. 3, don't overload your boat. 4, keep the weight in the rear. 5, keep in mind that a large percentage of boat owners have no freaking idea what they are doing!

😂😂
You were there?
I’ve never seen a captain do every single possible thing to flood the bow until now. That was perfectly executed.
He thought he had rented a U Boat
And no one thought to shift the weight? Some people think the ocean is like a bath
I think we can call them boat owners. They clearly have no idea but are willing to sink the boat and kill people.
Lol, 🤣 he's special alright. 🤣
theres a big differrence between a qualifed and experenced captain and a boat owner.its an insult to call any of these boat drivers owners captains
Note to self: never purchase a boat with a bow that was designed to work like a snow shovel.
At least not in that environment
We call it a “ladle” 🥄
If he were to get his nose up on plane a bit and navigate through the waves, this may have been avoidable.🥴👍🙏🙏🙏
@@Poppa_Badger Agreed. Still seems like a glorified bathtub to me. Any water over that bow is going straight into the boat. I want a closed bow boat for seaworthiness.
ya, not only that, i don't understand why people will take a "lake type of boat" onto the ocean? if it were me, i would buy a boat with a better designed bow made for this type of environment if wanting to go into this type of environment or not go at all, right tool for the right job at hand.
Ahh let me empty out my beer can before i look for my life jacket and we go down, brilliant...
I was thinking the same damn thing!
Can’t have the troopers seeing you drink while you’re tryina be rescued.
Even worse it’s let me empty my beer can before I get my butt off the bench and help save the kids who were drowning in the bow of the boat. Only one guy helped them. The rest of the adults just sat there looking stupid.
No one is drowning in a foot of water

Love the lady who is more concerned about dumping her drink out than all the kids on the boat.
Getting rid of the evidence
The lack of lifejackets worn there especially with kids on board is truely amazing!
Illegal not to wear life jackets in NZ for these size boats. But what is it with the basics of weight distribution?
Lifejackets suck during nice weather - but the kids should always wear them when underway.

Too many boats in a too small place leaving a horrible wake.
New Jersey has an interesting definition of "No Wake"... I grew up in Southwest Florida and no wake means NO WAKE. It's painful idling out through the canals to get to the harbor, but every boater I knew followed the instructions!
All the dumbasses yelling slow down are creating wakes themselves. But not any surprise, these are the same idiots that elected Christie.

@@alfsmith4936 Tongue in cheek, but this is literally the reason. "oh we go boating all the time, this boat's fine, we've sunk millions into buying and maintaining it, it'll be fine"
This video should be mandatory viewing for all coast guard boat navigation classes. The current is wicked strong that by itself screams NO BOW RIDING.
I highly highly doubt if you’re making a wake that it would make a bit of difference going through there. The waves are already bigger than any boats wake. I think the thinking behind the “no wake zone” is because it’s a fairly narrow canal with lots of back and forth traffic so they don’t want ppl blasting through there too close to other boats. Either way this Canal is a perfect example of why a lot of ppl should be required to take a boaters safety course upon purchase of a boat because there is just too many morons and ppl that lack common sense out there.
These people that can't figure out riding in the bow in those conditions should not have a boat
Personally, and as an owner of a bow rider, I think the problem here is not so much the boat but the distribution of weight within the boat and the failure of the ‘captain’ to recognise and react to the dangerous situation he was about to put his passengers in. Correct speed, trim and weight distribution would have seen the boat go through there without too much issue in my opinion.
It has to do with weight as well for bow riders
@DeusVult1527 I agree that bow riders are not designed for those conditions. However, any competent skipper would have got that boat through there without sinking it and putting their passengers in danger, which was the comment I was making.
Great idea , let’s overload a little 18 foot boat and go out into rough seas with little kids on the boat . Brilliant !
They make boating look so peaceful and relaxing.
It always amazes me how few people know about weight distribution and trimming the motor up
100% seem to me like everyone has the engine tucked instead of slightly trimmed, especially for the low bow riders
No idea what that means.
Trim is definitely a foreign term to these folks.
Man !!! No shit !!!! Unreal aint it ?
@@theblackspotguild , he had the motor trimmed down, where the motor was trying to push the bus down. You trim it up, and it raises the bow. The "Captain" had probably never had a boat driving lesson in his life.
I have been a boat owner for nearly 40 years and you know, having your life jacket on before the boat is sinking is a pretty good idea.

Most of these could have been avoided by the captain slowing down and moving the weight to the back of the boat.
This man has the answer!!! It's a two part solution to keep this from happening! Moving all the weight from the front to the back is just as important in almost each of these situations. I don't understand why these people are in the front to begin with? That's the worst place to sit when there's even a moderate chop. My dad was a captain and was always reminding us to stay in the back of the boat when underway. Even when it's calm, you can hit a wake and send everyone flying. Next to the No Wake sign, there should be a Sit In The Back sign. 😄
@@Jonathan.D exactly 😮
I LOVE the 1st boat, when they know they are in trouble the guy runs to the back to have the woman dump out the beer and then someone is using a little cup to bail the boat :)
@trvman1 They definitely had no clue and just panicked.
That is the fault of the "Captain" of the vessel. He should have moved the people to the back to prevent more water from coming over the front. If the deck had scuppers, the deck could have drained out. The first thing I always install on my boats is scuppers. If you take water over the bow, you throttle up, and the water runs right out. I had a little 17' skiff that got filled to the gunnels when a larger boat swamped us. All I did was give it full throttle, and in less than a minute, it was empty.
@@Jonathan.D Not to mention that most bow riders, the end of the bow's slope down make a nice scoop.
I loved how with each successive dip of the bow, the boat kept taking on more water, yet the idiot weekend captain thought "I'll just keep going on the same disastrous course and just "power through it!""
The boat was trying to be a submarine. Totally wrong hull for those conditions.
... even tho he didn't really "use" the available power. Or trim. Or brains.
@@pippin1ful wrong skipper probably never even took a safe boating course
There were several times during that event where even a reasonably competent person at the helm could have saved it. The people at the front (and probably everyone else aboard as well) thought everything was just fine even when it was obvious that they were done.
He could have trimmed up, had everyone get to the back of the boat, and got on the power a bit and changed to a 45 degree angle in order to get to the calm water ahead and let the pumps do their job. Of course, he did none of those things and just decided to keep on keepin’ on!! Haha!!
@@randaltotten9358 Not to mention a Salt Water Safe Boating Course ... cause, damn, it gets "real" real quick in salt water!!
I remember when my dad and I installed a second bilge pump, everyone said it was redundant but one day it came in handy during a sudden storm. Saved us from sinking. Everyone should consider two or more bilge pumps for moments like this.
My biggest pet peev is Captains that leave their fenders over the side when running.

Life jackets, fire extinguisher? Briefing on holding on?
That they are on a Bayliner or Sea Ray and that they might sink any minute?

North Jersey and NY. South of the Driscol Bridge we're sort of normal. WE consider ourselves Central and South Jersey but then there's Camden aka East Philly.
Those kids went scuba diving and boating at the same time. Impressive.

I worked on the water for 40 years, it never ceases to amaze me what boaters are capable of!
Yes it's best to have everyone in the bow of the boat screaming. Seems to work out well every time. 👍👍
My boating experiences have shown me that most people who own a boat probably shouldn't. 😉😂
Not to mention friends who blindly trust the boat owners abilities.
As a local to see jobbie Nooner I ca confirm. The simple life jacket wearing is already way too much for most to abide by.
@Mary Campbell you should get into sea kayaking, very tranquil and it will still satisfy your deck hand abilities. Don't buy anything shorter than a 16 footer
@Mary Campbell Cool.
When I lived in south Florida, when we would go boating, and the stuff we would see, I was constantly amazed there were not a dozen fatalities every weekend.
The guy using a cup to get the water out needs a medal 🏅

He’s winning for sure, just not sure if he’s in the right league.
Determination.
That's what I thought at first, but I'm pretty sure he was pouring out his beer before the police arrived.
lmao, I missed that some how, but after watching, why am I NOT surprised to hear this?.. :)
The first sinking was due to the captain making a number of errors.
(1) The vessel was heavily laden. This reduces freeboard and makes shipping water more likely.
(2) The vessel continued to power into the back of waves once it began shipping water. The moment you begin to ship water your vessel is in danger. Rather than continue, the skipper should have put the vessel in neutral and brought people aft.
Down the Jersey Shore we call these Captains Bennie's.
Amazing how parents take the whole family out to watch them waterboard their kids
Some kids need to be Waterboard
It also puzzles me that passengers are not told to sit at the rear of those open boats during entrance crossing so they can keep the bow up.
Easier to let them stuff the bow three times and never see them in the canal again...
@Alex Kitner problem is, it seems many boaties are doing the same thing. They send the wife and kids in the front, no life jackets, no idea how to cross an entrance and continues on till its too late.

The boats are dumb but IDGAF if people want to buy them and mess around in the bay or raft up at F-cove or Tices then good for them. When they start trying to run the canal with no clue and no respect on a busy weekend then it becomes a problem. The great thing about the canal back in the day was that those who shouldn't be in there stayed out because of its reputation. It has gotten worse but its not the canal, its traffic from all these new credit card captains half of which manage to find that sweet spot where they make the biggest wake possible and the rest do 2 knots SOG with the tide in a 23 foot outboard that can just barely keep control and bitch when they're looking up at the anchor of a 35 Henriques thats doing 8 knots at idle...

Is Captain error avoidable? In a word, YES! Kids in the bow in rough waters. Going out in a bow rider in rough water. Stuffing the bow about 10 times taking on a huge amounts of water during each stuffing. Boat not trimmed correctly. Fenders hanging off the side of the boat (rookie behavior) And the best part, they didn’t even look for life vests until the boat was sinking. These are your kids you’re putting in danger. Boating is a blast and really fun until somebody gets hurt, drowns or dies. Safety is everything so you can go out and have fun and not have to worry. At least one kid was wearing a life vest. PS when your boat is listing to port, get all passengers on the starboard side. Pontoon boats are not made for sea conditions. Only placid water.
and, one time of making your passengers that scared, they will not want to go out again
Bow riders shorter than 20ft would eat up those swells with the bow up. Only boat that doesn’t belong there are the pond toons. Everyone is trimmed down in they’re center consoles and I’d cruise right on past in my 17’8” sea swirl bow rider with the bow up. Only commented because my bow rider has ran 12 miles out in the keys in 7-8 swells and it also runs 14 inches of water no jackplate just trimmed. Bow riders are the best bang for your buck guaranteed. At least used ones.
I get your point, but the speed of other boats is what the causes the most problems here. We’ve been out there when the water is glass and one douche bag speeding thru can ruin ur day real fast.

As a lake boat owner for 18 years. (18.5 foot fish and ski) these are not the conditions to take some of these boats out. We’ve been on Lake Michigan with similar conditions and immediately turned around and took the boat out. Also not a single one of those boats is actually traveling at No wake speed. They need to ticket most of them.
Lake Michigan is no joke, i have been in 10 to12 foot waves that where steeper than salt water. If you go somewhere where the authorities are required to regulate peoples behavior, expect the worst much like that big city on lake Michigan.

It's has always amazed me how little knowledge of stability, timing and basic knowledge boaters have. Here in BC Canada you only need an online license to operate fairly large and powerful boats, it's crazy really.
I’m a longtime BC mariner and I recently went out on a rental boat from Granville Island with some friends who don’t boat. Long story short they we’re having a great time driving a boat for the first time and I was enjoying the sun. all of a sudden my buddy stuffed it good on a standing wave out by the iron workers bridge. I jumped on the helm immediately and recovered it luckily I can only imagine what would’ve happened if I had decided to stay home that day
Live in bc, and if by crazy you mean awesome I agree completely
In Michigan you take a class in 6th grade and your boaters license is good for life. I never understood how this made sense.
USA is NOT about common sense and being responsable. It's all about sales and money so if the rules are kept VERY low, then more and more ijuts can buy boats.

The state police's local headquarters are located directly off of the canal a few hundred yards from the south end of the canal, so it's not unusual to find a patrol boat nearby, especially on a busy summer day. This HQ and it's marina can be seen clearly from 3:05 to 3:20 and the watch tower is often monitored by staff who will get on a loudspeaker to scold passing boats that do not adhere to the no-wake requirement. Despite this, navigating this stretch can be harrowing on the best of days, evened for seasoned locals.
Tidal conditions often cause the current in the canal to make it difficult to achieve forward progress while still obeying the no-wake restriction. This fact alone can cause standing waves to form behind vessels that continue onward. Couple that with high boat traffic, large yachts, a bridge with two supports located within the channel itself that significantly speed up water flow locally and reduce clearance, and wave reflection from the bulkheads and you've got a potential for disaster for the uninitiated.
It is imperative to trim your boat accordingly to achieve a high bow stance and to keep passengers as far back as possible. Regardless of no-wake rules, it is still necessary to actively work the throttle to avoid pitching into the wake.
Good info, thank you.
The only one who tried, and actively worked the throttle, was the pontoon boat. Should have moved everybody to the back and made sure EVERYONE had life jackets on before entering that battlefield, and he didn't react quickly enough, but he at least had a decent grasp of what to do once it hit the fan.
@@notexpatjoeif you want to be that pedantic, the *actual* correct solution is to balance your boat however it needs to be balanced. With a decent bow that might be midship, but for others including pontoons, depending on load out, you may well want to put people as far rear as possible. The only definitively bad idea is putting people, or maybe children on the bow.
At risk of being pedantic, I'm not so sure outboard trim is always good for raising the bow. At slow speeds the prop is pumping water out from under the back of the boat and trimming out will add more weight by pushing the water higher. Then the cantilevered portion in the front of the boat (if any) has to be supported by the center going deeper.
A big factor seems to be the short waves when the shape between peaks happens to match the curve of the boat. Shallow water compared to wave height causes that, I think, no matter what causes the wave's height.
A wave barrier between northbound & southbound traffic might help. Also, I looked at the canal from some of the dead ends in "streetview" and it was calm as a lake 😆
I love how they just let that small child keep taking it to his face. Brilliant 👏
Many years ago (over 50), I had made one trip in the Point Pleasant canal. I had, at the time, a nice restored Century Palomino cruiser. A good wooden boat. With an old but dependable 50 hp V4 Evenrude. A few times, during that passage, I found myself standing still, bow in the air, behind much larger boats, setting up standing wake waves. Earlier that day, I had been out in the ocean, and found it an easier cruise not too far off the shore line. That, was my first and last passage in the Point Pleasant canal. I went back to Lake Hopatcong.
As a first boat owner from AUS and eager to get out there but very scared of these situations my first guess watching the first boat was the weight distribution mainly the people very uneven and also could it have been corrected some what by adjusting the trim?any advice and comments will be taken on board with confidence and appreciation thankyou
yeah, was about to say the same, all the boats who had some serious issues with taking in water all seem to be doing under 10-15 knots with the motor trimmed all the way down.. they are asking for their boat to drink some water, trim up the outboard, apply throttle and take it to below planning level, stops making big wash yet keeps the front out of the the stuffing zone
She start pouring out the beer😂😂😂😂😂 like that helps. The moment when death call your name
Being from the Netherlands, I had to pick up my jaw from the floor. Unbelievable. The stupidity of like 90% of these so called skippers just baffles me.
Why being from the Netherlands is relevant?
lol@@Gyuresssz
@@Gyuresssz Because NL is situated on the northsea, with the entire western and northern border. We are the delta of 3 major European rivers (Rhine, Meuse and Schelde)
Half of NL is below sealevel. We created much of it by taking it from the sea. Weve been seafearing for 1000s of years. Tiny as we are, we ruled the worlds seas for a century. Everyone is a sailor here, as we are all raised with water and all are married to the sea. Every native can swim and passed 1 or more exams to prove it.
For going out in motorized boats like these, or even sailing boats, you need to study the rules and pass the exam for that. For westerschelde, where i live, you need 2 even, bc its a busy shipping lane with the worlds biggest ships coming through. Passing that exam is needed for every river, sea arm and sea. Only on small inlands waters (not rivers) you are allowed to boat without a license and engine hp's are very limited for those. (usually 5hp or smth) and then there still are speed restrictions.
Every dutch boy spends numerous hours and days on the beach. Thats the thing your parents buy you; a bucket and a shovel. And then you can go study the water, as it takes down your sandcastles when the tide comes in. And you learn on a small scale how water behaves.
Thats what we do and what we are.
And those rules and so are in place bc of many deaths on the water or by the water. And even with those rules, people still die. But not as much as it used to be.
What you see in this video (and more like it) would NEVER be allowed in NL. There is NO way. If anyone would try, they would probably jail them. And for good reason, bc what these idiots are doing is asking for casualties. Those bow rider and other constructs have no place even near a sea. And then they are on there with children and babies even, without life jackets. No wonder there is continuous guard by water police, bc without the number of casualties would be staggering.
A kid or even adult can easily be swept from the boat on those bow riders. Then with some whirling there, possibly undercurrent, you can fish up a dead body somewhere around there, bc you are not going to be able to save them.

There not 'Skippers' there yahoos that's the problem.
Looks like a wonderful place to visit full of happy people.
The EXACT same thing happened to me at the bay at Ocean City Maryland while trying to pass under the bridge. A group of jet skiers created large wakes that engulfed the boat from the front, where i was. It pushed the boat under the water and I bolted for the back of the boat.( Im watching these videos and wondering why the people stayed at the front? )
Luckily the coastguard was right there and saw the whole thing. They threw a rope or something to us and yelled "Send the little one to the front of the boat!" That was me . An adult striving to be 5 feet tall. Once we were connected they slowly pulled us to a safe location where they could let her rip and it forced the water out of our boat. That part was awesome.
I just want to say, in the moment that it happened, I SAW the wave that was going to crash over our boat, and my brain kicked in to warp speed. I made it to the back of the boat before the wave that submerged our boat even hit us. The weird thing I remember about it is how my brain had every step for survival worked out in an instant. I knew where the life jacket was. I knew which direction to swim that was closer to our location, and I was cool as a cucumber. I still think back on that event and marvel at it.
It's wild watching natural selection at work.
I believe information is key in any situation and denial of rules makes you a target by choice for unfortunate tragedy. Btw, everyone appears to be professional swimmers due to the absence of life jacket and guessing the baby knows how to swim. Thanks for sharing.
Used to boat on inland Texas lakes. When the wind and waves came up we always put on PFD's and minimized weight in the bow. We also used the outdrive trim to force the bow a little higher. I don't think I have seen trim used in the canal videos.
Yeah... All of these "captains" in this video be like: "What's a trim?"
I know, right? Is it because they only boat a few months of the year? All the nautical knowledge gets frozen and shattered during the winter months?
That’s because they never learned even the basics of handling a boat and really shouldn’t be allowed the responsibility of being a Captain. I’m sure they have no idea that, as Captain, they are personally responsible for the safety of every soul onboard their boat.
@@maryannewhite3620 You're NEVER going to be a top-earning Boat Salesperson with that negative attitude!... lol... in ah-MER'ca, EVERYone gets a boat!... and a chicken in every pot... it's called "Democracy"! 😁

10:12 you can tell that dude knows how to drive a boat. Handled it like a boss.
Probably the best one of the video. They also gave a shit about thr kids. You could see the mom telling them to move and they had lifejackets on. Thry took the situation seriously .
Is that canal ever not a mess? I sail on Great Bay and was tempted to bring my sailboat up that way, but I was wondering if my 10hp kicker was enough to go north through the canal?
All the boat captains know that the area is always rough, YET they have people in the bow, and without vests. HUGE problems, especially for kids.
That first boat captain needs to face criminal charges to put children’s lives at risk like that!!!! As a father that would go to any lengths to protect my children, it is absolutely disgusting and beyond comprehension that he could so carelessly put small children is such a life threatening situation!!!
THIS! The exact thing I was searching the comments for, I was horrified to see those babies go and STAY under water,, horrified! Shame on those adults that allowed that to happen.. smh

Wow some of those got my heart racing
So cute how some of these boats have pools (hot tubs?) up front...
I grew up traversing that canal. Back before they replaced the 88 bridge it was far worse. On a good day there was rapids after the bridge due to a steep dropoff on the ocean side of the bridge caused by a spill of concrete. You never heard ppl screaming at each other. Everyone went slow and respected others. How things have changed.
Get in touch with me in respect of the above number for a reward conversation ok
Ehh, my grandpa remembers that canal being a shitshow back in the 60's. It's never been tame.
...move bitch, get out tha way bitch, get out tha way...
The bridge may have been replaced but that ledge and deep hole are still there. That boat didn't leave a standing wave, the current dropping off that shelf then coming back up makes it. And they need to just ban pontoon boats in there, they cannot handle a 1 foot chop on the bay... And I feel bad for the tug style boat but the moment Karen-shouldntwearabikini started bitching I enjoyed it. The wife of some credit card captain is gonna tell me how to run the canal GFY lady. I've got 6 knots of current and a boat with an ass bigger than hers, tooty the tug and Mrs CCCaptain may be able to maintain steerage but the sport boat is gonna see his stern pass him on 2 whistles if he tries to hold up behind them. People need to learn that the canal is like the parkway, you have to go or gtfo of the way...
Unfortunately we’ve circumvented natural selection. People like this now roam amongst us!
I've lived on a sizeable lake my entire life and have been around, and have owned, boats as well, and what I see is: Nearly all these boats are going way too fast for the swells. All these swamping issues are totally avoidable. Even in a bow rider, if you idle along the "submarining" effect will diminish greatly, and noting the water conditions, there shouldn't be anyone riding in the bow. Nearly everyone does not have a life preserver on, most importantly, the kids. Then you have the probability of alcohol and what not thrown into the mix. There's more, but it's just my observations. I'm not an expert and I've broken some of these rules myself over the years. Being on the water anywhere is fun, but a huge responsibility as it can be very unforgiving.
Immigrant types
Should of trimmed to help lift the bow
But then if they go slow the turbulence will throw them around
Why are the waves so big it don't look very windy
Beautifully put David!!! I was worried sick watching the mom holding baby.....lastly, cannot believe the lack of life preservers like you noted as well!!!
I didn't know what was going on, but then when I saw that this was from New Jersey, it all made sense to me.
How ANYONE COULD GO OUT IN SWELLS LIKE THIS WITH A OVERLOADED BOWRIDER...AMAZING 😢
This is a canal that joins the Manasquan River with the Northern End of Barnegate Bay. When the tide is going out the canal sucks all the water out of the bay to the River causing a VERY STRONG CURRENT. To get back into the bay on an out. Going tide you are facing at least a 20knot current, resulting I. The need for higher speeds, but no enough to endanger other boats. Back in The day we used to go one at a time, like driving in your own lane on the road. Today everyone is in such a rush and they don’t think about the damage their boats do.
The dealership needs to show this video to everyone buying a boat.
a dealership can in no way help people that are this STUPID
I remember when I was little in the early 80's telling my dad somebody has to tell candid camera to film at the boat docks after seeing people fall in, bash the pier, yell and scream , can't back up a trailer ,blow their tail lights by forgetting to unplug them 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This looks like the wild, wild, west on the waterways. This is crazy
I liked them all. It's exciting there. The boat that had to be rescued by the state police was the best. Pam dumping her drink out the back and Chad throwing the cooler overboard.
Anyone notice the lady dumping her beer in front of police 😂
Such a nice day on the water.
The amount of people who don't understand weight distribution is staggering
Maybe trim the outboard up? Plus what you said
@@stevenkimber4735 I think in this case you wouldn't want to go too far up, otherwise when you crest a wave the prop might come out of the water. But 6 people riding in the front of a bow rider is effectively adding about 1000lbs to the front half of the boat, if that 1000lbs were closer to the rear of the boat it wouldn't plow waves nearly as bad, if not at all
@@edwardranno7119 a pontoon boat wouldn't make it through this, they're not designed for rough chop it would nose dive the second wake
@@notexpatjoe I only said closer to the stern I didn't say have everyone sit on the stern
My Uncle lived at the edge of this Canal, just across from the State Police Marina. Watching the Boats struggle as they came and went was entertaining, but many were obviously in danger. Although this is a long way from Atlantic Ocean Access, it is narrow and subject to Wakes and Tides which is often too much for the Smaller Boats that are designed for Bays.
I’m surprised the sharks don’t hang out here. Lots of bait it seems.
Do folks traverse that channel by choice or for entertainment value? Do they have to go up that channel to get to the ocean and back again?
@@JaRule6 It is the only reasonably close outlet to the Ocean in that area. Many Boaters have limited skills and should not attempt this Channel. Another Dock might be a better option, but the Ocean is probably not for those who can't safely navigate the Channel.
@@williampagdon4822 Thanks for letting me know. I agree with you completely.
the genius of reverse sheer boats.
So boating in NI is the same as driving in NJ, got it 👍🏼
Luckily pontoon Boats are very agile and dynamic and made For rough seas
They sure have good brakes.
I believe they were used at D Day
bad decisions, bathtub boats, no lifejackets, anger and yelling .. ah such a peaceful and wonderful day on the water /smh
Even lake craft. I work summers at lakes in Virginia; drunk, speeding, pwcs racing through the swimming areas, boats anchoring in swimming areas, boat rage. Just - knuckle-headedry and hockey puckery.
Well at least it drowns out the shitty music that these boaters usually insist everyone else needs to listen to.
