    So helpful! I am on my 4th baby, but have never pumped. I've watched several different videos and the question I kept having was "ok I get how to thaw, but how do I use milk from the fridge?" you are the only one that answered that in your video. Thank you so much!❤

    Hi Vidya..All your videos are just excellent. My baby girl is just one month old. Delivery was by c section. Everybody around me like my mother, grandma,sisters discouraged me saying ur milk will not be enough for your baby. Start giving formule milk or cow milk. But I dint give up. I have seen almost all ur videos. One of those was tips to increase breast milk supply. I was so motivated. U used a sentence,' trust ur body' which boosted me. I am giving only breast milk to my baby till today .Thanks a lot for such a encouraging video. Am so grateful to you as ur words motivated me at rit time😃 thanks a lot vidya!!!

      My son nowadays takes one and half hour and sometimes more while breastfeeding in night. How can I handle this and reduce the timing..

    Hi Vidya, have a couple of questions:
    1) when did you introduce feeding bottles (with nipple) to your son? My son is 2 months old and occasionally when i feed him formula/expressed milk, i use a bottle with an attached spoon.
    2) i would like to see what containers were you using to store the milk in the refrigerator/freezer to keep separate from the other items?
    3) how would you keep sterilized equipment when not in use? Feeding bottles, pump, storage bottles?
    4) currently I'm breastfeeding directly more often than bottle, how do i gauge the quantity so that i can plan to start storing accordingly?
    Look forward to your reply.

I recommend your channel to every pregnant ladies and new moms in my circle.. Regarding pumping, I tried giving pumped milk to my baby a month before joining work.. Since then my baby is reluctant in taking breastfeed.. He prefers to take bottle feed instead.. Got to know from paediatrician that some babies stop breastfeeding after starting bottle feed. So is there any solution other than bottle feed to give expressed milk to my baby while I am away at work?

      Once the milk is at room temperature, it is better to use it up within a few hours, and not refrigerate it again. You could thaw it slowly in the refrigerator if you're not sure if you'll use it all up. I kept a couple bags thawing in the fridge.

    I've done everything but my boobs just don't pump well. When I manually pump, it does. I'm using Medela electric pump and it's supposed to be the best. But I can feed him directly. Just wish I could store so I don't have to be with him all the time. Mommy needs rest too ⌚😭

      Have you tried different size breast shields? I remember having to try 2 before I found the right fit.

      Don't worry. Keep massaging your breast twice a day. After delivery it would be taken care. If you. Even I used to worry for there was no sign of milk even close to my due date. But after delivery I started milking. And the milk flow was pretty much on the heavier side

      It is totally normal for the milk to come in a few days after birth. In fact that's how it is for most first time moms. Don't worry.

    Thank you Vidya for this video.Please clarify my doubt. Can you please tell how old the baby should be to feed on stored breast milk? My baby is a month old n I want to get him use to stored breast milk also.

    • @Feelgoodmama
      @Feelgoodmama  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can start as early as you like, but if you want to both nurse and bottle feed, then I'd suggest introducing bottle only after baby is latching well, so that there is no confusion. I'm not a professional though ;)
