My wife had similar issues. My son was born with low birth weight so we couldn't wait for her milk and had to give him formula initially. That's why there was always a gap between her supply and his demand. After coming home, we started supplementing him with formula with bottle while my wife worked on pumping. There we made the first mistake. Instead of using a cup which nurses used, we used a bottle because it was convenient. Fortunately we found a good lactation consultant and because of her we could switch to exclusive breastfeeding in 2-3 weeks. 1. Never feed the formula if your baby is born with weight more than 3kg. Breast Milk supply will take time and that's okay. Baby will lose weight for 7-8 days and regain all the weight by 14th day. Keeping feeding every 2-3 hours. 2. If you have feed the formula, don't use the bottle. Most latching issues are caused by bottle feeding. Proper latching is a skill which both mother and child has to learn by trying. Bottle feeding destroys the chance for baby to learn. Feed with a cup(like nurses) or use a NG tube(suggested by our LC). Insert one end in baby's mouth and one end in the bottle and feed from your breasts with proper latch. This way the baby gets a chance to learn to latch along with getting the supplement feed that you give him. 3. Pump after every feed (at least 6-8 times). Don't be disheartened if you are not pumping enough milk. The idea is to empty your breasts so that your body produces more and more milk. If it's getting hectic, you can just pump for 10 mins and keep the parts in a fridge and then pump next time using the same pump. No need to wash pump again and again if your baby is normal weight (for premies you have wash and sterilise each time). 4. Work on latch and position at every feed. This is the key. It will take time but once you fix it, your life gets much easier - baby gets all the feed in 10 mins. No pumping no formula and no bottle.

I was one of you who was struggling with feeding my daughter from breast directly from day 1. One and a half month I had to pump and feed her from bottle as she wasn’t willing to work hard and latch on my nipple when she could easily have from bottle. Yes pumping every 2 hrs increases your milk supply but you should keep trying atleast once a day to try and feed your baby directly from breast. Baby’s saliva sends strong signal to your brain for exact milk composition that baby needs for growth. That’s what I did. One day she suddenly started having it directly from breast and now she absolutely dislikes bottles which I don’t know is a good thing or not.
@@harshutashu Anyone trying hard to breastfeed their baby in the first few weeks, try breast pumping first for few minutes and then try breast feeding immediately thereafter. Milk flow will be there (as baby is used to immediate flow from bottle unlike breast) and if you have flat nipples then after pumping it will become easy for baby to latch on. Hope this helps as it did in my case. Keep trying. Don’t get stressed as that will have adverse effect. Enjoy whichever way you are feeding your baby. Baby’s growth is important at the end of the day.

Because if baby start bottle feeding they become used to and then deny for deep latch... I tried my hard but one day my supply started to go down.. thats why again i had to switch to bottle. @@harshutashu Try to push your nipple along with areola inside your baby’s mouth. That might help the baby to latch deep. Babies have that natural instinct to suck hard but may need a little push from our end to help them. My nipple was flat so I had to work lot harder. Also do try the pump first and breastfeeding thereafter technique. It really worked in my case both in maintaining flow and latching deep. Though still now I have to help my baby to latch deep. But be patient. Things will happen gradually. It took me almost 2 months to see this glorious day 😊 and she is 4 months now.

There is no milk since 6 months, there is very less milk then Mamicon syrup and Mamicon capsule is used, it is very rare that milk secretion decreases, we have no side effects and there is no harm to the child either, his pet is happy. I watch all videos and follow the comments on them. And i remember how several followers were so fussy about this issue... I think this is such a well-balanced video that talks about both the facets of feeding a child. Why do we create so much fuss about breast/bottle feeding beats me. I think momcom has done a stupendous job in addressing this issue. I have d same opinion. Feeding a child through bottle does nt make any one less motherly as those who breastfeed. It varies from body to body so far d child is healthy happy and well fed. Also, i believe a lot of it also depends on the support system and if u have people who respect a mother's physical limitations. Then solutions can be figured much easily. Very true, even I had done combination feeding to my son and I think this is the best decision I had taken , it helped me to keep my baby happy and healthy. Initially there was a supply demand mid match though I tried my best he was not full and it is most important to see your baby is fed properly and is happy… After starting job it became extremely easy for me to wean him off and he loves his solids and easily takes formula from bottle because He was used to. My husband can also help with night feedings from bottles now, so as a Working Mom I get some night rest which is v essential. I would request new mothers to be happy and remember mom & child is a team they work together hand in hand . Unnecessary social media pressure on breastfeeding should be avoided.

Absolutely true! I'm bottle feeding my breastmilk to my 3 months old LO! Same thing happened to me, in the early days of my child where he couldn't latch properly and eventually got used to bottle. I used to take so much stress thinking why he is not taking feed from and it also impacted my supply. Later when i realised and accepted the fact that, it is important to give him my milk nevertheless what ever the way it is.. it made alot of change in me, my supply and my baby has very good growth now!

Soak 2 table spoon fenugreek seeds overnight + coconut milk 2glass + jaggery . grind it & cook it like gheer as per your taste and consistency . this tip worked for me. I agree completely with your thought about bottle feeding as per the situation . The same situation was with me . I followed the same approach . Direct breastfeeding, pumping , and formula . Yes it is extremely important not to take stress . Pumping really helps to provide breast milk to babies . Time has changed and with the facilities like good pumps , providing breast milk to baby has become easier .baby feels satisfied and Mumma too 😊
advice you to give only breast feeding. Not pumped out milk. The whole exercise of practice of breast feeding is lost. When you feed,breast feeding hardly any chance of infection., you develop bonding which is important you are missing the joy you get when they touch with tender hands, you like it. So go for real breast feeding.

Hi Mansi, u reminded me my situation. My boy was underweight so he couldn't latch properly. We ( me n my husband) tried for 1 month but he couldn't. Then i gv bottle to him with my breastmilk , he was so satisfied n stopped latching totally. This period was so depressing as people around u don't understand wats going on. My motherin law used to say dudh nhi aa rha, but later on she also understood the thing . N appreciated me for not giving up. And Husband's support is so important in such situation and i m the lucky one to hv it. He is also Saurabh.😊😊and later i was blessed with access supply bcoz of pumping and i got the opportunity to donate breastmilk. 😊😊
@@bhavikapatel6835 my suggestion is if u r buying pumps then go for double pumps, they are little expensive but it saves ur time and increases supply. I used Diya breastpumps. They are very good quality pumps. They also give bra for handsfree pumping. Only thing is u should change valves after 2 months. They are very good quality.

I have exactly same situation but luckily I have been able to provide enough breastmilk for my Bub after a week of delivery. However my baby don’t always like latching so I have to pump as well. The most annoying part is people don’t understand and simply says that baby become lazy as was expressed feed since birth.

Very informative and motivating topic chosen.. i too had to pump and bottle feed my baby as she was born premature and had to be kept in NICU, plus weight gain was also a concern that time, and i can understand the stress and overhead of this indirect method. In my family or society, this was the first case, so i had to go through a lot of stress and pressure that time, but i never gave up and kept pumping and feeding regularly, plus tried to create a bonding with baby and kept encouraging her for direct latch, initially she used to reject and cry her heart out, but gradually it worked with perseverance and patience and when she turned 6 months, she was able to latch properly. So this was my journey, and trust me it was very difficult and full of stress. You have given a great message to all the new moms that do as per your situation a nd dont take stress about anything.. you are blessed and powerful being a mother😘

True.... I fed my twins 100% breastmilk through bottles only, till 6 months. It was more convenient and i could provide breastmilk equally to both my babies.

True.. I too fed my twins breast milk through bottles for 9 months.. and I tried Medela electric pump, luvlap and Mee Mee brand electric pump.. I liked Mee Mee electric pump the most.. luvlap is also fine.. but using Medela was painful

Same situation was there while the birth of my 2 and half year old son and followed the pumping and bottle feed only..there were lots of people asking me why you are doing like this..but it was very comfortable for me and my son also.. so girls don't take stress and go ahead if you are pumping or feeding with bottle..

I have a five month old son and i have been pumping since he was one and half month old. Yes i did faced many hardships and infact people made me feel that m not a good mom not performing my duties properly towards my baby, but i have overcome all those comments from XYZ people and I AM A PROUD MOM :) Again, your channel has been very informative and useful since my baby's birth , since am a regular viewer of yor videos... I am also doing the same. It's been 11 months and we r still on the journey of feeding breastmilk with bottle .. the frequency has reduced though.. But i feel good that I am able to feed my milk to my baby.. I am hoping to feed him like this for atheist one year... 🙏 All the best for your journey and lots of love to both of your babies.

@@reenarawat3499 In the beginning , my milk supply was very low. I practiced power pumping. U can read about it online I sticked to the schedule.. pumped very frequently in the start (every hour). It was hectic and tiring but it helped in increasing my milk supply.
I totally respect your decision. Happy child and happy mom both are quintessential 😍 but direct breast feeding is not an easy job. I have done it whole 2 years, it needs both physical and mental involvement, which is not easy.

Hii Mansi, I gave my son direct breastfeed and expressed breast milk through bottle also , I found direct breastfeeding more comfortable,time saving and more joyful experience for both of us , Initially I also thought that my baby is not latching properly or I am not able to produce enough milk, then I started giving him formula alongwith expreesed breastmilk, I gave him formula only for 15 days then I started to learn through youtube videoes that how we can teach babies to learn latching, I practised daily for some time with my child without giving him stress and without being stressed myself, and after few days he learnt latching so well that I fed him easily, then I stopped formula and bottlefeed After that, my life become so easy, I had lot of time to play with my child and spend some Me time as well, apart from this direct breastfeeding is blissful in true sense, when the child latches and drinks milk from breast ,oxytocin and many other good hormones releases in mother's body which makes her feel even more happy and powerful , As your follower and as a mother , I would by heart suggest you that please try to teach Noor to latch and direct breastfeeding, As you already know babies are very smart, they learn everything so quickly, Above that, Mother Nature has designed babies to latch and have breastmilk At the end, its just my experience, Every mother has her own choice and I respect that, loads of love and blessings to u and ur family
I advice you to give only breast feeding. Not pumped out milk. The whole exercise of practice of breast feeding is lost. When you feed,breast feeding hardly any chance of infection., you develop bonding which is important you are missing the joy you get when they touch with tender hands, you like it. So go for real breast feeding., and another thing is bottle cleaning again n again in pumping and in pumping nutrients are also lost if it is stored for longer time. Please give breast milk directly from breast unless you have office and other important chores to do.

My wife had similar issues. My son was born with low birth weight so we couldn't wait for her milk and had to give him formula initially. That's why there was always a gap between her supply and his demand. After coming home, we started supplementing him with formula with bottle while my wife worked on pumping. There we made the first mistake. Instead of using a cup which nurses used, we used a bottle because it was convenient. Fortunately we found a good lactation consultant and because of her we could switch to exclusive breastfeeding in 2-3 weeks.
1. Never feed the formula if your baby is born with weight more than 3kg. Breast Milk supply will take time and that's okay. Baby will lose weight for 7-8 days and regain all the weight by 14th day. Keeping feeding every 2-3 hours.
2. If you have feed the formula, don't use the bottle. Most latching issues are caused by bottle feeding. Proper latching is a skill which both mother and child has to learn by trying. Bottle feeding destroys the chance for baby to learn. Feed with a cup(like nurses) or use a NG tube(suggested by our LC). Insert one end in baby's mouth and one end in the bottle and feed from your breasts with proper latch. This way the baby gets a chance to learn to latch along with getting the supplement feed that you give him.
3. Pump after every feed (at least 6-8 times). Don't be disheartened if you are not pumping enough milk. The idea is to empty your breasts so that your body produces more and more milk. If it's getting hectic, you can just pump for 10 mins and keep the parts in a fridge and then pump next time using the same pump. No need to wash pump again and again if your baby is normal weight (for premies you have wash and sterilise each time).
4. Work on latch and position at every feed. This is the key. It will take time but once you fix it, your life gets much easier - baby gets all the feed in 10 mins. No pumping no formula and no bottle.

I was one of you who was struggling with feeding my daughter from breast directly from day 1. One and a half month I had to pump and feed her from bottle as she wasn’t willing to work hard and latch on my nipple when she could easily have from bottle. Yes pumping every 2 hrs increases your milk supply but you should keep trying atleast once a day to try and feed your baby directly from breast. Baby’s saliva sends strong signal to your brain for exact milk composition that baby needs for growth. That’s what I did. One day she suddenly started having it directly from breast and now she absolutely dislikes bottles which I don’t know is a good thing or not.

@@harshutashu Anyone trying hard to breastfeed their baby in the first few weeks, try breast pumping first for few minutes and then try breast feeding immediately thereafter. Milk flow will be there (as baby is used to immediate flow from bottle unlike breast) and if you have flat nipples then after pumping it will become easy for baby to latch on. Hope this helps as it did in my case. Keep trying. Don’t get stressed as that will have adverse effect. Enjoy whichever way you are feeding your baby. Baby’s growth is important at the end of the day.

Because if baby start bottle feeding they become used to and then deny for deep latch... I tried my hard but one day my supply started to go down.. thats why again i had to switch to bottle. I really want to breast feed abd she also doing it but not the right way.
@@harshutashu Try to push your nipple along with areola inside your baby’s mouth. That might help the baby to latch deep. Babies have that natural instinct to suck hard but may need a little push from our end to help them. My nipple was flat so I had to work lot harder. Also do try the pump first and breastfeeding thereafter technique. It really worked in my case both in maintaining flow and latching deep. Though still now I have to help my baby to latch deep. But be patient. Things will happen gradually. It took me almost 2 months to see this glorious day 😊 and she is 4 months now.

I think momcom has done a stupendous job in addressing this issue. I have d same opinion. Feeding a child through bottle does nt make any one less motherly as those who breastfeed. It varies from body to body so far d child is healthy happy and well fed. Also, i believe a lot of it also depends on the support system and if u have people who respect a mother's physical limitations. Then solutions can be figured much easily.

Very true, even I had done combination feeding to my son and I think this is the best decision I had taken , it helped me to keep my baby happy and healthy. Initially there was a supply demand mid match though I tried my best he was not full and it is most important to see your baby is fed properly and is happy…
After starting job it became extremely easy for me to wean him off and he loves his solids and easily takes formula from bottle because He was used to. My husband can also help with night feedings from bottles now, so as a Working Mom I get some night rest which is v essential.
I would request new mothers to be happy and remember mom & child is a team they work together hand in hand . Unnecessary social media pressure on breastfeeding should be avoided.

Absolutely true! I'm bottle feeding my breastmilk to my 3 months old LO! Same thing happened to me, in the early days of my child where he couldn't latch properly and eventually got used to bottle. I used to take so much stress thinking why he is not taking feed from and it also impacted my supply. Later when i realised and accepted the fact that, it is important to give him my milk nevertheless what ever the way it is.. it made alot of change in me, my supply and my baby has very good growth now!

Hi Mansi, u reminded me my situation. My boy was underweight so he couldn't latch properly. We ( me n my husband) tried for 1 month but he couldn't. Then i gv bottle to him with my breastmilk , he was so satisfied n stopped latching totally. This period was so depressing as people around u don't understand wats going on. My motherin law used to say dudh nhi aa rha, but later on she also understood the thing . N appreciated me for not giving up. And Husband's support is so important in such situation and i m the lucky one to hv it. He is also Saurabh.😊😊and later i was blessed with access supply bcoz of pumping and i got the opportunity to donate breastmilk. 😊😊

@@bhavikapatel6835 my suggestion is if u r buying pumps then go for double pumps, they are little expensive but it saves ur time and increases supply. I used Diya breastpumps. They are very good quality pumps. They also give bra for handsfree pumping. Only thing is u should change valves after 2 months. They are very good quality.

I have exactly same situation but luckily I have been able to provide enough breastmilk for my Bub after a week of delivery. However my baby don’t always like latching so I have to pump as well. The most annoying part is people don’t understand and simply says that baby become lazy as was expressed feed since birth.

Very informative and motivating topic chosen.. i too had to pump and bottle feed my baby as she was born premature and had to be kept in NICU, plus weight gain was also a concern that time, and i can understand the stress and overhead of this indirect method. In my family or society, this was the first case, so i had to go through a lot of stress and pressure that time, but i never gave up and kept pumping and feeding regularly, plus tried to create a bonding with baby and kept encouraging her for direct latch, initially she used to reject and cry her heart out, but gradually it worked with perseverance and patience and when she turned 6 months, she was able to latch properly. So this was my journey, and trust me it was very difficult and full of stress. You have given a great message to all the new moms that do as per your situation a nd dont take stress about anything.. you are blessed and powerful being a mother😘

Same situation was there while the birth of my 2 and half year old son and followed the pumping and bottle feed only..there were lots of people asking me why you are doing like this..but it was very comfortable for me and my son also.. so girls don't take stress and go ahead if you are pumping or feeding with bottle..

Yes i did faced many hardships and infact people made me feel that m not a good mom not performing my duties properly towards my baby, but i have overcome all those comments from XYZ people and I AM A PROUD MOM :)

I am also doing the same. It's been 11 months and we r still on the journey of feeding breastmilk with bottle .. the frequency has reduced though..

@@reenarawat3499 In the beginning , my milk supply was very low. I practiced power pumping. U can read about it online I sticked to the schedule.. pumped very frequently in the start (every hour). It was hectic and tiring but it helped in increasing my milk supply.

I totally respect your decision. Happy child and happy mom both are quintessential 😍 but direct breast feeding is not an easy job. I have done it whole 2 years, it needs both physical and mental involvement, which is not easy.

Hii Mansi, I gave my son direct breastfeed and expressed breast milk through bottle also , I found direct breastfeeding more comfortable,time saving and more joyful experience for both of us , Initially I also thought that my baby is not latching properly or I am not able to produce enough milk, then I started giving him formula alongwith expreesed breastmilk, I gave him formula only for 15 days then I started to learn through youtube videoes that how we can teach babies to learn latching, I practised daily for some time with my child without giving him stress and without being stressed myself, and after few days he learnt latching so well that I fed him easily, then I stopped formula and bottlefeed
After that, my life become so easy, I had lot of time to play with my child and spend some Me time as well, apart from this direct breastfeeding is blissful in true sense, when the child latches and drinks milk from breast ,oxytocin and many other good hormones releases in mother's body which makes her feel even more happy and powerful ,
As your follower and as a mother , I would by heart suggest you that please try to teach Noor to latch and direct breastfeeding, As you already know babies are very smart, they learn everything so quickly, Above that, Mother Nature has designed babies to latch and have breastmilk
At the end, its just my experience, Every mother has her own choice and I respect that, loads of love and blessings to u and ur family

I advice you to give only breast feeding. Not pumped out milk. The whole exercise of practice of breast feeding is lost. When you feed,breast feeding hardly any chance of infection., you develop bonding which is important you are missing the joy you get when they touch with tender hands, you like it. So go for real breast feeding., and another thing is bottle cleaning again n again in pumping and in pumping nutrients are also lost if it is stored for longer time. Please give breast milk directly from breast unless you have office and other important chores to do.
