When these guys meet their fans - it is like they only see you. They take the time to hear your stories and then they tell you theirs. They make you feel special and for an evening your forget your problems and make a memory you will never forget. We so appreciate them. If they ever needed us for any reason - their fans would be there for them. Just like they are always there for us. I have never seen them be rude or act superior. They get it - they are spreading the love. Thank You!
Hey , I am so proud you two have come to your own because everyone wanted to be like Rick Nelson ❤️ Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with me today
Great interview. I grew up watching your Dad grow up and I'm sure he would be proud of the men you've become. You're the same age as my boys and I would be so proud. Never change.
Great interview! These two guys aren't only talented, they are incredible men who are always so inspiring. Looking forward to seeing them in October in CA.
I love Nelson! I'm going through cancer treatment now and I sure love being moved by these very special men. They are a gift to this country just like their grandparents and parents. Thank you so much Gunnar and Matt!!
Love this this one definitely hits my heart as he talks about his friend with cancer my son is four years in remission so I certainly understand it’s like you lose yourself especially as a parent I lost a whole year worrying about him going through chemo but I knew it was the right decision and like I said thank God he’s four years in remission so thank you Gunnar for sharing that personal story You and Matt are true rock stars 30 years are running of being a fan . Love the cd as well With the greatest hits near misses
I came across an interview Jordan the Lion did with Gunnar and have been binging Nelson interviews. Do these guys ever give a bad or boring interview? They have so much knowledge, history and stories to share. OMG, the story of that little girl. So glad to hear they are working on books!
Yeah, I am also very glad to hear they are working on autobiographies and a biography including their Dad and Grandparents. Very surprising there isn't already lots of books about their family like there is for Elvis.
Thank you for this sharing of real-life challenges and inspiration from Matthew and Gunnar. They became famous at a time toward the end of the 80s start of the 90s where alot of people had big egos in the entertainment industry, so I am not surprised about guys at MTV not wanting to play their After the Rain video which actually has alot of symbolism in relation to the Native American, the feather, the astral plane dream world and vision quest. Even though the first part of the video is difficult to watch, it puts into context how the teen boy is feeling and gives a snapshot of what his life is like. He gets a glimpse of how his life could be better. However I see alot more deeper meaning to the song and video with the Native American showing his war paint, he was going to fight the dark entities that were causing his father to treat his son badly. The Nelson twins are the teen boy's Guardian Angels (spiritual mentors) showing him the way to make his life better. He finds the feather at the end as a reminder it wasn't just a dream. That entire video is very beautifully done, from the visual images to the pacing of the music telling the story. Even a bit of fantasy with the teen boy falling down through the vortex. That video should get an Emmy or a Grammy or whatever highest level of video production there is nowadays. Gunnar is totally right that they were considered "anti" to the darker agenda which was to steer the young people into listening to depressing aggro music and not happy upbeat inspiring music. This world does need upbeat, inspiring music. It's actually healthy for our brains to listen to higher vibe music. It is not healthy to listen to low vibe music. I grew up in the 80s and found the 90s really a big downer. It was not a happy decade at all. It was interesting, but not a decade I would want to relive. I much prefer the sunnier side of life, and I am very happy the Nelson guys were so determined to stay true to their style of music.
I somehow missed this episode when it was first uploaded, only for it to find me today, when I really needed it. The part about Ozzie and “the connections business” and how your passion might not always be your purpose (but might only be a part of it, or a stepping-stone along the way) really spoke to me. For a while now, I thought my purpose might have something to do with advocacy, but I had no idea whom I was meant to advocate for or how to do it. I mean, I’m a fiction writer at heart, and while fiction can definitely have a positive impact, I felt like maybe there was a more direct route I was meant to find. Fast forward to about two months ago, and I find myself finally conceding that, Yes, everything really has been pushing me toward an advocacy project that both thrills and terrifies me - a video podcast. I hate the way I look, and I’m not crazy about the way my voice sounds, but video is the medium of the moment, the best way to reach people - to connect. So a couple of friends and I started making plans. We’ve run into some stumbling blocks, and I was beginning to have doubts, but then things started popping up again to remind me that this is the path I’m meant to be on (including finding this podcast today!) So thank you. To all three of you. For this, and for all the moments of inspiration, for all the times your music has kept me company in the light and in the dark. Thank you for showing up, and continuing to show up, for being genuine and vulnerable and compassionate and just all-around good people. Love to you all.
So excited to see this! I just rediscovered them recently..best hair...best music! I've seen a couple of their shows over the years...they just seem like such good guys!!

Your life is important! Every person's life is important. I do believe that too. No one should feel their life is not important.

They have something in common with Julian Lennon.
When do we get 1st born Sons ?
It should be dropping soon. First single anyway.
No idea how these guys are so "real", and intelligent/busy savy. Seems like the brothers are good people..even though I dont dig their music.
