Can you tell me the measurements and how much this boat weighs? I have a 12' sundolphin in the water but when lake goes down I need something I can drag to the water alone.
if you keep it all stock it's actually really light. With all that wood I put on it is really heavy. I just actually customized it again and took out a lot of the wood
I have had a crawdad for years. Super stable and amazing boat. However the deck you added will make it very unstable and add extra weight. Just food for thought. I agree with the other comment, lose the deck bro, swivel seats and your vessel will be lake worthy.
I agree with you. I've fished from one since before they came with cup holders and The floor makes a great spot to fish from. That deck couldn't be raising him more the 8 or 9 inches and it ruins the stability.
Yes. I have fished at or beyond the weight limit and never had problems . Strong paddles/ push pull and you can go anywhere. Way more stable when standing inside.
You ruined the boat by putting the deck on it and changing the center of gravity. I’ve owned over 6 of these over the last 20 yrs. I’m 6’3” and 250lbs and I stand and fish in mine all day with other guys my size. I’ve fished in big lakes and rivers with zero issues. Lose the deck and you’ll see a huge difference
Yeah I totally understand that I've been in them without it and know how stable they can be. I was just speaking on mine with how I've built it. The only reason I put the deck on was so I'm above everything when using the fly rod, it will just make casting easier. Other than that I love the boat!
This should work fine. Looking for one to use in Ozello, FL
How would you compare it to like a bass raider or pond prowler?
I'm not too familiar with either of those but I would highly recommend a crawdad to anyone. Just keep it original
Put a 6.5 SPS longtail on there. ..then you'll have something.

@@Kodysbackwoodsbasics Thank you! I like that it has the metal handles … my boat has none so no good way to tie anchors...
Anyone know of any new Crawdads?
That I do not
I just sit down in my Crawdad. Caught dozens of bass with my friend. Looking to get rid of it if anyone is in the SF Bay.
U sell it already?
Just wasn't designed for the deck.

Yeah I know the deck makes it unbalanced. It was just to be above for fly fishing on the river

There is someone near me selling one of these for $550. With a deck. Would you recommend it?
Yes they are very reliable and can float in inches of water. Just make sure it is in good shape
I got mine for $40. Had to jb-weld a cople small holes and tighten a bunch of screws on it..
@@justin76bmw that right there is a steal!
justin76bmw I just bought a John boat for 1000 with the custom deck that is super nice

Get rid of the deck. That was a huge mistake.
@timhudson1846 it was a big mistake. Sadly I sold it long ago. I'd like to get another one
