I was searching for a video that shows how to narrow my over size coat sleeves of my short jacket and there was nothing except loads of videos on how shorten sleeves. Then I found your video. Although its a mans coat, I'm sure I can use the same kind of alteration on my ladies jacket. Thank you so much
Hello, thank you very much for the details that are very helpful. I found the plate covering the bottom of the iron is very useful as well, could you please share the name of it, so I could find and buy it online? Many thanks。
It took me a few, but I suspect the writer is calling an alteration a cheat, (and is curious about the underarm seam). Nice video, btw! I needed a refresh on the suit sleeve alteration.
Most suits have a generous seam allowance so I think you could do that pretty easily. The only thing I would worry about is if there were any creases or discoloration of fabric when you let the seams out. You can get creases out of most fabrics but there are a few that are very stubborn. And I would imagine the issue with discoloration would depend on the type of fabric the suit is made of. Thank you for the video suggestion!

Would you help us to see what we can do to readjust the cheats from under the arm . Thankx
What do you mean by cheats from under the arm?

Thank you, unfortunately I don’t keep garments after I do my videos so I can’t do a follow up. 🤷🏼♀️
I want to get my wool peacoat slimmer from maybe elbow to wrist. Is this possible or a difficult job?
I’m going to say it’s fairly simple. I’ll see if my son still has his so I can take a look at the sleeve.
Would've liked to see the finished alteration. But thanks anyway.
Would there be anything to note if you want to make the men's jacket sleeve larger? How would that alterations be completed?

I was wondering how I could do this on a military-style jacket that from the bottom arm to the armpit, not on the top side but the bottom.
I really don’t know. I’d have to look at the construction. Sorry!
No worries, thank you anyway!
Exactly what presser foot are you using?
