I was so hoping to get DLC for Arceus with another area and more pokemon. My daughter and I prefer PLA over SV after initial play through. I recently dusted off our copy to grab a free mew and played around for 30 min or so and it feels such a step back from Legends.
Aw for real i agree. i wish arceus had a DLC. this game felt really special. and yes SV has died off recently so i hope for new announcements on the legends series
I kind of like the lack of DLC because it means you get the full experience from one purchase, and there’s nothing to miss out on if you don’t buy a dlc/second version.
Legends was such a huge step forward that pokemon took and it worked with how good the game looked. But the downside was that they updated it like a few times and that was it. They didn't really do much after the massive mass outbreaks which is saddening, so my one hope is that they at least do nore than just an outbreak update to the next legends game.
I doubt a mainline pokemon game would still getting major updates after the next game came out... And minor updates would just be bug fixes if they even bothered
Ive got a couple hundred hours on legends at least because i just loved it so much. The things i loved the most: 1. Being able to catch Pokémon quickly outside of battle and being able to sneak up on them. 2. The pokedex was so much fun to fill and the tasks gave me a reason to be excited about seeing, catching, and interacting with Pokémon multiple times as opposed to catch one and move one. Needing to feed them or use certain moves really gives the feeling of actually researching and getting to know a species. 3. Side quests. They added lore and where honestly fun. The side quest for post game legends were great also and i thought that was funner than being just gifted them. 4.The story was fun. Soundtrack was good. The performance was not as glitchy as S&V at all (although i really enjoy those games too). 5. This is silly but i actually didn't go inside the houses in legends at first because i assumed i couldn't but i could go into each house and there was named npcs will interesting dialog that sometimes changes depending on where you are in story. 6. You can complete the pokedex on your own. You can get trade evolutions by yourself. This is my personal feeling on it and i understand if others didnt like it as its different than mainline games. I do hope we get another legends in the future and dlc would have been nice.

I was actually upset when SV was revealed because I was really looking forward to DLC for Legends so they could expand on this ridiculously innovative game, especially with how many glaring (and I mean GLARING) issues it has. Legends Arceus is a perfect example of untapped potential, and I'm hoping they make another game in this style sometime in the future
If they decide to continue the Legends series (which they absolutely should), I hope it’s not another time travel game, where the ancient people need to be saved by someone from modern times. I want the character to be original to that time period!!
It would be exciting to see another Legends game as I really enjoyed Legends Arceus. I agree about multiplayer because we have the ability to trade with other people but there's no way to battle anyone aside NPCs. Yeah ive been sitting on the second nintendo voucher deciding whether i should pick up legends arceus or splatoon 3. Like i like action games and the setting in arceus but also long term i would probably get more out of splatoon.
Ngl this is the best pokemon game I ever played. I like sun & moon for how innovative and how they (finally) changed the mechanics and got rid of HM’s and made a new story. It let us be more than just a trainer. This game give that but on steroids. My gosh this game is fun. It falls flat on some things but tbh this brings me back to when games were just fun for their time and you had other games that were timeless. I promise nobody beat final fantasy 12 and said “mhhh let’s play it again” nah you went on a hiatus and played it after missing it for sometime. That’s Arceus. A 1 game.
Hopefully we start getting Legends Games alongside each remake. Once we get X and Y remakes a Legends Zygarde could be awesome! It could take place in an era similar to 1600-1700s France. Also Mart ur short :)
This game is definitely my favorite Pokemon game so far. I hope they do a new one in a similar style! Love the graphics, shiny hunting, customization, story, just everything.
Ive spent over 200 hours on the game and despite how expensive the game is, it brung me a lot of enjoyment and lasted long while. Would recommend. I also highly disagree with the comment that said there's not much to do after completing the Pokedex. I found that doing the side quest were so much fun. The more you did it added to the village making it seem more like you as the character is impacting the region. Its cool as you do the side quest to help people with your Pokemon and some staying to help like the farms and the construction corps, also there's sometimes little arguments that have to be resolved which I find enjoyable. Theres also The Difloon races and re playable bosses and trainers. Theres plenty of content outside the main story hence why I spent 200+ hours.
ay that’s nice i’m glad you enjoyed the game bc it was def a nice game. but yea the side quest i never did too much of them bc of the tedious aspect of it but i might complete them later on. and it is cool that it adds to the village :)
So I was thinking of a possible way to extend the game more and even let it have a way to be repayable and after a little while I came up with a good idea. Now for context I play a lot of Fire emblem games and one of my favorites was fire emblem three houses. That game was one where depending on choices the story would change with different endings based on the route you pick. For Legends if I was to improve it then certain decisions could have been made that would change the story more. The only real choice that was made available (Spoilers) was choosing to go with diamond or pearl clan which would change which of the legends you caught first. In all that is ok I guess but I feel that they could have more options that could make the ending different such as what would happen if you decided to go with neither like a third route and so forth. It would give players more of a chance to go back and see what else they could do and maybe a difficulty update could be added for those wanting the more wild options.
@@TKDPandaa For dlc they could of made it to where you might have a few extra map areas for post game. These areas could have outbreaks and mons that are not available before including mons from other games. Given that well there is distortions of mons all over the place they could of done it.
A few weeks in my Switch journey, and just finished the main story of Arceus (end credits), and now just beaten 1st gym of Scarlet. 2 different games, Arceus is better for me over all, and more exciting to play with the new catching mechanics. -Arceus is like CATCH EM ALL, with good story and good graphics -Scarlet is like standard Pokemon but with ok graphics. Once I finish the story of Scarlet, I am going back to Arceus and create a living dex, both norm and shiny, in it just like I used to in Emerald way back!
in more recent years i got a new understanding of what makes a good pokemon game. Arceus is the only 3d game i have been able to do a full second playthough without getting bored. I actually enjoyed it. edit: xy werent that great...
@@TKDPandaa combination of many thing. released unfinished. i always wanted a minigame to ride on pokemon. they set me up for disappointment with this in xy. they even had a rhyhorn racetrack. games too easy, team flare unoriginal and lame, bad story and postgame, etc
This game is what's keeping me away from getting ScarVio. I don't know, I'm not completely sold with that game. Although I bought Shield and Brilliant Diamond(for some unknown reason, I kinda enjoy this one).
I believe this game was helped by how bad performance wise SV was. I agree graphics needs an improvement. With very little trainer battles, the main draw is completing the pokedex which as you said is tedious. That can be helped by having the world be something pretty to look at. I also believe the music needed improvement since that got old very quickly. I'm spending hours researching on areas pokemon, let me hear a more varied soundtrack and see more varied assets please. Also, add more trainer battles. The way pokemon battles work in that game is interesting but barely used due to a small number of trainer battles. New pokemon seemed intentionally chosen. Every new pokemon looked good IMO. Obviously they weren't all winers from a competitive standpoint but that's fine because I emjoyed trying to beat the game with a hisuian only team. Overall, LA was a great proof of concept the Legend games can follow. Now let's see if LZA improves upon it, or falls into the same mistakes. Frankly, if some of my concerns aren't addressed I may skipping this next one.
I feel like this game would've been something that would of benefited from.. A live service feature. *THUNDER CRACKLING* I know, I know. Live service systems get a bad rep, but gradually seeing more pokemon added in and more content to explore would've been pretty cool.
Catching Pokemon and battling wild pokemon is fun. That's all i need. I just got a switch and picked up both PLA and Let's Go Eevee. Kets go was okay but too much like the mobile game I really hopea second Legends works on the graphics
The Big problem I havet with The game is that there is ni reason go explore (except catching pokemon) I wan't dungeons good sidequests not just explore to find pokemon, The sidequests are usualy just bring me INSERT POKEMON NAME HERE...
I’ve seen comments like this before and I never really understood them…until I played through BotW for the first time this year! I totally get it! Wouldn’t it have been awesome if each wisp was accompanied by some kind of puzzle like the koroks in Zelda? Also, what sorts of side quests would you have liked to see?
One thing pokemon Fans can not do...its building an objective opinion. 1. They would always compare EVERYTHING in a pokemon game with only other pokemon games...not with other games on the console at that time. 2. Nostalgia hinders them to think and they only feel...but those feelings arent real. 3. They ignore the fact that pokemon has the money and reccourses to make games that wouls blow everyones minds...they do...but in another way. I quit pokemon after sword and shield since I can still see that this companys shits on the customers...and I wont Support that. That being said...After seeing scarlet and violet ... arceus seems okay IN COMPARISON. Maybe I find a copy for 20 $ on eBay so that gamefreak does not get my money.

I have a question. I've been hesitant and I am broke as hell after I bought my switch 😭. I am thinking of buying a used copy, and not sure if the games has only one save file. Are you able to start fresh after buying a used copy? or is there multiple save files?
I still don’t have a switch 🥲 do I have enough money? Yes. Can I afford it? No. Anything that happens to me after spending most of my money on a Switch that I can’t financially handle is automatically my fault (the inability to financially handle it). I’m disabled so I have to be careful when I buy things I want and don’t actually need

I wish the main series games would include the frostbite status effect. Would be great if there was a way to nerf special attackers also😂

One small detail I liked better about Legends over SV is the skybox. The night sky looked amazing in Legends Arceus

i dont think the story for legends was good, but the ending was really cool with all the animated cutscenes

As far a Pokémon games go, you could do worse than buying this one... but you could still do better.

My opinion on this subject is if you want a Pokémon game that is not as hand holdy as the mainline games and provides a challenge, buy this game.

Yea you can, you just need to make other account on your switch and that’s free.
