Say it with me kids: If you refuse to treat a patient because of the way they identify and use your religion as a sorry excuse, you should not be a doctor.
It’s even worse when you think abt the fact they believe we’re going to hell. So, with us dying in front of them, they are actively making the decision to try and make us go to hell faster.
Rainbow Cat At least for Christianity and Judaism, it’s a matter of a mistranslation from Greek meaning the word pedophile became homosexual from my understanding and I believe that was Old Testament, so I think it may be the same for Islam there, but I’m much less knowledgeable about your religion specifically. That’s being said, I think it is a good test of if a sin was intended to be worded as it was to ask if it’s something you can choose not to do/be.

if a predator wants to assault someone, the law isn’t going to get in their way... sexual assault is already illegal (it needs to be taken more seriously, but that’s a whole different story entirely...)
@F.B.I They’re saying that trans people aren’t predators, and even if they were, they wouldn’t have to say they’re one gender just to get in a bathroom.

At primary school, my whole class attended a "marriage" between a girl and a table. If homophobes think that kids seeing lgbt stuff will turn them gay, do they also think that the kids from my primary school are now furnituresexual or something?
PEPPER SPRAY asdfghjkl it’s not even an interesting story tho😭 Basically this girl (let’s call her Sam) broke up with her bf because he was being a dick and she was being over dramatic saying shit like “I’m over boys, I’d rather marry a table in the future” so one of her friends was like “what if we actually married you to a table lol” so then this friend told everyone that Sam was gonna marry a table, and Sam found the whole thing really funny so she played along. The whole class got involved, someone made rings out of paper, and actually put one around a table leg and Sam wore the other one around for a few days. One of the kids officiated the wedding. And Sam actually kissed the table during the “you can kiss the bride” moment.💀 And this all took place during golden time (for ppl not from britain, it’s basically an hour every Friday in primary school where you can do whatever you want)
"Snuck into our school already!" Me, a transmale who's only supported at school but doesn't get any education on it what-so-ever and had to rely on secrecy from my therapist that my mother forced me to stop seeing: *oh really?*
It reminded me of the Buddhist parable of the two monks at the riverbank, and the small woman asking of one of them would carry her across the rushing torrent. One said, "Our order forbids us to so much as lay a finger upon a woman", but the other said, "Of course I'll help a fellow human being in need", and lifted her onto his shoulders and carried her across. Half an hour later, the first monk burst out to the other, "How could you wrap that woman's legs around your neck that way? How could you?" The other said, "Brother, I set the woman down when I got to the opposite bank - why are YOU still carrying her?"
@@strangerinalostworld I first thought he carried the woman back over the river to make a point, but that didn't make so much sense. So he is carrying her in his mind, because he is still thinking about her. Right? I feel a little dumb now, but I have the excuse that english isn't my mother tongue. 😂
That woman was way too smug about pulling a tampon out of her purse. Having a period sucks, it’s not a joy or a privilege to have a period it’s something annoying that must be put up with.
Lol yeah periods are literally such an inconvenience and super annoying. Why would anyone be smug about it? I was always confused about people my age wanting to get their first period and being excited about it cuz really that just means that you're going to have to deal with this annoying thing for the next like 40 years. No thanks
Agreed. Periods are the actual worst normally, but then there are the people who get insane pain and literally dread that time of the month. There is no woman happy about periods. Yes, they can be happy that they can get pregnant and stuff, but really, the period itself? They literally suck.
I dont think they understand either. Just because gay marriage is legal, it doesn't mean its not a sin any more in the eyes of God. Law of man is not the law of God. Repent from the ways of this world and get right with God for the Kingdom is at hand. Bless up 🙏
If people think men pretending to be trans and going into women's bathrooms is such an issue, why not just make everything individual gender neutral rooms like my primary school had???
That’s why I’m forever grateful for the guy who created unisex bathrooms. Whilst I’m not trans myself (I’m actually cis), unisex bathrooms can be very useful and inclusive to trans/non-binary people.
I wrote this in an speech I did a while back on LGBT+ erasure as my closing line, and I am still so proud of it. "And so I leave you with this parting question: What's so scary about love?"
“Kids in year 7 are being asked to roleplay being in a same-sex relationship” Yeah? And? When I was 10 years old I played Lady Capulet in my class’s ten-minute production of Romeo and Juliet and *guess what?* I had to “roleplay” as the wife of some boy in my class. I wasn’t attracted to him in the slightest, but I was fiiiiiiine with it because *it was for the sake of education.* And I still ended up being a gay woman sooooooo...
Futurama (a family guy-esque tv show) parodied that first one and it said "There are many reasons why we can't allow this. Now pretend we said those reasons, because we couldn't think of any"

The only time I’ve heard of men going into women’s restrooms wasn’t because they claimed they were a woman, it because they accidentally went into the wrong one and then panicked when they realized.
That happened to me but in the men's on because we were on the other side of the school and they put the girls on the left and boys on the right but it was flipped around on the side of the school I was on and I went in and just went because no one was in there and I didn't realize I was in the wrong one. I was in second grade then I should have known better lol.
I once was so focused on my own thoughts, that I went into the guys bathroom by accident .... the reason for this is because in each building at my ex high school, the bathrooms were always switched. Like one building had the girls bathroom on the left and the boys on the right, the next building beside it would have the boys bathroom on the left and the girls on the right and so on. Yeah so I m sure you can see how I ended up in that situation. Muscle memory failed me because I was so loss in thought...

@@tater_in_a_onesie_today6250 Kawaii cloud is saying that role-playing as straight would give them a new experience because they're already attracted to the same sex/gender

My mom is Muslim and a obg/yn she had to treat someone who was ftm she was slightly uncomfortable with the situation, but she tried her best to make sure he wasn't uncomfortable and treated him properly. Because thats how people should treat others despite their religion
When you said “just because you don’t have a period, that doesn’t make you not a real woman” that meant a lot. I am a cis woman but I have large gaps in my periods for 4-6 months. I struggle a lot with feeling like a “real women” when my female friends can talk about their period like it’s just a given. It meant a lot to hear you affirm that I’m a “real woman”, even though my body works a bit differently.
I'm the same way. If I don't take Birth control, I get my periods every 3-5 months because I have PCOS. My life has literally gotten so much better since I've gotten a diagnosis. Now it's being treated and I've never felt so good since I was like 11 when my cycle first started. But I do still wonder if I can have children. Then you see people being transphobic by saying that real women can have children and it pisses me off so much. You're not just being transphobic. You're just being an asshole in general. It's not a real argument
"We shouldn't educate kids on LGBT issues! It'd make them gay or trans!" Actually, not educating people on stuff like sexuality, gender expression and transitioning leads more people to identify wrong and misinform themselves so-----------
true. i think one reason why people are more quick to misgender him is bc they're confused on what a "trans man" is, or bc Jamie is a girl's name in America (it's really only used as a boy's name in the UK)
Honestly I wish my school had taught me about lgbt+ topics, especially trans issues and gender dysphoria. If they had I would have realised sooner why I wasn't happy in life and probably would've gotten the help I need. Instead I always thought I was just weird or broken, that there was something just not quite right about me. We need to teach lgbt+ topics in school. I don't think it's enough to just say it's okay.
Same. I only figured out I was trans after college when someone i knew came out as trans. Learning about LGBTQ+ stuff sooner might have really helped me.
I remember my 1st priest at my school (I attend a catholic school), He was homophobic af, And that church session everyone came out talking about how stupid he was, The next year tho he left and we got a really cool priest. so father Tony, If you’re out there, *why?*

religious studies is fine, but it does confuse me that the exact same people who force their children to be religious, attack LGBTQ+ teaching because you’re making kids gay? babes you’re forcing your kid to be religious, we’re just educating on someone’s existence...
‘Oh gosh, don’t teach kids about LGBT+ people because if my kid isn’t straight/cis they might realise that they don’t actually have to live their lives in internal torture and denial of who they are, and I would be so much more comfortable if they did!’
I had a lgbt lesson about nonbinary identities and I’m nb and most of the class was telling me my identity doesn’t exist and I’m feeling so depressed that most people I know and have been close with won’t accept me. My teacher does and sometimes forgets to use the correct pronouns but she’s doing her best despite it going against her religion. We need more people like her being supportive of people
The one about the son wearing a dress to school reminded me of what I did as a kid. When I went to a Catholic elementary school, 4-5 year old me (trans man) refused to wear the skirts and would go as far as to not care if people saw me without bottoms on. The school eventually gave up and allowed me to wear the boy's uniform because they wanted 4-5 year old me to stop stripping off the skirts. Then they allowed us to cut our hair short and wear the boys uniform. Several other girls at my school ended up stopped wearing their skirts, wore pants, and one other girl cut her hair short too. One of the boys in the other class started wearing skirts too that year.
I came out to my grandma as bi and she was telling me that I’m not and it’s just for attention and that most lgbtq+ people I meet aren’t actually that way and just want attention 😞😔
Sounds similar to what my dad says ( - _ - ) He made up this statistic about the LGBTQ+ community that only 10% are authentic while 90% are only wanting attention. For some reason, everything has to be about what his perspective is and how he perceives to be the truth. And to add a lil' vent 'cause this dude is a two-face, he says he supports me for who I am (that I'm lesbian) but then the next day he talks shit about the LGBTQ+ community. LIKE... You can't just support me and not my community ('cause that tells me that he actually doesn't support me and would side with any religious bastard that would take away my as well as my community's rights away.. If we had the rights at all.) AND to top it all off, he blames my sexuality for why I'm so clinically depressed (he does this to anyone who identifies along the LGBTQ+ spectrum; he blames the person's sexuality/gender-identity instead of how we are oppressed and treated).
That Australian ad was on tv all the time. The government wouldn't just legalise same sex marriage, they made us vote on it. In the lead up to the vote, all sorts of vile ads and arguments appeared. Caused a lot of harm and stress to the LGBT community. But thankfully it was a resounding yes vote. On another point my daughter hates wearing dresses so used to wear the boys uniform at school, no issues.
Because of a boundary redistribution at the last election, I was on the first street from the new border in a 70% No vote, and 1 block away from an 80% Yes vote. Our member voted yes anyway (I mean, I’m glad he did) so what was the point of it then? Just to air conservative Christian lies and to have LGBT people defend their existence? (Also same with the uniform)
The whole "real women have periods and have babies" thing is just the laziest argument that side has. I'm was biologically assigned female and I also identify as such, but wait, what's this? I can't have kids, and wait, eventually I won't have periods either... Guess my grandma and I aren't women 🤷
@camille barr wow that was beyond ignorant. You seriously need to do some actual research in biology. And don't say you have because that statement you put, proves you do not. Even with that logic, so what if it's because there's something medically wrong and that's why they can't reproduce, that means they aren't women then? Guess I'm not a women since I can't have kids anymore. Does that make me trans then? Wait but no you think trans people aren't real, so I'm a women? No I can't have babies... Y'all's logic is weird.
What the hell is the problem with that, if he wants to wear a dress let him wear a dress, I’ve seen men that absolutely ROCK dresses far better than women could, women can also wear suits if they want to I see absolutely no problem with it whatsoever

I live in a really homophobic country and my school is too , for my freshman year we had a new teacher for my literature and theatre class . He was from another country and was really open minded . One day we where doing role play and he matched two guys to acted, they were uncomfortable then one of them said “but we are both like..boys ?” And the other agree , then the teacher just look at them and said And ?? Two boys can be in a relationship so can two girls ! They where speechless. I love him ! He is the best teacher I have ever had ( he also asked our pronouns and stuff )
When I saw the part about schools teaching about lgbt+, I thought to myself: "Oh my old school didn't teach it". So my plan is, the next time I go to my Catholic school, I'm gonna wear rainbow and my pride flags (aro and ace) and tell any unsuspecting kid about it.
As a budding doctor with doctors in family, I'm so sorry you came across the wrong ones from the faternity. Hopefully there would be doctors who've read their subjects better and hence are pro LGBTQ rights and about inclusivity, wherever you live. Hope you are able to access those doctors

Oh, it's against the rules for teachers to talk about religion in my school. They can get fired for it. But the health teachers can also get fired for mentioning the word condom or birth control so 💁 my school is just really weird about religion though. Kids are allowed to wear religious symbols and express their religious freedom. Youll see little girls wearing cross necklaces all the time. I show up with one pentagram earring and it gets taken away. My parents had to file a complaint against the school for disrespecting our family's religious beliefs. So they technically arent allowed to preach religious stances but they sure as hell show a bias.
I dunno about other religions but I went to a school where they taught Christianity and Catholicism. And what I found is that the bible is always contradicting itself. We were taught to do onto others as we wish others would do onto us. Treat everyone with love, kindness, understanding and respect as Jesus did. I remember so many times we’d read stories about Jesus sitting down to break bread with “sinners” and talking to them, hearing their stories, when no one else would. But these ppl who say they follow what the bible says don’t do any of that. They have absolutely no empathy or compassion which is like one of the biggest teachings of Jesus. They get tattoos of the cross Jesus was once nailed on yet do absolutely none of the things he did. instead choosing to nitpick the bible and only caring for the parts that let them do harm onto others. Like, what’s the point then? Btw I am neither catholic nor Christian. I’m just rambling. To anyone that read this far: have a nice day ✨
When jamie was talking abiut being straight married as a child I thought he was acting as a women and I didnt know why coz I literally forgot he was trans for a second 😂
Had to pause the video and sit there for a second trying to figure out what school would have a little boy pretend to be a girl so they could pretend straight marry
The school ones are absurd - I already knew I didn't really feel like a boy or a girl by the time I was in 2nd grade, I just didn't know it was normal until many years later. Also fun fact: There are more cases of U.S. senators sexually assaulting women in bathrooms and locker rooms than trans women. Yet somehow, said senators are also petitioning against trans women because of their sexual assault of women. Excuse me, W H A T.
That reminds me of my experience but it was with species I knew from 7th grade that I was ok with openly identifying as a wolf. It was not until I learned about Thariantropy years later that I discovered I was not alone it was a very happy moment for me. I had these instincts from about the 2d grade as well. I now live in hiding and am wondering if I can have a human owner. I’m still committed to being human and having hobbies and activities and a job etc. I wish you the best! ❤
That tampon advert is great. There could be a million reasons why the alleged trans woman didn't have one. Maybe she's pregnant so she doesn't need tampons for the next few months. Who knows.
"If we don't teach our kids about lgbt in school then they won't become homosexual/trans" seems to be following the same logic as "if we don't teach our children about sex in school then they won't become teenage parents". Which works SO WELL.... not.
In the first ad, all these arguments can be used on race: "The guberment is oppressing me by not allowing me to discriminate against black people! If we give them rights, us white people will loose our rights!" Actually, that also applies to a lot of anti trans stuff as well.
I know. It's really interesting(and funny if you have a dark sense of humor) that like... we just repeat history over and over again and no one ever seems to notice/learn.
I literally was never taught anything lgbt+ except for an amazing person who was gender fluid. They were one of the few reasons I even knew about the lgbt+ community in the first place so thank you for helping me feel better about myself!
Doctors have a duty to treat everyone equally. Even if the person has committed genocide, they are treated equally. If someone has a medical bias then they need to find a different career.
I heard about a med student who asked what to do about treating a patient who doesn’t follow their personal religious beliefs and the professor told them to pick a new career path. You don’t become a doctor to cherry pick based on religion, you treat people within your ability in your specific specialization.
If your personal beliefs are going to influence how you care for your patience, then you should consider a different path. I particularly wish many doctors in the women's health care field would take this advice.
i'm happy a trans father got presented in a father's day ad here in brazil (even tho it was met with quite some criticism, it's still wholesome) that's a big step for trans people :)
Maybe the woman didn’t pull out a tampon because she didn’t feel like waving a tampon in another woman’s face. It doesn’t mean she’s trans, it doesn’t even mean that she doesn’t have tampons in her bag. Also this video made a very hard day one million times better, I think that you’re amazing, thank you for making my day💛💛💛💛
5:33 This makes me happy TwT As being gay is normalized, more kids are gonna figure out they are lgbtq+ earlier. That’s just how the world works. So gay kids aren’t invalid, or going through a phase, they just realized sooner then other gay adults. I’m glad you acknowledged this
Ooof, that Libra ad. Because if there's one thing I LOVE about being a cis woman, and am constantly bragging about to all my cis male friends is having a lil' flesh pocket I can store cotton balls in monthly. I make sure all my girlfriends have the same pocket before I allow them to use my toilet. I GET GIRLS, ok?!

When Jamie said: "And.. I roleplayed getting straight married as the woman", I was like: wait, that's.... oh, right. Forgot he's trans for a minute there.
Earlier today I found out my entire class is transphobic. We were making Google forms for each other to fill out and the teacher told us to write the question “What is your gender” in there with the options “male, female, prefer not to say” the class asked why we had to put prefer not to say. He was really nice and said something along the lines of “some people don’t know who they are or just really would prefer not to say” someone said “well I already know everyone’s gender anyway” and the teacher said something about trans people and everyone 𝑙𝑎𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑒𝑑. They laughed at the fact that trans people exist. One guy even made a transphobic “joke”. He said “oOoH look I’m a laaady” My non-binary ass clicked prefer not to say on every single one of those damn quizzes.
I hate the bathroom plan ad so much more than the rest because, in case you haven't noticed, there aren't any people employed as bathroom guards stopping masc-presenting people going into women's bathrooms, and 'identifying as a woman' wouldn't make it any easier for predators because it is already so, so easy. And yet, very few rapes ever ocdcur in bathrooms - it's almost like there are always multiple people who could serve as witnesses in there, in a single-exit room in a public space, always surrounded by people capable of calling 999 if there aren't any police nearby. How the hell would allowing trans women into women's bathrooms change any of that?!
Tampons scare me. It looks like it hurts. I would rather sit on my own blood rather that shove a wad of cotton up my hooha. My friends tell me that you won't be able to feel the tampon but still.......not for me.
@@guccicupcakeandsunshineboo6315 it doesn't hurt, and if you put it on correctly you don't feel it. It might no be the best thing to use but they have advantages and there might be situations where you might want to use one, or need to use one and you'll want to know how
When I was like 4 got into a bathroom with my mom and there was a girl who was like 17 or something that really looked like a guy and I asked if she were a guy. Although I was like 4 and don’t remember much things that girl marked me. Yesterday I found her on Instagram. Now she’s 26, and beautiful.
Before the bathroom acts someone I know had been followed into a bathroom by a cis man who tried forcing himself on them. Allowing trans people to use the bathrooms they want to use isnt going to just let predatory men go in any time they want. Predatory men could already do that. There was nothing stopping them. Just let the trans women be happy and content like damn 🙄
There’s an entire day in this school where the grade 12’s cross dress their uniforms. The boys wear dresses and the girls wear shirts and pants. I got to see it once and they were all having a lot of fun
I assure you no one taught me being polyamorous was a thing, yet here I am. Also do they think there’s a force field around women’s bathrooms that currently keeps all men out?
Yes. I literally learned about it from my friend in seventh grade. Seventh. Grade. And I still haven’t had any official education about it. I am poly, but in a relationship with just one girlfriend. But still. I’m like 80% sure I’m poly
Hey Jamie, I know you'll probably never see this, but I have to try. Thank you for your videos. They are half of what's keeping me together right now. I recently made the decision to leave the conservative Christian movement I was in, and that gave me the space to realize that I'm not straight (still working on finding the right level). Hey Jamie, I was watching another TH-cam react to 7-second riddles and most of them are transphobic, sexist, and/or homophobic. Would love to see your reaction!
When Jamie said he roleplayed as a woman in a heterosexual marriage, I immediately imagined him standing as a boy in a gown. I cannot even imagine him as a girl. It's too unreal, too weird, and too uncomfortable for me to imagine him that way. That is what trans people experience daily, but like ten thousand times worse, if they are before transition. And transitioning doesn't even fully stop dysphoria from fully taking it's toll on them either. It is extremely weakened, but anything they do, that stereotypically aligns with the gender they were assigned at birth might cause it to skyrocket. Of course, not every trans person has the traditionally explained dysphoria. I for an example do not have traditional dysphoria, but am still trans. And some people don't even have dysphoria, and are still trans.

People who say “any man can enter a women’s restroom just by claiming to be a woman” have clearly never seen a trans woman.
Yeah. Men are more likely to enter women's restrooms cause the transphobes are forcing them to conform to their birth gender.

The whole class got involved, someone made rings out of paper, and actually put one around a table leg and Sam wore the other one around for a few days. One of the kids officiated the wedding. And Sam actually kissed the table during the “you can kiss the bride” moment.💀

They teach about religions in schools. I’m not religious. Like i don’t get people’s logic
My school was very very religious and it defo took affect apart from the demon tattoo i have and the fact that i am gay

Or hey maybe she can get periods and she's just not currently on her period
There are actually people who believe women who wear heavy makeup are doing it to hide the fact that they're actually crossdressers.
