I'm Bisexual, my dad won't talk about it, my mum keeps telling me to "just choose" and "every one picks a side eventually". Because either the girls or the guys I've dated don't matter. I can recommend the subreddit r/SapphoAndHerFriend for casual modern and historic LGBT erasure. Things like ‘oh, they’re just friends’ to ‘was Sappho actually a woman?’. Much of it is filled with ‘how dense can you be to call a lesbian wedding an “adorable bff wedding”’ or being generally dismissive of LGBT people. It’s just hilarious.

6:58 this happened to me 2 nights ago. I was with my two friends at a sleepover, they know I’m a closeted trans girl. We were talking about the saddest moments in our life’s and I had said the time I attempted suicide. They then continues to tell me how our friend group wouldn’t exist without me and that I’m the core, the positivity and the fun of the group. I then said “I wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for you guys standing by my side everyday.” We then all proceeded to cry and huge each other. I’m thankful for them.

As a pansexual, I've just gotten used to the whole "so you're attracted to frying pans" thing. It's annoying, but I try to use it as a teaching lesson to explain what pansexual actually means! Though, the most creative (but kinda fucked up) one I've heard was "So you're enjoying the pandemic?" Anyway wholesome story time! So I came out as pansexual to my parents a few days before June starred. I think my mom knew for a while, because I'd always bring up LGBT+ subjects, had a pansexual heart on my waterbottle, etc. So my mom tells me that if I ever need someone to talk to, she's right there (like the morning after I came out) and I was PANicking. I basically avoided her for a few days because I was scared I was in trouble or something. I was pretty sure my dad would be alright with it, but I wasn't sure how my mom would react. When I was at my dad's house, he called me down to the kitchen in the evening, just me and him. I was thinking I was in trouble, not just for me coming out, but for avoiding my mom for a couple of days. So I reluctantly came down to the kitchen. And it was one of the best talks I've had with him in my whole life. He talked to me about it, asking for clarification on what it meant, (he googled it and wanted to make sure he was right) how long I've realized it for, how I realized it, etc. He was just so supportive of it, even if he didn't fully understand what it meant. I was on the brink of tears from how heart-warming it was. Also recently, my mom got my sister a Stitch plush from build a bear. I wasn't expecting anything, but she ended up getting me a rainbow teddy bear with white t-shirt on it that said love (which was also rainbow) and now whenever she can't find something video game related to get me (like a beach towel for example) she gets me something pride related instead and it's just so heartwarming to my gay little heart 🥺

A few months ago I made a friend of mine a bi-flag mini cake for her birthday (I'd shown her pics of a rainbow flag cake I made a few years ago for my best friends 18th and she requested "the bi-est cake possible" lol). In the middle of making it, another friend of mine face timed me to chat, and since she's also bi, I showed her the colors and she immediately SCREAMED with excitement. Now, another thing to note is I myself am bi. So I was a bi person making a bi cake for my bi friend while talking with _another_ bi friend about it, making this story the most bisexual thing I've lived through 😂
"If you're family isn't supportive I'll be your dad!" "I'll be your trans dad!" This is wonderful and I also find it amazing how often it seems to happen? I hate how often we LGBT+ers need supportive parental figures outside our own families, but it also warms my heart how often it happens. My best friend is trans, and the discord chat I'm on with him is full of younger LGBT people (can't really say kids, they're mostly in their early to mid 20s) who legit call him 'dad.' Most of them he met through gaming channels and they were 'my family's not supportive or I'm too afraid to come out or they've kicked me out' and he's like welp, guess I'm a dad now, and when he married his wife she also adopted the role of mother to most of them. It's super cute, even if I wish it was more that they were just being a second supportive set of parental figures, rather than the only supportive set of parental figures.

Jamie is one of the few binary trans youtubers that make me feel comfortable being nonbinary and comfortable watching his content. I used to struggle for a while over feeling like I'm lesser than binary trans people. I was in denial for a year or so after my original coming out as transmale and still struggle in finding acceptance, especially irl. Thank you, Jamie, for being an ally. Many people underestimate the value of being an ally to others in your community.

These videos always make me feel a weird mix of 'aww that's so sweet' and also slight jealousy at all those people with supportive parents. They're all so lucky to be supported, I'm really happy that even if I can't have that, at least some people can (and it gives me a little bit of hope for the future too)

So, funny storytime!: (Funny, wholesome? idk honestly but it involves cute animals and lgbtq+) So one time I was playing with my two ferrets. (I have one sable ferret named Maple and one "white-with-black-eyes" ferret named Cheesecake) For a little bit of context, my Non-binary pride flag usually hangs next to their cage but for some reason (i forgot why) it was on the carpet that day. I left the room to refill their water bowl and found Maple snuggled up in the pride flag. I now use they/them pronouns for my adorable (and possible enby) fur-baby.
I just watched this with my two pet birds. They’re a gay couple and even if they didn’t understand a single thing, I just wanted to let them know that they should be proud of who they are.

I can recommend the subreddit r/SapphoAndHerFriend for casual modern and historic LGBT erasure. Things like ‘oh, they’re just friends’ to ‘was Sappho actually a woman?’. Much of it is filled with ‘how dense can you be to call a lesbian wedding an “adorable bff wedding”’ or being generally dismissive of LGBT people. It’s just hilarious.
I've seen One Topic at a Time cover it and I'm just like "You can't deny the existence of a group of people."
Sappho was a definitely lesbian but the ancient Greeks were so threatened by her lesbianness that they censored her poems and stuff after her death.

Yesterday I told my friends I was going to come out as trans to my parents on Monday. I was telling them how nervous I was and without missing a beat, my friend says "I love you (platonically) Jack, no matter what gender you are. You’re a strong man and I have full faith in you. Do it for me, do it for your friends, but do it for you." and I'm honestly going to cry, she's amazing. Just thought I'd tell my wholesome story:)

So, gay story: In my school, they like to do fake marriages and divorce places, and also you can send anonymous letters to someone. This Valentine’s Day, for some reason the principal said that there won’t be same sex marriage, so the guys in the love letters cabin ended up stealing some marriage papers and marrying gay couples in secret. My friend married her best friend and I was her witness and it was too wholesome.
Another friend also sent a love letter to my PE teacher as a joke and it was the best thing ever

6:58 this happened to me 2 nights ago. I was with my two friends at a sleepover, they know I’m a closeted trans girl. We were talking about the saddest moments in our life’s and I had said the time I attempted suicide. They then continues to tell me how our friend group wouldn’t exist without me and that I’m the core, the positivity and the fun of the group. I then said “I wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for you guys standing by my side everyday.” We then all proceeded to cry and huge each other. I’m thankful for them.

First of all, thank you for all the support. Words won't describe how well it feels to be accepted and loved.
Second, I called my dad today and told him how I felt. It didn't go well but it was better than expected. He says it's wrong and I got influenced. I know my truth, I will save up to begin with my therapy. Not everything is bad, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes both.
And finally, if you guys need any emotional support or just want to talk, would you like to build an online community? Would you like some sort of contact to reach out to? How about live updates? If this is a way I can help Humanity I will do my best. It would be nice to interview and interact with each other, that way no one feels alone.

As a pansexual, I've just gotten used to the whole "so you're attracted to frying pans" thing. It's annoying, but I try to use it as a teaching lesson to explain what pansexual actually means!
Though, the most creative (but kinda fucked up) one I've heard was "So you're enjoying the pandemic?"
Anyway wholesome story time! So I came out as pansexual to my parents a few days before June starred. I think my mom knew for a while, because I'd always bring up LGBT+ subjects, had a pansexual heart on my waterbottle, etc.
So my mom tells me that if I ever need someone to talk to, she's right there (like the morning after I came out) and I was PANicking. I basically avoided her for a few days because I was scared I was in trouble or something. I was pretty sure my dad would be alright with it, but I wasn't sure how my mom would react. When I was at my dad's house, he called me down to the kitchen in the evening, just me and him. I was thinking I was in trouble, not just for me coming out, but for avoiding my mom for a couple of days. So I reluctantly came down to the kitchen.
And it was one of the best talks I've had with him in my whole life. He talked to me about it, asking for clarification on what it meant, (he googled it and wanted to make sure he was right) how long I've realized it for, how I realized it, etc. He was just so supportive of it, even if he didn't fully understand what it meant. I was on the brink of tears from how heart-warming it was.
Also recently, my mom got my sister a Stitch plush from build a bear. I wasn't expecting anything, but she ended up getting me a rainbow teddy bear with white t-shirt on it that said love (which was also rainbow) and now whenever she can't find something video game related to get me (like a beach towel for example) she gets me something pride related instead and it's just so heartwarming to my gay little heart 🥺

A few months ago I made a friend of mine a bi-flag mini cake for her birthday (I'd shown her pics of a rainbow flag cake I made a few years ago for my best friends 18th and she requested "the bi-est cake possible" lol). This is wonderful and I also find it amazing how often it seems to happen? I hate how often we LGBT+ers need supportive parental figures outside our own families, but it also warms my heart how often it happens. My best friend is trans, and the discord chat I'm on with him is full of younger LGBT people (can't really say kids, they're mostly in their early to mid 20s) who legit call him 'dad.' Most of them he met through gaming channels and they were 'my family's not supportive or I'm too afraid to come out or they've kicked me out' and he's like welp, guess I'm a dad now, and when he married his wife she also adopted the role of mother to most of them. It's super cute, even if I wish it was more that they were just being a second supportive set of parental figures, rather than the only supportive set of parental figures.

I used to struggle for a while over feeling like I'm lesser than binary trans people. I was in denial for a year or so after my original coming out as transmale and still struggle in finding acceptance, especially irl. Thank you, Jamie, for being an ally. Many people underestimate the value of being an ally to others in your community.

So one time I was playing with my two ferrets. (I have one sable ferret named Maple and one "white-with-black-eyes" ferret named Cheesecake) For a little bit of context, my Non-binary pride flag usually hangs next to their cage but for some reason (i forgot why) it was on the carpet that day. I left the room to refill their water bowl and found Maple snuggled up in the pride flag. I now use they/them pronouns for my adorable (and possible enby) fur-baby.
