Rpm’s might be rising between shifts because the waste gate is not dumping fast enough. The turbo flutter isn’t the best for the turbo, maybe consider getting a bigger waste gate. Awesome vid!

The turbo flutter, or whatever that sound is would drive me crazy. I would be constantly thinking something needed repair. If you can fix it, I suggest doing that.

Is there not a blow off valve? That woo woo woo noise I do believe is you stalling the compressor if there is no blow off valve and that’s pretty rough on the turbo. Will wear it out prematurely.

Stock motor could handle around 12-13 psi safely. I've got a single turbo so that may be different from the twins but 12-13psi nets around 600hp 490wtq which is safe for stock vq37s with the right supporting mods. as long as you keep torque below 500wtq stock block should be golden. If youre adjusting boost via ecutek by the evap sensor hijack your tuner can ramp in the boost progressively to keep it below that 500-550 wtq number
I agree with your numbers. Anything over 600 wheel HP & 500 TQ is too much stress (stock) and will require additional upgrades on the drivetrain to keep it reliable.
Hell of a car! If you need the space sell it but in 10 years you will regret it. You've got other cars that make more sense to sell.
To me it appears that there is still boost building, or pressure not being released quick enough, so whether the revs are rising or just hanging when you shift, it would seem the boost pressure is being held up.
Being pilots, you should check out the Breitling line of watches. Particularly the Navitimer line. You may enjoy having an E6b right on your wrist!

i would assume it needs a lightweight flywheel or clutch something along those lines. to get the revs to drop sooner during shifts
Pretty sure they did that last episode if I’m not mistaken, what they need is a ecu tune from ekutek
im pretty sure its tune and blowoff related. like the blowoffs arent opening fast enough and it still produces boost as hes coming off the throttle which can actually be quite damaging to the engine over long periods of time so its really something that he should look into

Keep it under 550WHP with stock internals to be reliable. The engine is capable of 700WHP stock , but thats really really pushing it. The VQ37 is a beast engine...
Y’all need to drive it, the convertibles aren’t worth as much and they made a TON of these and it will take a long time for them to appreciate to any meaningful value
They didn't make a ton of convertibles. I wouldn't buy it but it is a rare one.
I've got a stock charcoal grey 06 Z roadster (and love it) usually don't go for the heavy mods, but that thing's like, just right :)
that Z must be so fun in the corners. 3200 pounds RWD + manual gearbox = one hell of a good time. I predict she'll make 536 hp and 615 torque
I got a 350z and I will say, it’s stupidly fun in corners.

I would guess something like 417 whp on what seems like a conservative 7lbs of boost. That would make it around 500 at the crank, pretty impressive for a VQ V6. My opinion would be to get the fixed up nice, paint correction, restore the headlights and whatever other little things. Then enjoy it for a little bit and then sell it! Move on to the next interesting vehicle :)

What a gorgeous and stunning ride boys, for me I would enjoy it. Of all the cars you have it's a great reliable car and easy to maintain and use.even if in say 3 or 4 years you get it to 5k miles on the clock ypu still have a very special car. As for power I'm gonna hazard a guess of say 548hp at the wheels

I’m pretty sure It’s got a rev hang in between shifts, I’m pretty sure it can be tuned out. but maybe it’s something else. I just know my ford ranger has rev hang and hate it.
I’m guessing the RPMs rising on the shift is you not lifting off the throttle quick enough and due to the lightened flywheel they just shoot uo quicker.
Please build one of those Porsche. I think that would be an awesome build series 😎

The RPM keep rising when you go to upshift because of boost hang.
This is the only channel in all of TH-cam, and my decades of watching TH-cam, that I actually wait for the next video to come out. And I hate it. I want it yesterday lol.

The blowoff sound sounds off / to long, and it sounds like there is still boost building while letting go of the throttle ?
I'd let a renowned tuner who's well acquainted with the vq engine take a good look at the turbo and map setup.
When thats all done , PLEASE dont sell it ...

On pump gas I’ll say 450whp prob 400ish torque, and 10-12psi safe and some people get good life running 15psi should be able to push over 600whp just keep torque around 500 don’t go about 500wheel torque engine probably want last

That turbo flutter is compressor surge. You need to install or fix your blow off valve and that’ll solve that issue.

my guess would be 564 whp, with about 500-510 ft lb of torque. definitely healthy for the stock motor if its not pushed on daily

the revs still rise maybe because of the drive by wire it's commun to have rev hang in these type of throttle setups they don't close fast enough when you lift off the throttle

The car needs blow off valves to keep it from barking the turbos and throttle hang problem. Not sure why it doesn't have any or they are not working.
I guess it would be around 500 hp to the wheels. I wish you keep it, enjoy it sometimes. No way you can put too many miles on it. The price in this condition never goes donw anyway.
