Had my best offer ever on Wednesday. It was an instant accept. $107 delivered it and they gave me an additional $60 cash. Made my day. Generally though, I'm getting offers $25-40 every hour. If I don't get that, I can usually grab a small ship and deliver and an offer no one else wanted and finish in an hour. Making again 25-35.
@@YourDriverMike yes, curbside, single order, $100 tip. Of course concern for tip bait, but then when they gave me the $60 cash, I wasnt as worried, then when I saw the $100 come through the next day, I was ecstatic. $167 for 30 minutes work. I can send you a screen grab of the trip if you want.
I did Spark all last year when I lived in a rural area. My main dislikes are the unpredictability of getting offers and long wait times for staff to come out for curbside.
For spark you have to double the mileage seen to get the correct dollar per mile. You always go back to the Walmart after delivery unless you get another order from doordash etc
Like with all these now crappy gig jobs, Spark was awesome when it first dropped. I use to accept orders from my couch for $45+ to drop like 8 packages off locally and I loved it but the last time I turned on Spark I could tell things had totally changed.
Never remembered that 25 minute clause from the moment you accept. But regardless it's never really made sense for me other than a filler app. If you're near a Walmart or Sam's, be online, take a run but don't keep going back and forth to that store doubling miles.
@@YourDriverMike So the problem I have with that is my zone is so spread out that if you're sitting at the one walmart and you get an offer to the walmart on the other side of the zone it can take at least 45 minutes to drive there, if not more, but if you don't accept that offer it drops your metrics. I rarely got offers from the walmarts I was closest to. It's like the system is designed for you to fail. But I haven't done it in a while so maybe things have changed.
I prefer shops. If you’re lucky you can get a shop go in get it and deliver in the time you would have to wait to pick up a curbside order. Plus shops pay a little better base pay. The issue I have is they approve soooo many people for smaller areas and you don’t get many orders until those new drivers decide it’s not for them.
My biggest gripe with Spark is while I dont need to hang in the parking lot to get offers, they send them ASAP pickups at stores that are 25-30 minutes away. Like you can see where Im at, you mean no one is closer, which then kills the AR. Overall though, Ive been making way more money with Spark over DD since Dasher Rewards came to town (Tucson)
Needs to have filter features like Flex where I can filter out warehouses I don't want shift offers for. This is a little different, it'd filter out real-time offers for locations we don't want. Problem is there's at least 2 Walmarts in the zone I drove in, so either shrink the zone or make an offer filter. I've accidentally accepted from a store 20 minutes away before
My first issue is getting the gig, arrive on time, wait 10 plus minutexs and get notification the order has been cancelled. Its usually big gigs that are 40 dollars or more. Compensation is a few dollars for my time. The other issue is the app and the on going glitches.
Correct but that ending destination I showed would've been pretty close between the two, seemed equidistant. Unless I stayed and tried to get the retail location offers but thinking those are very rare
Crazy. In my town I can turn on spark and be busy all day long nonstop. I am grateful for that. And I don't have to wait for round Robin's, there is always ASAP in between. We have 5 walmarts and 4 are in town. I do all the kinds of spark offers. I never have gotten an offer from anything other than sams and walmart. I do uber eats if I see an easy drop on my way home if I am on the other side of town.
We don't have a special place to bag or check out. I saw aa spark checkout area 1 time but they must have removed it because I haven't seen it in awhile.
@yourdrivermike I wait but I only choose the drops that pay $20+ so they usually take 30 to 45 minutes to do so I get back to do another evey hr that way I can say I'm getting paid at least $20 hr
Hey Mike I do multi apps and Spark is one of them. Spark can be a hit or miss. Try doing Spark closer to the dinner rush than the later part of the evening.
This was during dinner rush I feel but I saw at least 4 other drivers waiting with nothing. Maybe an off day but it just doesn't make sense for me to go all the way down there for Spark
@@YourDriverMiketry on a Sunday, even Saturday if you can. Sundays I expect to work 8 hours and clear at least 200, I’ve had 300 before too. I’d never make that with food.
In Houston spark and other delivery apps are crap. I pick offers drive all the way to the Walmart check in and they tell you the order is fake or has already been delivered. Right now, i can't waste my time and gas
Depending on how many drivers there are, the time of day, they use to show what times will be busy that day but took them off also more drivers so more people getting offers, also normally I would not take a 3.4 mile order for 12 bucks I aim at 15 bucks, unless working a really slow day ,and I always add the miles of going from Walmart to the customer and back to the Walmart I wait at. You normally also get only 1 order an hour most of the time, they offer pick up in my area about 25-37 minutes so let's say 2:35 I'll see a curbside pick up. Shopping orders can happen any time, but for shopping at least 15 bucks or more is my goal and 20+ on curbside depending on the distance. Its more waiting then getting multiple orders in a row, and some weeks can just not be good weeks. Also weekends and Monday for me are the most busiest days.
@@YourDriverMikeI’m not the person you responded to but I live less than 2 miles from my Walmart, and food places, so I can get offers from home and easily make it there in 10 minutes. Although I do just go out to the store and stay there unless I want to stop at home for lunch or something. There is only one other Walmart in my zone and it’s like 25-30 min, it’s useles even entertaining offers for it and I wish you could turn off individual stores.
I primarily spark and fill in with dashing. I do 90% shop orders. They're back to back during prime time hours. I never accept less than $2 a mile on curbs or $3 a mile on shops. Yesterday I made $140 being out from 230 until 8. Only $15 on doordash. Mostly rural area, hours from a major city. 2 supercenters and 1 marketside in a mostly rural area I prefer shops because with those I am in control. In control of substitutes, bagging, loading and of course delivering. Customers will rate you poorly for things technically, not your fault... like the bags being tied when they don't want them to be or items out of stock. I definitely would have untied all the bags from that one guys video. I cringed for him thinking he'll lose his tip over it. Also, the store closest to me is notorious for not having the curbs ready. I'm not talking about packed... they will still be shopping it. That said, if I am still out close to the end of their day I can make good money. Most of the drivers that won't shop get fed up and move on.I take the ones the store manages to get ready, often at surged prices.
I just came back on spark after two years. First day back on line was yesterday. $77, 2 pick ups, 5 drops, under 18 miles...how long will the bait newbie orders last? I will let you know lol... Luckily i Dash in my area too. I just wish uber would stop with the age limit on vehicles. I have a gorgeous low miles excellent condition 2012 town and country and can easily do large orders but not for Uber. Ugh

I live 5 minutes from a Walmart and it’s between 2 pretty busy areas for DoorDash (unfortunately in two different zones), do you think this would be a good thing for me to use and see if I get something
I only have to drive 4 miles from my house to Walmart. I drive a little Honda Accord and I keep receiving orders for like 15 to 18 drops. I will not do those.
Well if you’re further than 25 mins away then they shouldn’t send you an order. For me it’s on all day if I see one I like I take it no maker where I’m at.

Ok, I am a spark driver so is my wife, we do shopping as well as load and go. We make 500--1000 dollars each a week. Shopping ones are the best in my opinion, the reason is well they usually tip well. We usually average 25 dollars for an order 11-15 items 2-3 miles. Monday is hit and miss but decent, tuesday the same Wednesday is a terrible day, thursday is decent and friday is amazing! I made 412 bucks last friday.. Now the weekend sucks at least here because people that work all week try and make extra money so there are to many spark drivers on the weekends to make it worth it. But that just means we grind mon-tue then wed off and grind Thurs-Fri and weekend off. It is very lucrative if you do it right. We are on roadie, instacart, door dash etc but we never use them because spark is amazing when you start grinding them out! Thanks for the great videos the only reason we started doing this was when I started watching you and we made it work so well it pays all our bills and some. Would never had heard of this stuff if it wasn't for you my guy!
Sunday and Monday are often my best days on Spark. I multi app but sometimes I still sit and wait at wal mart if it’s slow. Especially around curbside drop, which is usually like 38-45 past the hour (Sam’s is different). Not sure it’s worth sitting for spark only. Multi app for sure. I hardly ever get offers for the other stores that aren’t wal mart.
$20 seems to be the minimum I'm hearing. Makes sense because if it's "34 minutes" but then you have to drive back, it's actually 45 minutes so you better get more than my $12.
I was deactivated 2 days ago during a delivery. No reason given. Metrics were all green,, 100%, 100%, 59% AR, 4.9% customer rating. Appeal denied. I have requested a pre-arbitration telephone conference call. Doubt it will do any good from what I've read about those. Time to move on I guess.
Someone explain to me how the sign up process works? I’ve been trying every couple weeks for going on 9 months. There’s no waiting list. I can’t even create a login for sign up. I have to do the process new each time. I don’t expect to actually be able to work. I’ve seen the teams of people in like four or five cars with multiple phones in hand when I’ve done UE pickups. They have it locked down for sure. I would just at least like a shot at it to try it.
@@baldwinirvinh3510 I live in one of the best markets for this stuff. Before it was over run by illegals I was making 1600-2400 a week running every app working about 60hrs give or take not even breaking a sweat. Now that number has been cut more than half and with more work involved. Hope you keep crushing it because when it turns it’s painful and I wouldn’t wish what I’m going through on anyone. And that’s on top of the fact I’m struggling to find work to replace this
Why you’re inside the Walmart just waiting it’s better to move outside of it. Honestly, I never sit inside the Walmart like 10 to 15 to 20 minutes outside the Walmart and close to games stop and stuff like that because I can really make money like I picked up the GameStop, I was nowhere near and I picked up a GameStop order and they almost $30 on it on one item.
I'm not even sure why you bother to give an opinion on Spark because you haven't bothered to learn how it works much less talk to other drivers (in the parking lot) to get more insight smh. Also, when is doing 1 order even considered a shift? Lastly, when you put 0 to minimal effort into something don't expect stellar results.
@yourdrivermike the non asap orders come out random and the load and go comes out half hr for quarter of pick up , wo most curbside pick ups pick up on 145 ,245, 345...

And that’s on top of the fact I’m struggling to find work to replace this
Love the thumbnail lol huge shoutout to my graphic designer for that one
Anybody know active zipcode for new spark ID setup? I am on waitlist from a long time ago
5 minutes waiting is good
Why you’re inside the Walmart just waiting it’s better to move outside of it. Honestly, I never sit inside the Walmart like 10 to 15 to 20 minutes outside the Walmart and close to games stop and stuff like that because I can really make money like I picked up the GameStop, I was nowhere near and I picked up a GameStop order and they almost $30 on it on one item.
Spark is trying to diversify like instacart and door dash
Grocery, retail, alcohol and convenience have been the hot 'new verticals' in the last 3 years.
Ps Love the channel. Thanks for putting the issue out there for us to learn and stay informed Mike!
Before they good now there are verry bad .
Deactivate ya for phony reasons.
I heard bots own that app
I think they mostly fixed that recently
It was so pervasive Spark addressed it in-part here: drive4spark.walmart.com/blog/safeguarding-the-spark-driver-platform-for-delivery-drivers-like-you
Walmart is trash. 🗑️ spark ⚡️ is the same
@yourdrivermike the non asap orders come out random and the load and go comes out half hr for quarter of pick up , wo most curbside pick ups pick up on 145 ,245, 345...
Appreciate you sharing, I knew there was some rhythm to it
