I have to say, I really love Walmart Spark (cherry picking). I did my first Sam’s Club curbside and it paid $75 for 1 drop off going 5.5 miles! In JBs words, JUICY!
@@YourDriverMike I submitted my first Sam’s Club order to you. I just started my channel this year and don’t have too many videos to sift through. Feel free to check them out. 😌
Spark basically pays $1 a mile but during summer a lot of cases of water to apartments. I hate apartments especially in 100F heat. I love Apple Store pick up pays $2 a mile and small little white bag.
Same here. Higher overall pay and less stress than DD. I've been taking the 9+ drop off orders of online orders. Drive and drop off online packages for a few hours is worth it to me
My Spark is a winner. It’s brand new and in a vacation area that stays busy almost year round. I definitely saw the pay drop after my first month with Spark and they stopped offering promotions every day.
This video popped up as a suggestion when I Googled "Walmart Heavy Pay" which apparently is no longer a thing. But anyway, on the west coast I'm seeing offers start at $3 per drop-off. So a regular pickup delivering to 3 customers, $9 base pay. Absolutely not worth it and not even minimum wage. Base gets bumped up slightly for heavy items or distance but not enough to make it worth it. They frequently try to hide the size of an order (16 items but qty 45 is still small, even though 8 gallon jugs of milk!) or disregard heavy pay.
I don't multi app. Spark keeps me busy $200 to $300 a week for about 12 hours. Work full time and make decent, $28 hour. Also, I own my own business, things get slow, and I spark. Make on average $1,500 a week. I have a family, so I generally take weekends off. Just work 8 am to midnight all week 😂
if I could make one improvement with Spark, it would be to show other orders available(like UE) while you are carrying a load already so you can get your next order from a store closer to you than the one you came from all in all, you will make $1 per mile driven on Spark so if ya need $100 for the day, plan on driving 100 miles. $1,000 per week? ya going to drive about 1,000 miles think about that
Destroying your own vehicle for Walmart's profit. Crazy. That .99 is more like .49 if you factor in wear and tear and maintenance. I hope people doing this are good at saving $, they will need it to purchase another car.
@@pdsmith11803umm it's a DELIVERY GIG🤷🏾♂️ what did u think the job would entail? That's like signing up to work remotely at home and then complaining about having to use your Wi-Fi or your electricity increasing 😂 y'all will find the negative in everything. I definitely see people eating good off this app, even with the down sides
Most people don't even factor in driving to the stores and roundtrips just to get back. If you're not averaging at least $1.50 per mile on total miles driven for the day, then I don't think it's worth it no matter what gig app you're using.
sparks driver today, i overheard a customer say "he is just like a server at a reastraunt" 3 hours work in my car, $27 in payments from Spark. Yes you make like 2-3 dollars an hour profit after taxes and expenses, so yea i am just like a server :) basically this is a $6000 a year job
I love shopping and delivering also. The only things I am not thrilled about is when there isn't enough of what they are looking for or the store itself restocks the products in a different area of the store.
idk about not getting out of the car. Im in the pittsburgh also, doing northwest area. and every time ive done the load n go i have to scan each package at the store before i leave and then scan again on delivery. but thats doing a whole route not just 1 persons delivery.
I don't have to drive back to the Walmart that I picked up the order from. As soon as I'm done with my deliveries, I'm up for any offers of whatever Walmart or Sam's needs a driver.hummm Clarksville TN
I've had a couple of Spark runs with varying "quality." I'm still getting my feet wet in the gig life so I'm not doing a lot of metrics. I haven't had wait time problems, which are probably tied to the individual store. One issue I have is their loading planning. The order locations on multiple stops aren't always the most efficient for delivery. One thing to watch out for is how carefully the associate loads the order. The store in my area do not tie the bags and one store associate just shoved the bags in the car without regard for where the bag opening is. I had product falling out of bags which I had to rebag and make sure nothing rolled out to a hidden location in the car.
I don't mind doing the shop n deliver since I did overnight stocking. I get it done in no time as I know where everything is in my super center, we have a SC that serves several miles of little towns, so our pay is high vs most areas, I have no issues pulling in 7-800 a week easy
Seems like big cities have these spark issues rural areas make BANK! The reason why is because load and go doesnt get used that much is because the wm pickers dont GAF independent contractor put a little more care in thier shop.
I normally get an order with in 10 to 15 minutes of my getting back most times 5 to 10. Shopping easy they tell you exactly where to find these items. The isle, shelf and modular! Honestly, most orders are not as bad as most of his. Just send the customer a note that they tied the bags and you are on a timeline to deliver and apologize and tell the customer you will let the store know. My average Round Robin looks like this $22.45 for 11 miles, 3 drops and if I shop and deliver on average its $26 for 6 miles for 25 items. Dude I love my little market. If my area is slow. I got to the neighboring town 20n minutes away with 5 Walmarts and a Sams. But, my little area is a gem and I am getting to know the regular weekly customers and now my tips are going up!
Spark is great if you choose your orders wisely (like ALL the apps). No way on the $23 for the 15 miles (I’m in a town surrounded by rural areas). This would take me way out of my zone, so unless the pay is double the miles (approx. $2/mile) - no. Yes, I would untie the bags b/c his tip depends on following instructions (a downside of Spark is that the customer has 24 HOURS to change their tip - or to get “tip baited” which has happened to me a few times 😢). I also do DD and UE (garbage lately) so I just accept what works at the time.
I would untie the bags, I also would accept that order, and be mad at myself for taking it. I always get orders while I'm driving, it's hard to decide amongst 5 offers while driving.
I live in a small town so we have to go back to the same store, so for us it’s round trip based miles. We have 2 Walmarts and 1 neighborhood market. We do have a Sam’s but they have upside down offers.
I am a new spark driver and I am in cali. I love walmart spark driving. Going to make a spark driver TH-cam channel pretty soon. To share my tips and tricks. This order in particular, I would not have taken it.
Spark is a nightmare here. I accepted a 20 item shop and deliver. Turned out to be over 50 items and upon checking out their app messed up scanning it and I had to go to the customer service desk. I ran out of time because of perishables. They gave me 35 minutes to shop and deliver it to boot. Needless to say I'm not doing that anymore. Oh and the drop off was 11 miles away.
If I'm picking up multiple orders I get out of my vehicle and at least make sure they're putting them in the areas in which I know where the order is going to be at for faster delivery but I let them load
Other way I do when I shop and deliver is have a big reusable bag either from IKEA or aldis and I put those small bags in the reusable bags to make it easy for me
I do dash sometimes. My main gig is antiques, instruments and collectibles. Flea market is closed right now for fairs. Ugh. Yard sale at my house this weekend. EDMOND OK if your around. Gonna be epic
Oh and no One picker for the whole order at my local store. I ask the loaders if they want me to help. Most say yes but I have bins in the back of my van and put the red and white sticker for the customer on there bin their items go in. Keeps it from mixing up. I have a wagon and that makes things fast for me to get back for the next round robins.
Mileage reimbursement in my state is 0.67. Wouldn't that make a difference on taxes and the bottom line? Just trying to figure all this out to see if it's worth it.
Maybe it's just your markets, I've been to 2 different markets, my hometown of 20k people and a larger one of 100k people, both pay 25-35 an hour at about $2 a mile, you can even do other apps like Uber eats that has no acceptance requirements to slip in some extra money
Door Dash is my favorite. Walmart Spark is not accepting drivers in my area right now. I guess too crowded. Uber Eats in my area stinks because of the $ per mile ratio.
I can typically make 3-400 a month on spark, and compared to UE, DD, roadie, skip cart and favor…spark has by far the best orders. I’m barely making 100 a week on the other apps at this point. There are 12 stores in my market though, so this might be an exception to be honest
It’s OK if you live near Walmart and only take offers that put you near your home so it’s not too many miles to get home afterwards. Obviously if you’re going to do load after load then that’s not the way it works, but if you’re just going to go out and do one load while you’re out doing errands and then go home. It can work but it is tricky. you have to double the miles every time. I just got an offer 14 miles $47, that’s pretty good even when you double it but it was gonna leave me 20 miles from home so I didn’t take it. I’m in a rural area so there’s never any way to ping-pong.
I will use it as a filler and either DD or Uber eats while I have an active delivery with spark. Sometimes the deliveries are extremely late. I don’t care if they deactivate me, because the pay is garbage anyway.
How do you multi app? I tried today and I was just constantly rejecting bad orders on other apps destroying my acceptance rate while trying to pick up and drop off decent orders.
Feel like I could grab some high margins as filler offers but Spark really needs to combat bot/dupe accounts. They've already addressed it, just keep it up and ban those dupe accounts
The majority of the orders for Walmart that are not shop & deliver are sent to Roadie or UberEats. They started doing this month ago because of the fulfillment rate and meeting their one hour windows with only using Spark drivers! Their model of sending out orders one time an hour is a recipe for failure
It's almost 41 months for me now on sparks wait list but in all fairness I found an email last year saying that they had openings until I tried to log in and it said just NOT MY AREA STILL whenever I TRY TO SAY IM STILL WANTING IT and they won't even let me go to a different area anymore for work
I was on the wait-list for a long time too. The difference is that I forgot I was and signed up a second time. And now am I blacklisted because I tried signing up under two different emails. Spark is just like it's parent company, shady as f***
@phantom8157 I hate the B.S. and that might be my case for trying to change my driving area too. Who knows, I just hope they get it together, SOME PEOPLE REALLY Change their lives around for these people and take their work and money very seriously for them to keep tossing people away at the drop of a hat. The first time it was UBER for me after investing in a 30,000 car Loan just to get deactivated over a false report looking for a refund and now Spark...Keep your head up Bro
If it were like a couple of bags, I'd probably untie the bags to make the customer happy. But JB had so many haha I hope he didn't get dinged in his ratings for the tied bags (if Spark even has a ratings system, I never used it)
In my market, if you don't get out of the car, they just throw everything in the car haphazardly. All these apps are market dependent. In my Walmart zone, I have five Walmarts, four Home Depots, and two Sam's Clubs to bounce around. Doing Spark is similar to most last mile delivery where you are not paid commuting miles, so people need to stop comparing to food delivery. It's just not the same.
He's also probably in the honeymoon phase where he's getting the better orders for that area which is not a good sign that's what I consider the first several orders that you get when you first signed onto an app for deliveries is those first few days if you like a couple weeks I'll get orders and then you get hit with the worst of the worst as usual so being in a honeymoon phase Walmart spark deliveries not in it for that area
I only have 3 and Door Dash, Uber Eats, Instacart…and out of those 3 now, Door Dash wins it for me in my area, by very large margins! Im in Houston area.
Spark is great if your in a "NO TIP" Market. 19 dollar base pay for 7mile order and such Doordash/Uber is TERRIBLE/HOTGARBAGE in my area. Earn by time is only 10.50 and you have to schedule yourself 7 days prior
I’m a Spark driver and I’ve only done a couple of these types of high multiple stop routes with Spark. It’s disgustingly underpaid BS, so I refuse to do anymore. I make more money doing routes like this with Amazon Flex
I've seen people turn down $25-$30 20-30 item (all grocery) shop and deliver orders going 2-3 miles. Are they really that bad because those orders seem like no brainers.
They should do away with tipping on curbside orders, and instead charge customers a non-refundable fee that goes directly to the driver. This would make more sense than the current system.
I mean yeah I watch a bunch of youtubers on gig work, its a mystery I mean the IRS pays or lets u claim 61 cents a mile on write offs, who really wins is it the driver that take 2 dollars a mile and lets say that driver makes 50k for 25,000 miles in a yr (a fulltimer) or does the driver win makin 50k dollars driving 50k miles which is 1 dollar a mile? Who wins the end??>>>>
I would HATE shop and deliver on spark. It's why I reported my red card lost or stolen. Nothing but terrible shop and pay offers. They're rarely ever worth it.
I love that they chart the best path through the store for you than hunting around..... However, did my first shop and deliver at Sam's and those aisles are not marked!
I have 3 UE accounts(for myself and family members)......IN TORONTO I WAIT OUTSIDE CLOSING RESTAURANTS AND KEEP CANCELLING AND DECLINING THE SAME ORDER ON ALL MY PHONES....I CAN EASILY TURN A $3 ORDER INTO $47!!!!!!!! SUCKERS....🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey Mike. I actually came up with an idea for the ultimate delivery bag/kit and I believe it could become a very successful product. I’m building my first prototype and intend on getting it tested by having others try it out in exchange for their feedback. Let me know if you’re interested in knowing more and if you’re looking to get involved. Thanks for all your help and support! Keep up the great work!

Doing Spark is similar to most last mile delivery where you are not paid commuting miles, so people need to stop comparing to food delivery. It's just not the same.
Spark was more reliable when I first started. It’s gotten very glitchy with ghost orders and whatnot.
I’m digging Instacart lately. Especially the $40 orders.
What are the tips like?
The more people that get scared off the more the prices will go back up😂
Prices you may pay per offer? Or the consumer price
I only have 3 and Door Dash, Uber Eats, Instacart…and out of those 3 now, Door Dash wins it for me in my area, by very large margins! Im in Houston area.
The true mileage on recent ride share trips exceeded those reported. The miles driven were net losers, consuming car equity. They are going to far.
Our Walmart loaders want us to get out and help. I’m sure we get preferential treatment if we don’t sit in the car.
Hey Mike, I just hit plat on doordash then got a warning for violations then they banned me, 1 warning then inst ban mid dash, is that legal???
And the violation was bc they kept sending me to where there is no service and I couldn't complete order at customers house
Plz help
so, what about walmart orders through Uber Eats?
I'm only wait 5 maybe 7 minutes max between offers Dave
Spark is great if your in a "NO TIP" Market. 19 dollar base pay for 7mile order and such
Doordash/Uber is TERRIBLE/HOTGARBAGE in my area. Earn by time is only 10.50 and you have to schedule yourself 7 days prior
I live in a college town and the tips aren't great with DD. I make more per hour with Spark and deliver to more houses than apartments.
I’m a Spark driver and I’ve only done a couple of these types of high multiple stop routes with Spark. It’s disgustingly underpaid BS, so I refuse to do anymore. I make more money doing routes like this with Amazon Flex
Omg I can't stand shopping for spark 😫 love the roadie orders
At my local Walmart, I'm averaging $25 an hour. It's definitely worth my time.
I don’t take any orders more than 6 miles away
My first walmart spark shift took me through 3 states.
Walmart spark in my market won’t take anymore drivers
F shop and deliver 😂
I've seen people turn down $25-$30 20-30 item (all grocery) shop and deliver orders going 2-3 miles. Are they really that bad because those orders seem like no brainers.
I love the shop and deliver. The app makes it super easy to find everything quickly.
@@KathleenBona-bd9jmYou're correct
I see some comments that love it, and some (noted above) hate it. I just want you to do what you like and pays the most!
@@YourDriverMike I know. And we appreciate you
At my Walmart, drivers all get out and help load car
They should do away with tipping on curbside orders, and instead charge customers a non-refundable fee that goes directly to the driver. This would make more sense than the current system.
They do charge customers. I know because I use the service. I pay an additional 5 + the subscription and 10% tip.
They suck
I mean yeah I watch a bunch of youtubers on gig work, its a mystery I mean the IRS pays or lets u claim 61 cents a mile on write offs, who really wins is it the driver that take 2 dollars a mile and lets say that driver makes 50k for 25,000 miles in a yr (a fulltimer) or does the driver win makin 50k dollars driving 50k miles which is 1 dollar a mile? Who wins the end??>>>>
Bots got all the spark orders in my area
I would HATE shop and deliver on spark. It's why I reported my red card lost or stolen. Nothing but terrible shop and pay offers. They're rarely ever worth it.
Money?
Doordash fav
Nooo don’t take a $11 order that’s 8.2 miles one way
Deliver That
I do Uber X only
I actually love the shop n deliver orders
I love that they chart the best path through the store for you than hunting around..... However, did my first shop and deliver at Sam's and those aisles are not marked!
That awful wait time is why u see more spark drivers doing the in store shops in walmart instead of just waiting 45 minutes
Good point, do those just drop whenever?
Keep up the great work!
walmart spark doesn't pay good anymore
Tip baited a ton on this
Too many scammers in my market 😢
