The bulbs you used have CANBUS, so you’ll never have hyper flashing issues but they are a little more expensive. my mother has a 2023 Sorento EX model and I’ll be changing the lights out soon and the vanity lights too! Thank you for your advice and instructions!❤

Took me a bit more than seven minutes BUT I would not have attempted this without your AWESOME post! So THANKS! NOTE: the rear lamps are 1156 (Turn) AND 1157 (Stop & Tail). So you need DIFFERENT bulbs for the rear bulb changes. You can also EASILY do the REAR Side Marker lamps W5W (T10/194) while you have the tail lamp assembly removed. Just a few tips from me.

I'm surprised this worked. On my 17 sportage, it gives me an error code when I use LEDs. Which bulbs did you buy

Hi Marc, the links to the site that I bought these from is in the video description. undergroundlighting.com. Most LEDs do not draw enough current and fool the car's logic into thinking that the bulb has burnt out.

No, our Sorento has LEDs for headlights, no replacement necessary.

9 month update? I have the same car and color. Going active duty soon and would like the signals to be brighter.

Question why would the lightbulbs have to be red and not just white since the taillights are already red? Usually you choose color if the taillight is clear and only have reflecting material ??? Or was that a personal preference

Hi Hugo, per the supplier, using "white" LEDs behind a red lens tends to make the light output look pinkish. This is because incandescent bulbs are generally white/yellow in color. Using red LEDs behind a red lens ensures a good strong RED color and there is plenty of light output to overcome any diffraction by the red lens. cheers...

To confirm I need 2 pairs for the rear left and right side at $60 a pair? So $120?

So all lights use 1157 bulbs?

Can you give an update? Have you ever tried flipping the turn signal on by itself for at least 5 minutes non-stop???

    • @fixorrepairdiy4609

Not sure that I understand the second part of your question, but to my knowledge the newer generation of these lights from underground lighting are brighter and more robust. cheers

@@fixorrepairdiy4609 Just flip the turn signal or Emergency Flasher and let it be for 5 minutes to see if you get any errors...make sure the car is running during those 5 minutes
