How I Fixed A Broken Speaker On This Kia Sorento 2013

In this video I will show you how I fixed a broken speaker on this 2013 Kia Sorento. The problem was the front passenger speaker is putting out no sound. It was just buzzing. I took the door panel off and removed the speaker to see what is broken on the speaker. Watch the video and you will see what's broken and how I fixed it.

Great fix. Quick n simple. Just asking to ask why not test speaker before putting door panel back?

You can test it after the repair and before installing the door panel. I was pretty certain my fix would work since the detach cone would have caused the original problem of the speaker vibration. So I know the voice coil was not fried.

Yes the epoxy glue will work fine on paper cone.

ive got a 2012 sorento sx v6 and the speakers went out one by one and its a disaster. thing is if im in there already i might as well upgrade them but i see they have that like casing that bolts it to the door... should i just bolt the new speakers in with the bolts or do i have to use that casing the oe speakers come with?

You typically will need to use some kind of spacer for the speaker or else the speaker magnet will hit the window glass. Take a look at these spacers as it should fit your 12 Sorento. amzn.to/3u4aRAN

Sadly my speakers were literally destroyed. They had holes on them
