    It's a terrible shame over 95% of MD's don't know this and if you say ANYTHING about any type of pain you could get labeled as a pill shopper.

      I fell down stairs, tore my shouoder up, severed muscles, ligaments & tendons. The muscle in the back side of my arm was wadded up just above the backside of my elbow And my arm was Out Of Socket. I was outside of the city with no phone, all alone. By the time I recovered enough to get back to my doctor and went in. After I told them what had happened, the FIRST thing they said to me was "You're Not here for Pain Medicine are you?" I said hell, that would be a start.
      I got 20 pills that made me sick. The Doctor did not touch me. I finally got in to see an orthopedic surgeon, got an mri which showed all the damage. The doctor called and said your insurance said you dont have insurance. I called to make my 4th insurance premium payment for the year and they said, we dont show you have insurance. I said well, I paid it. I called the bank. Aetna had put all 3 premiums back in my bank account after getting the bill for the MRi showing I Had to have surgery. I finally got a letter saying they would pay for it if I had had the syrgery before the date I received that letter. How do you have a retroactive surgery?
      My arm was Out Of Socket for 2½ years before it jammed back in one day. No one helped me. I can not have anything for pain.
      I would have been better off going to a Country Veterinarian. I had zero surgery, zero pain meds. It ruined my life! Im still in pain. Aetna ruined my life.

    I went for 1 1/2 years to doctors (yes, I said Doctors with an “s”) NEVER checking my Vitamin D level and I was finally told it’s Rheumatoid Arthritis. I said, WHAT? How did you come to that conclusion? I felt I did not receive any real answer as to why this conclusion, felt like it was a guess.
    I was told I needed to get on Methotrexate. I said, HOLD UP! After 1.5 yrs you all of a sudden come to this conclusion? I feel that you’re guessing. I need to do some research, maybe get a second opinion. The doc then said, YOU need to take this serious. I replied, I AM!!! Doctor then said, if you don’t start treating this, you will be in a wheelchair within 10 years. OMG, you have got to be kidding me who says that to someone? I replied, I went this long (1 1/2 yrs and six doctors) we can wait another month or so until I get second opinion and do my own research.
    I didn’t take the methotrexate…., I researched called my general practitioner, at the appointment I asked, did anybody ever check my Vitamin D level? Because thinking back I am seeing a pattern of my aches and pains, stiffness, etc. it starts around Nov and by January/February/March I am at my worse and then April/May feeling a little better and then the summer months, I think maybe it’s all in my head and I am nuts.
    I then told the Doc I believe I am at my BEST in the summer because of the sun.
    He checked my Vitamin D level, guess what, it was LOW, REAL LOW and that was in the beginning of June.
    I got myself on Vitamin D3 and never looked back, get levels checked just to make sure I am taking enough or not too much. I am healed!
    One last thing, it was 10 years ago this month I was told if you don’t take methotrexate you will be in a wheelchair in 10 years…, FYI, I am not even close to that happening, LOL. My Birthday is next week, 61 years young!
    Thank you Doctor Berry for your informative channel!

      I live in FL and am in health care. The number of people with low but D in FL astounds me since we are the sunshine state. I’ve never had low D. I’m always outside and I do take supplements along with magnesium and calcium. High grade fish oil 2400 mg with CoQ10. Stay active. Do not sit in front of a tv all day. It’s dangerous to your body.
      Today I purchased a rebounder. Can’t wait to start. Barbara has a video on using a rebounder. (Mini trampoline). If you buy a rebounder make sure it has bungie not springs.

      I’m 59 and have suffered with all these symptoms mentioned for well over ten years !!!!!
      After being diagnosed with Moderate Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and questionable higher Blood Pressure & Blood Sugars, I only recently just checked my latest blood level numbers, plus the 5yrs prior. I was never told anything regarding said, but discovered, while still in “The Normal Range”,… that my Ferritin & Vitamin D levels were way in the low bottom
      end of our scale here in Ottawa Canada 😚
      So I was more than pissed/annoyed, and have since started supplementation for both…
      After only one month, I already feel a good 75% stronger/better 🤗
      So my Question to y’all is:
      What dose of Vitamin D3k2 is acceptable without being toxic, and how long before I could just coast @ a daily lower dose !?

I do catch a lot of comments from people about how I'm going to get skin cancer, the sun is not good for you, you are going to regret being in the sun so much and the list goes on. This comes from people, my age, who spend their day sitting in front of a TV 18 hours a day, can't ride a bike, can't snowboard black diamonds at age 70 and many who look like they will croak before the end of the day. I suddenly started having pretty bad fatigue over a week ago. I have hypothyroidism already and was thinking it was out of range or maybe low on iron. Got blood test back today and vitamin D was 19! I sat in sun today about 12 minutes and drank milk. Dr hasn’t got back with me yet. Last time it was low, she prescribed those strong vitamin D. Can’t wait to take it because I’m tired of having no energy. My thyroid and iron was normal by the way.

      Why would you wait? Just go get some D3 at the drugstore right away. You don’t need a doctor’s prescription. Be sure to take K2 and magnesium as well, in order for the D3 to work properly.

    I eat cod liver in a tin , 120 grams . It comes with cod liver oil , is not rancid . It’s made in Island , has lots of Vit D . The Nordic people were eating codliver for centuries and suffered no Vit D problems. One tin lasts 2 days, it is also high in omega 3 …. My mum is 96 and was eating the same codliver from Island for several decades , every day …no dementia whatsoever. Still doing crossword puzzle.

It was amazing. I’m a physician and I realize Vitaminosis can occur with the fat soluble vitamins, but it really was an invigorating night and day difference. Sometimes the body doesn't store what it doesn't need. Fair-skinned people in cold climates usually don't need vitamin D supplements.
    Too much of a vitamin can often cause similar symptoms to a deficiency. We should perhaps tread with caution when it comes to supplements.

    Dr. Ken Berry This is only my opinion and it is what I do ! A good way to know if you are low in vitamin D is to take your PH level with PH paper that you can buy at a health food store but it is not available at drug stores! Why don't drug stores sell it ? Why does OHIP ( in Canada ) not cover the cost of the vitamin D test? If your PH is around 7.2 that is good and if it is 6.2 or less you have a serious illness or are developing one! If your PH is good that also means your immune system is good as well ! If I take my PH level a few days in a row and it is 6.5 I use another method to get it to go up as much as 3/4 of a point overnight ! When I do this method it is more like a jump start and I only do that once in a while ! My PH level is stable now and it is always around 7.0 or higher! I take vitamin D3 and calcium with magnesium but 2 parts calcium to one part magnesium is VERY IMPORTANT ! I would not take one without the other! Coral calcium is best but only if it is marine harvested! Unlike drugs that have bad side effects my only side effect has been good health ! I am not a Doctor but I have spent about 5000 hours doing my own research to find out what I think is the answer to good health ! Cancer does not scare me ! I actually think a virus can be much harder to get rid of! If I had an extra 10 million dollars I would do a case study on what I believe to be true! There is a lot more but I don't want to write a book !

    • @jewelofwisdom8279
      @jewelofwisdom8279 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, makes sense! What coral calcium
      brand do you recommend and although you state it is preferred, what brand of supplements do you find best?

    • @ronhammar1154
      @ronhammar1154 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jewelofwisdom8279 Any coral calcium is good as long as it is MARINE HARVESTED ! I just use the Walmart Jamesons or there no name brand of Calcium with magnessium for around $10 a bottle of pills and I use it to help maintain my PH level ! The goal in my opinion is to achieve a stable PH level that may vary week to week from say 6.5 to an 8.0 ! I would not let my PH level go over 8.0 for more than a couple days but I dont consider that to be a problem and if you have a stuborn virus it could be a good thing but not longer than a couple days ! It can take months to get your PH level up but once you are stable you should check your PH maybe once a month ! I am not a Doctor or a health food expert and I only know what works for me ! I always take my PH in the morning before I have anything to eat or drink ! If you are trying to get your PH level higher you need to take your PH every morning for the first couple weeks to monitor how it is doing ! Maybe once every couple weeks for a month and then once you are stable maybe once a month ! Hope this helps !

    Hold on. My doctors told me we do not actually feel pain in the bones?! I complained of a deep pain in my legs, feeling like my bones were going to explode, and asked if this was related to my bone density level being a bit low (proven with a dexa scan). They said unless I fractured something it’s not actually a pain in the bones, it’s only muscular. And that conditions like osteopenia and osteoporosis do not feel painful except in the joints and surrounding muscles. True?

I work inside all day almost every day, I have the fatigue. I told my primary doctor, they did blood work and saw nothing wrong. They didn't even test my vitamin D levels. Just last week I requested it be done and they go oh yeah we can add that. I'm at 28, which seems low, who knows what I was at when I fractured the rib. Just blows my mind how many in the medical field I've come across and none said to check my vitamin D levels. One said go to a bone density doctor. I'm gonna have to get another pcp.
