My Doctor told me to take magnesium with my vitamin D. My Doctor actually takes care of his patients and I am positive there are more out there like him.
Vitamin D3 and magnesium is not enough, you also need vitamin K2 (not K1) to store the calcium into the bones. K2 removes calcium from the blood into the bones, therefore K2 is very important for cardiovascular health.
@@bettydoughtery3920Thank you for mentioning a name brand that I can buy because I’ve been using Dr. Berg’s D3 K2 brand for years. I want to switch from that to a new one, because I’ve heard, too many times now, that Beeg is not who I thought he was! I’ll leave it at that. Blessings 😊
My doctor doesn’t know sh!t about vitamins and minerals! I’m on my own and I know this balance well through extensive research! I love to hear videos like this!
They only have two weeks training on vitamins. They are paid by the medical model to hand out medication. Big pharmaceutical companies rely on it hence the medical model is science backed by big money . That’s why they push vaccines. There is no funding for Holistic medicine. Doctors today treat the symptom NOT the cause.
I'm 77 and take 5,000 units of D3 w/ K2 -- finally got my reading up to 50 instead of 30. ( K2 balances the Calcium and helps it transfer to bones instead of buildup in tissues and arteries as plack
Thank you!!! Years ago, I had a doctor put me on very high doses of Vitamin D3 (50,000 for 2 weeks) and it made me feel very sick. I researched and read about the importance of magnesium in regard to Vit D so I took magnesium and felt much, much better! I was excited to make this find and told the doctor who blew me off and told me it was just a coincidence and magnesium has nothing to do with Vit D - even though I had the research to show him. It was very frustrating!
I heard that you must take K2 with Vitamin D in order for it to be directed to the proper parts of the body. I also heard that vitamin D is fat soluble and should be taken with something containing fat. The omissions and contradictions in this field are astonishing. Btw: Apparently it must be Magnesium Citrate that you take.

Omg i went in to my doctor with all these symptoms. My husband mentioned magnesium and to check. She said your not a doctor. I still dont know. But listening to you i know exactly what is wrong. Years ago i went to hospital and they said my magnesium was very low and potassium. So i felt great when i was on them both. I was taken off because she said i was fine. I went down hill since then. Im so happy to have seen this video. I have had so much stress and doctors dont care anymore.
I was unwell some time ago (back problem), and was bedridden for a month. Depression set in as I lay in the dark bedroom with no will to live. A subsequent blood test revealed a complete deficiency in the D vitamin (all from being 'in the dark'). Needless to say, once a course of D3 was introduced my mood improved. Pity it didn't repair my back but who am I to complain? D3 Rules.
The sun uplifts your mood as it stimulates things like melatonin in your brain and that helps you get better sleep at night. Take the D3 but try to get out in the sun for at least 30 minutes or more, no sunscreen or sunglasses as all that repels the benefits of sun. I make it a point to go outside everyday when the sun is out it really helps the overall health and mood.
. @JCX-9 Many thanks. I've learned this the hard way. Never thought something as simple as this would work. As a footnote to ALL suffering from depression, drag yourself to the light at all costs, if even as JCX-9 say's for 30 minutes a day. If you can't make it outside, open a window towards the sun's source and bask in it for a while. The sun doesn't even have to be shining. Those rays are still getting through. All old-folks, listen up! 30 minutes minimum will do wonders.
Make sure you're drinking enough water according to your weight. Plus b12 with d3 . Citrate magnesium with citrate potassium, one does not work without the other. The same thing happened to me (lower back) couldn't get up the pain unbearable 🙏🏽

Will try to make this as short and possible. My blood test showed I was deficient in vitamin D. So my dr recommended VD3 2,000 iu everyday but it gave me headaches! I then reduce to 1,000 iu everyday but it made me feel sleepy. Again, I which to every other day but kept the same iu of 1,000 and I stuck with it. It took away my lower back pain, boost my energy, improved my immune systems, no more seasonal illnesses and no pain or aches of any kind. Dr’s don’t always know for sure how much each patient’s body can handle the med dose or vitamin does so always remember to pay attention to your body when taking any meds or vitamins and ask for side affects. At the beginning, I struggled getting off my bed. I had to roll onto my stomach then turn my body so my feet are on the floor then slither off the edge of bed and use my hands to push due to severe pain on my lower back. But after taking vitamin d3 of 1,000 iu every other day for a month no side eefects my health improve a lot. Now after 10 years and my kids are now teens ….they say I have the energy of a high schooler. Vitamin d3 feels like a life pill to me. But it can also be harmful if the individual lacks self awareness when consuming them. If you are like me, very self aware you will reap the benefits of vitaminD3. And also, I noticed it prevents hair thinning/hair loss and makes teeth also healthy and strong.

I seriously doubt that taking 2000IU can make you feel bad. IMO, it's not even close to the range that is required to make any impact at all. Taking less than 6-8000IUs is probably not going to help much. You need to check your D levels in a lab to verify. Your feeling can be biased as you can't know for sure what caused those headaches. You could be doing multiple things, making multiple adjustments in life (diet, stress, physical activity, other supplements). Also, taking D3 by itself without getting enough K2, Magnesium, Zinc (either from food or pills), won't do much good at all.

Over the past few years, I've been following your guidance . All my health issues are reversed. I received a perfect health report from my doctor. Except to cut back on my vitamin D.
My doctor wanted me to cut back on my Vitamin D also.! But the recommended daily requirement for Vitamin D is far too low so I'm not gonna pay too much attention to my doctor's opinion on this subject!
. Please be aware that taking too much vitamin D3 can also make calcium acumulate and deposit in the body in wrong places. For calcium to be redirected to bones and teeth where it should be, it is recommended to also take vitamin K2 when you take D3. But you need to be careful about this too: some people can't take K2, for example those who are on blood thinners, because K2 also plays a part in correct blood coagulation. It is an intricate topic.
I would only take it if you need it. Tin tuna ,salmon, sunlight should be adequate. I took vitamin D for a year as I was incapable of leaving my house to get any sunlight due to severe medical problems. Now I'm back in the sun and feeling great. Just monitor with blood test occasionally. 😊

How did you decide on the glycine version of magnesium vs carbonate or citrate? Do you take calcium/magnesium/zinc combo, or only magnesium with your vitamin D? Hope you reply, thanks
I like to study what forms on how to take it, Glycine is an amino acid. Citrate would be another good choice it concentrates more into the system. Carbonate I try to avoid because it is made from lime rock. Magnesium oxide is hard to absorb into the system.
Thank you for sharing this. Pathetic how so many primary care physicians don't know or care about the importance of Vitamin D and Magnesium. MDs and pharmacists are Big Pharma salesmen that is why on glossy magazines they are always portrayed as "the most trusted professionals". GREAT video! I am one of those people with EXTREMELY LOW vitamin D. Regardless of how much I supplement and also include Magnesium, my level is always around 13.1 to 13.2. My system is a puzzle, I have extremely high B12 and I eat a plant based diet, with nothing processed. I grow and make 99% of what I eat.
High B12 can be actually be a sign of low B12 levels. You would need to check methlymalonic acid and active B12. Also homocysteine is a good test as well. Consider malabsorption if both vitamin D and B12 are low.

Years ago i went to hospital and they said my magnesium was very low and potassium. So i felt great when i was on them both. I was taken off because she said i was fine. I went down hill since then. Im so happy to have seen this video. I have had so much stress and doctors dont care anymore.
Look up Selenium, a trace necessary supplement of 200 mcg muti functions in the body. And use Magnesium Citrate, not Oxide.
Your right they know the answers but it doesn't line up with chemotherapy so they won't speak the truth

Also, are there any other combinations other than D3+K2 and magnesium?

You have enlightened my knowledge about vitamin D3, I had been taking for a while, but did not understand that I needed the magnesium as well, may you continue to enlighten humanity with the true knowledge of health. Be bkessed.

@@olahashem31 no only vitamin D3 gels. I always make sure to include lots of veggies in all my meals and fruits. I do allow myself to have chocolates and pies on special occasions and when I have cravings. When I feel I have eaten too much junk, I juice celery and drank 4 oz cup once a day in the morning for few days and that’s it. I also drink a lot of water, sometimes vita coco but no sodas at all
I seriously doubt that taking 2000IU can make you feel bad.
Also, taking D3 by itself without getting enough K2, Magnesium, Zinc (either from food or pills), won't do much good at all.

. Please be aware that taking too much vitamin D3 can also make calcium acumulate and deposit in the body in wrong places.
For calcium to be redirected to bones and teeth where it should be, it is recommended to also take vitamin K2 when you take D3.

God bless you, Dr. Mandell! I just said a prayer for you.
🙏❤️
Dr Mandell you are the
absolute best!! Thanks 💕
I will take more each day now.
Magnesium glycinate..and vit b6 and D. This is exciting..I know I am healing! Thank you Dear Dr Mandell. God is with us!
How about taking K2 with the Vitamin D3? You need that also.
also only take b6 during the day
Vitamin C and zinc with that too!
Just tested my vita D for the first time, at my request...only 22. Doctors should request these tests.
One of the only Vitamins that you really must have everyday and at all times. Thank you for this important information Dr Mandell. God Bless you....
Off topic but you changed my life when you spoke about oil of oregano. No more sinus congestion. I am forever grateful ✌🏾❤️
Hey cutie pie 😍
How to het rid of sinuses?? Help me

Yes doctor, please keep your wisdom coming 👍😁❤️ thank you God bless you
You are so welcome
I have been on slow mag since I started high blood pressure medication per my little county doctor God rest his soul. Thank you for sharing this information with us ❤
Have you done a deep dive as to WHY you have high blood pressure? I would highly recommend you do that. And you will see you DONT need blood pressure meds❤
Correct !
There are so many reasons for high blood pressure..who could narrow it down! Especially with white coat syndrome!
@@plzsavethebeez743 my point exactly. The white coats dilute the truth. They prescribe, they don't get down to the WHY!! Inflammation is the WHY for high blood pressure
Doctor, equally important is vitamin K2. There’s a very good book called “The Miraculous Cures and benefits of Vit D that doctors don’t know”. Magnesium and K2 are mandatory, but also says zinc and boron are important too. Thanks for your videos. I’m a subscriber and appreciate everything you do.
Yes, they are! 100 percent agreement.
Where do you get the book?
Can you take 1 capsule of vitamin D3 +K2 and 1 capsule of magnesium and then drink them both together at the same time? Or should there be an interval between them (D3+K2 and magnesium)?
Also, are there any other combinations other than D3+K2 and magnesium?
Thanks! ❤
Whats the real name of the book. Cant find what youve typed
@@troygallagher9242 apologies. It’s called “The Miraculous Cure for and prevention of all diseases what doctors never learned”. By Jeff T. Bowles. I bought it on Kindle but I wasn’t crazy about the format so I listened to it on Audible. Best book ever.
I stopped taking vitamin D3 and magnesium until today, before I even came across this video. I stopped taking it over a year ago but friends kept bothering me to start taking it again, one of them being a nurse. I had no idea it was important to take vitamin D3 with magnesium. Now I know.
Vital and especially as we get older.
don't forget to take Vitamin K2 too
I listen,I learn. Thank you Doc~you are going out of your way to help us. How humble and kind. We need this information
Dr. Mandell this is what I have been looking for, my muscles in my hip and legs were sore I added magnesium glycine and I started taking 5,000 it vitamin D3 and the soreness went out of my leg and hip muscles so I looked up magnesium deficiencies, and muscle soreness is one of them. Thanks for this advice.
I take zinc acetate.
Thank you for sharing this. Pathetic how so many primary care physicians don't know or care about the importance of Vitamin D and Magnesium. My last PCP literally refused to check my Vitamin D levels and said they were "worthless" according to the guidelines he follows. Said he follows "the science". Accused me of doing "internet research".
Fired him on the spot. It's a sad state of US health care when this is the norm...
Why did some say your not a real doctor.rosie
Thank you I believe in you.rosie.
Bravo to you... screw those narcissist Dr.s - yeah, I know they HaTE us checking things out...... they forget I guess that WE are Paying THEIR BILLS.... I do the same, and have been asked not to return when I call them out.
LOL. I was talking to a newly graduated MD about the ingredients in a vaccine. The first thing he did in response was to check on his phone "Wicked" pedia! Imagine that. Nutrition is not taught in medical schools. A semester of biochemistry might touch on nutrition, but that's about it. MDs and pharmacists are Big Pharma salesmen that is why on glossy magazines they are always portrayed as "the most trusted professionals". Before anything else, they learn "a pill for every disease", making you a golden goose for the system from cradle to grave. I'd like to say, pay attention to your diet because you really are what you eat, but just about everything is GMO and poisoned. There is a patented technology developed by Dr. Shiva which can actually tell you what everything you put into your body will do to you, showing its effect and the molecular pathways affected. It is precise, but the powers that be are shadow-banning the technology and the person, maligning and marginalizing everything about him. Watch Shatter the Swarm and wake up from your stupor.
I have a functional doctor but I don’t get these explanations, even shorter. She put me on 4000 in of vit d. I’ll check if there is magnesium in that. I’m not taking the prescribed amount. Doing my own research and you are a major source. So thank you
Thank you Doctor! You have taught me more than any of the doctors I have seen during my life.
Ohhhh I do love how Dr. Mandel explains things such that WE can understand!!❤❤ what a true blessing you are to us sir!!
"you"
Cheers doctor. Recently diagnosed as having vitamin d deficiency and suffering from extrene fatigue, muscle pain and tiredness. I'm now taking magnesium along with d3.
GREAT video! I am one of those people with EXTREMELY LOW vitamin D. Regardless of how much I supplement and also include Magnesium, my level is always around 13.1 to 13.2.
Additionally I do not suffer from ANY of the symptoms of low vitamin D. None at all. Is a matter of fact, I am the opposite in all categories.
I had enormous fatigue after work.
Found out I was deficient in vit. D - 20ng/mL.
Started taking 4000 IU D3/day 2 weeks ago and feel great.
Good morning Friend, I take dayly at noon D3 25 mcg. 1000tu. And 10pm I take magnesium 500mg . Iam 74 Year's young.. my doctor took me of all medications one year ago. And I feeling excellent. You are a big help for making decisions thank you ❤️❤️❤️

What was the process of coming off
25 Mcg is 100 IU. You must have taken 250 Mcg of Vitamin D3 which is equivalent to 1000 IU. With respect Sir. No offense
Simple explanation for vit d to work we need magnesium, vit k, calcium to work and get absorbed in body. Got it.
The D3-K2 connection plus magnesium re Covid has helped many. I went on the D3 route 2 years prior to Covid - glad I did!
Oh, I'm so happy that I heard this message. I was prescribed vitamin D3+Omega3. 2 wks ago at ER, PAIN found put Kidney issues. Now I realize all that stuff is probably contributing to my ailments.
Prior to hearing this I kept thinking I didn't have those issues and all of a sudden I'm in pain. Waiting for the Neurologist appt. Starting to eat more foods with Magnesium. Thank you so much for your truthful segments.
Good morning Dr Mandell and all your viewers,Thank u for all your information. I enjoyed every health tips.

Summary:
Make sure to take magnesium with vitamin D3….and K2!
I take 6000iu D3, 100 mg K2 and 1000 mg of mag glycinate daily. You can also take just a weekly dosage. Just adjust your totals.
Phosphate or Citrate?
GREAT ADVICE!👍🏼
@@Unique3160Citrate is ok but magnesium glycinate is optimum
If one is on on High blood pressure medication, caution on taking vitamin K. Research it.
Thank you for the summary.
