And the 2 shall become one. I have seen in my own marriage that it only takes one person to surrender and submit to Christ to start seeing changes in your marriage because...................we have become one in marriage!
Diana Willis I believe so absolutely too based on what the Holy Spirit has taught me over the last two years. My question however is, does this apply to relationships where the two were unaware of this before marriage or can a believer marry someone who isn't submitted to Christ and with quiet reverence for the Lord and their spouse win the other over?
If the latter be the case, how can the believing party feel loved or experience love while they wait on the Holy Spirit to transform their spouse?
My default answer would be that one observe the admonition of 2timothy 3:1-5 and have nothing to do with unbelievers because even when you're both believers, there'll be trials that will test your reliance upon God but at least you'll have the comfort that you can get in touch with God's Spirit to refresh you and minister to your spouse.
