@ose cardoso Usually when the EGR solenoid goes bad you'll experience a surge when the vehicle is in gear and stopped. If the vehicle is shutting off, you may want to check the electrical connections and see if all of the battery and electrical contacts are secure and clean. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
I am aware this video is from 2014 but I was wondering if a faulty EGR control solenoid valve would result in a check engine light (CEL)? I have a 2 wire plug, 12 volts in one side and about 5 volts on the other side of the plug. Thanks.
I'm perplexed, I have the repeating (after erased numerous times, but no symptoms) P1400 code for 1998 Nissan Pathfinder 3.3, 164,000 miles. It was throwing this same code with an older motor, and still is with replacement motor installed last week. I have 12v at the wire plug when it's unplugged and key on. 12v applied with jumper wires actuates the solenoid on both its leads. But, when I have a helper turn key to on I cannot hear or feel the solenoid activating. Is this solenoid controlled by ECU giving it a ground? Or how?
Great video...sadly when i clicked to order the egr valve at the link below..the search box or function on the website...couldnt find "egr valve" or "EGR control solenoid valve" told me no match for my 2000 nissan...then to try and find the part i clicked on fuel/emmisions then exhaust and still could not get the part..to pop up...Sorry to say it was enouigh to frustrate me to leaqve the site and order somewhere else...check it out and make better
i had the p1400 pop up recently it was never there. I do have a p1105 map baro solenoid valve that i cant get rid of. i also just replaced my egr valve. the map/ solenoid and egrc/ solenoid look identical. What could be the problem?
I replaced mine in a 98 Nissan Altima and now there is smoke or the smell of burning oil. So I replaced everything that was with the EGR vacuum system and its worst. Any idea what the cause is? Wasn't doing it till I replaced everything
hey I have a 98 Nissan altima I don't know what wrong it will shift in 1 gears then I'll give it a little gas then it will get in second then it will not go in to 3 or 4 call the egr control solenoid valve be the problem
I have a 97 Altima. No check engine light but the car idles ruff and stalls. I’ve replaced everything having to do with the EGR. I’ve replaced the temp sensor. Transducer valve. Fuel pump. MAF sensor. I was told that I possibly might need to look into changing my Idle Air Control valve. Can anyone help? Once again the check engine light does NOT come on.
The heat is very hot its like a shortcircuit inside the solenoid. My egr valve is far from the solenoid not like other egr valve and solenoid are together. Thnks

Hey, does anyone know out there if this valve has any connections with getting a p0400 code in a 99 nissan altima?

+1970PMD Thanks for watching! Yes a faulty EGR solenoid could result in a check engine light.

Did you ever figure it out? Same issue here
Intake gasket 😜
Is it normal that my egr solenoid gets very hot? Thank you
It may get a little warm depending where on the motor it's located.

Is that what a swirl control valve control solenoid valve is?
is this the same for 1998 Nissan Maxima?
Thank you for watching. The process may be a little different. We will keep this vehicle in mind for future videos.

i want to know too. i have the same problem as jose cardoso
excuse you do not know where this pcv valve??
That's a purge valve. Real machanic
Does this part cause the car to turn off while running?
