This game is such a breath of fresh air in the world of sanitised, kid-friendly, publisher-pandering games. They really went all out and had fun with it, and it's a great fun game as a result

thanks to the fact that this game doesn't need to stay squeaky clean and family friendly like Pokemon. They're completely free to just go wild with the entries and text and everything.
Its so refreshing to see a game that doesn't take it's self too seriously and just goes ham with the humour and fun.
Even do... there are some pokedex entry's that are very questionable to be family friendly...
I am convinced that in pokemon, humans are just the larval form of ghost pokemon.
I mean Drifblim is a child abduction artist and Palossand's dex entry in Moon is "Buried beneath the castle are masses of dried-up bones from those whose vitality it has drained."
So they're more just open about the warcrimes.
I couldn’t give less of a shit about all the chat gtp, and ai controversy surrounding this game. As long as the game is good and it’s fun thats all that matters.

These type of people are way worse than cheaters. Cheaters ruin a match these types of people ruin a game. Nothing but malicious intent coming from the people that are posting "evidence" of the pals being carbon copies of pokemon. We need to laugh at these people. This level of deception is not only dangerous it shouldn't be tolerated at all.

you missed out on incineram noct's entry, which is actually worse than vanillaram's if you can believe it. specifically targets new born pals instead of just regular pals to bring back to its lair.
There is zero evidence of ai use, everyone saying it is is unfortunately a seething developer who has never had a game as popular as Palworld and or a Nintendo rider i call them.
This doe NOT mean some of the designs are stolen and or parody/ related to other material. (this is being currently discussed if its parody or a rip)
It is most likely not a rip as the meshes of the models are not the same.

@@melonsauce1474 the ones people compare the most are Boltmane and Luxray even though Boltmane's body structure resembles a lion, Also Azurobe and Serperior even though it's a sea serpent/eel like creature also it mofo think drawing different body snakes is so easy then gamefreak wouldn't have copy pasted the same body shape for Dragonair, Milotic and Serperior, also also lycanroc and Direhowl comparison is so bogus.
Could be used as references or concept (which what ai should be used for) either for pals idea or in game texts. I mean obviously the lore right now is too random, like i still cant comprehend the concept. But since it's still early access, the lore aspect could still be polished.

Killamora (I think that’s what it’s called?) is also extremely messed up. When I first saw it I thought “aw, that’s a cute little espurr-eyed jellyfish thing! It’d make for a good hat!”
I retract that statement as I have since learned that it is in fact a very bad hat. It latches onto your head and sucks your organs out. Only the organs, nothing else, and there are “mummies” of Pals that were victims of this, just empty organ-less husks. Wonderful. Still looks cute imo.

Jormuntide and its Ignis counterpart were badass legends about people thrown into Whirlpools and Volcanoes then came back as a Dragon seeking "Justice".
I actually wouldnt mind having a Maraith take a liking to me. Why you ask? well It says near death and not that you will die. That could mean that 1. something is going to attack you or is hunting you. So i would leave the location i'm at currently. 2. You might have something like cancer/something in your body so it would be a good warning sign to go check in at hospital. Which works with with .1 leaving the current location anyway. Another possibility is that you're going to die from a natural disaster soon. And the best way to avoid that? yep leave the location again. It's like Absol. It appears before danger strikes to warn others and it just became misunderstood because it's always around when disasters happenedpeople came up with the crazy theory that Absol was the one bringing danger. The Maraith isn't hurting you, it took a liking to you so you could use it like a cat or dog to comfort you if you do discover that you have something like cancer and you are stuck in the hospital
Another option is if you are committing grave amounts of bodily injury to many others. Maraith makes a good mount to ride around spearing things with.
Pokemon made a certain type of story for Mewtwo, therefore, another creature is not allowed to have anything remotely similar.

There are legends that two humans turned into pals after being killed for a crime they didn't do, Jormuntide and the second version.
I wonder how they'll continue the story. Read all the memos so far and even PETA killing pals to protect pals makes sense... kind of.

Ive heard those words repeated so many times recently: "Palworld is a game...."
Descriptions of pokemon from the first 2 Gens were pretty messed up too.
In Gen 2, the description for Slowpoke was that people poached it's tails to eat as a delicacy and were sold for high prices. There was an early quest surrounding that concept.
In Gen 1, the description for Drowzee was that he would come by someone sleeping out in a field or a tent and literally eat that person's dreams, leaving only nightmares behind. I think Ghastly and Haunter's descriptions heavily implied they were the spirits of dead pokemon in Gen 1, not to mention Ghastlies actually demonically possessed the shrine maidens in Pokemon Tower, and you had to excercise them by defeating the Pokemon possessing them.
There's a lot more messed up bios for pokemon in the first couple Gens, but Nintendo lightened up on the bios starting in Gen 3 when they made ice-cream and garbage-bag (literal trash) pokemon.
Each time I hear Pokémon I rage I am now in a soundproof room with 2 hammers and a lot of stuff to destroy

There's PLENTY of more like this in the pokédex, they may not explicitly say it was murdered or shot etc. but it is very dark and cruel. So if anything this is just on par with pokémon tbh.
meanwhile pokedex entries, mostly ghost pokemon : "They want to kill you by doing this :D" so meh it's even

To be fair, there are plenty of Pokedex entries that are just as dark. There's absolutely no way that the Pokemon world would be anywhere near as easy going as it is portrayed in the anime series and games. The peoples of the Pokemon world most definitely would need to be able to defend themselves.

You can find various journals in game. Few of them speaks about Victor - researcher (and last "boss") who tried to create new type of Pal, but result was always very unstable and ended in failure. One day his experiment was success - he has created Shadowbeak, but Victor didn't know why, as any attempts to replicate process haven't repeat outcome. Last line of his journal mentions one small thing - his lab assistant disappeared when Shadowbeak has been created. Few other journals and pal entries hint at strange connection between pals and humans like both having same ancestor.
