- Did you know that the creatures we call Pals are actually part human? I can prove it! Today we're digging into fun and exciting lore of Palworld that's full of ancient secrets, cults and crazy scientists. In a world where the ancients are no more, we are only left with their ruins and their powerful pal creations. But is the story of Palpagos Island darker than we know? Let's find out!

Turning humans into creatures isn't unusual in some Japanese media. It's better than how in Pokémon lore, humans canonically are just failed Pokémon that didn't evolve right to have powers like the others.
Yet ash can carry a cosmoem and we have Sabrina using psychic powers. Ash, Riley and Aaron being users of aura. I think the aura guardians and weilders of aura are related to lucario and have that blood in their genes and that’s why they can use aura.That’s my theory
There’s also a book in the gen 4 library that brings up that Pokémon and humans married each other long ago. And in one of the shadow Pokémon games we have an old lady her calls her mighteyena her boyfriend

Wdym failed? It's called divergence, and it can happen early enough that there's no need to have specific types of or degrees of adaptations made for the niche a species has. Also, regular animals exist too. Think someone higher up at the pokemon company made a comment about how pokemon specifically out competed life as we know it, but idr where it was said. There's also no indication that a lot of what we know in-world is even factual, since a lot of it seems to be conjecture and gap filling from the character's themselves. The arceus stuff itself might only be about half right

The fact that palworld is actually "The island of dr. Moreau" coated in a pokemon aesthetic is quite possibly the coolest idea for a game like this i can think of. Wow
Being a scientist makes a lot of sense. We don’t have manuals in the game to read to make all this stuff. He already knows how to make them
We technically do, ever been to the wildlife reserves? You can find tech manuels there
it makes sense the tech tree in that case would be akin to recovering lost memories, piece by piece.
There's also something extremely strange about the island and the fog around it. Some of the entries seem to imply that the humans that end up on the island have little similarity to each other. They are so different and the differences are so inconsistent that it seems they come from different periods of time. Perhaps even different realities.
This is also supported by the max level Reincarnated Guy. He is a textbook example of an isekai, he was a cop that got hit by a truck and woke up on the Islands. Now he has special powers. This seems to suggest that the Islands exists adjacent to multiple worlds, and humans from various worlds and times end up there. That is why ancient ruins exists with mafia syndicates, military forces and shipping containers owned by a Pal themed company.
It also explains why the Islands and the massive tree cannot be seen from the outside. Even the thickest tallest fog cannot hide a tree that massive. Not for long. Something else is keeping it hidden. Perhaps that something is a complete separation from the outside world, or worlds.
I was thinking about this. In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil (the world tree) and it's branches are kind of layers of different worlds. Part of me wonders if it's not the same woth the giant tree here. We didn't appear from elsewhere in this plane, but another similar.
this just made me think of the Rifts trpg. Maybe the area the palworld setting is in is like the Bermuda triangle?

They patch it they removed the used of weapon because it's too strong it can end the game very quick specialy the minigunner
I've seen a palworld lore video before but the video is 20 minutes long. This video tells the same one and more to the point, loved it.
I tried looking for 'palworld lore' fully expecting I'd find a nothing burger. I probably found the same vid as the one you're referencing. That video was too convoluted for such a basic story, I quit around 7 minutes. Kudos to this creator for keeping it short, simple and comprehensive.

I actually had that theory before. But i never realized how big the evidence actually is.
The unreleased Pal _"Dark Mutant"_ is also a big indicator.
I think the Alex/Axel connection is a red herring.
I don't know if you've seen Full Metal Alchemist but Alex was likely a component to creating Shadow beak.
I think they're probably trying to set up an actual "pal world" since the map is essentially a country size. They might make other countries with each one progressively more advanced and we (the player) landed on the most primitive one.

I would say the Tree is the center and there would be how many possible country's surrounding the said tree which may result us in getting a ride on that one big whale pal we saw in the trailer maybe? Since I do not see any other way to reach them if they are too far to fly on a single pal or swim to them.

I really wanna know the lore about the 5 legendarie pals, jetragon, paladius, necromus, frostalion and frostalion noct. Looking at jetragon and frostalions bio, it looks like they have a huge lore to the game and palagolaps island.

From what I know, especially as someone deeply fascinated in various lore across stories, and considering everyone's comparing this to Pokemon, it's fascinating has it's own variation of this. In generation 4, in the Canalave Library found in the Sinnoh region, it speaks of a time in the beginning of the world of Pokemon where Pokemon traveled by day in the forms we recognize, and slept as humans until the sun arose again. This implied to show that there was, or is, no difference between humans and Pokemon, as Arceus desired. It seems that Palworld will take this idea and turn it on it's head, into something more mature and darker, considering the actions done by the groups and the player's choice of their relationship with Pals. It helps that it's also deeply implied this is to also represent our relationships to the animals we live with day by, and recognizing there is no difference, since we both share the quality and value of life.

Well... The only odd thing is we find Pal souls but not human souls unless human souls count as Pal souls. Then we have the condenser which is the equivalent of the Skeksis Dark Crystal in it drains essence to be given to Pals. Since I don't believe the condenser has any effect on stats for breeding it is more of a steroid drug that artificially increases the strength of a Pal. Then again perhaps Alphas and Shinys are the Pals that received a upgraded condensed soul at birth since we can't actually breed the trait for Shiny or Alpha. This doesn't mean a shiny can't be born just that it isn't a trait inherited normally by breeding and is something left to chance.

We don't have any irrefutable evidence that pals are humans or are genetically similar. The robinquill entry suggests that it might be the key to understanding if and when humans and pals diverged. Shadowbeak is barely a pal, and while it IS concerning that his assistant went missing when he had his only success, its now its own distinct species and there's a finite amount of people on Palpagos Island so he cant be making too many more of them (you cant sustain a species population with just two members). And just because the so called "pal spheres" can capture humans, that doesn't inherently mean that pal spheres are tailor made to capture pals. They COULD just be capable of capturing any animal life.
What the rest of the lore suggests is that there is a link between humans and pals but it does nothing to indicate that pals USED to be human, just that we might have a common ancestor. Just an FYI, all life on earth has a common ancestor. And just because someone went missing when a genetic experiment was successful doesn't mean that they became part of the experiment. Correlation is NOT causation here. Its just as likely that his assistant was sabotaging his efforts and when he attempted to sabotage the current success, it killed and ate him. Lets not forget that there are TWO faction leaders who desperately love pals, and ONE of those leaders is a terrorist cult leader dead set on making humanity subservient to pals... and they are actively recruiting.
I like this as a theory but its anecdotal at best, and a deep stretch at worst.
So basically Pals can mate with humans. Pocketpair needs to add it

IF Lunaris actually is an alien, then the ancient humans could have been alien humans, too.
Or maybe the Island is also a reference to Atlantis. Atlantis also was rumored to have a more advanced technology. So if the "sinking to the buttom of the ocean" part never happened, the Island could be Atlantis with the Pals being former humans

I like the depth of your theory! I like the premise aswell!
However, when you go and speak to the npc nearby the fires from the spawn points, some do hint that they died then appeared here.
Furthermore there is a cop npc who claims he got hsot everything blacked out and he woke up on the island.
As for pals being genetically modified human. Well wed have to get a pal soul from a human npc.. if that ever would happen, id agree with you. Whats intriguing is where do the enforcer come from
Could be the scientist and Victor are same person in fact? Think some diaries entries of the Scientist it show tropes of a villain origins storyline.

I have been collecting more humans than pals
Makes me wonder if there could be a way to manipulate the genetics of all life on this archipelago, i.e. minimizing the gap by introducing/ adjusting the ratio of human and pal DNA resulting in a population of pal demihumans/anthros/etc. Regardless, it definitely adds a layer of guilt (though one that likely gets repressed) for every time we eat pal meat, and adds yet another layer of disturbing to snu-snu lizard

What would be crazy is if thats where the lost ancients went and as there pals where growing old and dieing they baryd the body near an old pond and the water changed to give them longer lifespans but the first people to try it changed into the animal trate hidden in there dna and left the tree to find a new home .

Good question! There is no explanation for it in the lore right now. Maybe we don't have all the journal entries yet or it somehow replicated in the wild? I really hope they release more of the story, there are still a lot of unanswered questions
They can reproduce each other, so pals are like extremely different races.
