Axel and orzerk are a trap The fire faction with all the fire guys and the fire pals named after fire eternal fire you go to fight their big boss. You bring all your water pals and then he toast them all perfectly with lightning bolts because he's an electric guy. Quite a powerful one😅
Yeah I loved that subtle bait and switch the devs put in. There are some clues from his journals and from the fisherman villagers that clue you in that he actually uses an electric type so you are better prepared if you actually explored the area
There's a detail not in written but in the game. The member of the FPA on the map often attack wild pals EXCEPT the Cinnamoth (unless accidently shot on them and becoming hostile). Why Cinnamoth? According to the description, they can spread scales which can cause "a feeling of unparalleled euphoria", and can be produced into "regulated byproduct". AND, they hire the PIDF, which is selling "white powder" for their profit.
So basically the drugs the PIDF (or maybe just Marcus?) are selling to the islanders are made from the scales of Cinnamoths, of which are only found in FPA territory. So not only are the FPA engaging in the same poaching practices as the Rayne Syndicate, but their also likely the ones supplying the PIDF (or just Marcus) the Cinnamoth scales they use to make their drugs.

I haven't read all the journal entries nor have I even found them all yet, but I did notice that Lily's Lyleen was the only one of the tower fights to not come out of a sphere. Given that it was the Free Pal Alliance tower, I was surprised by that subtle use of environmental storytelling. I really hope the game's story expands with more stuff like that as well as more depth. Maybe like not even being able to make the essence condenser until you find Victor's log about it.
Regarding Victor and Shadowbeak, it was mentioned in a diary that Victor planned to further investigate the "unknown factor'' that contributed to the singular success of Shadowbeak. So what is this "unknown factor"? Well, it's probably something unique and not included to any previous experiments. A diary also says that Victor's research was halted because his lab assistant suddenly disappeared following the Shadowbeak experiment and is nowhere to be found. What if they actually pulled a Full Metal Alchemist here...
The unknown factors the fact that he transferred an already living soul into the being he was trying to create and the other beings he created didn't survive because they didn't have souls
The unknown factor is probably that it took an entire research division to learn that you can somehow strip pal dna by having a kitsun and an astagon have a little bedroom rodeo. Still wonder how that works
5:54 it's just a shame that Lily's followers don't have the same appreciation for pals she does because they're doing the same thing that every other group is doing capturing or killing pals which they also sell to the black market under Lily's nose. I really like how every tower boss is completely separate from each other and not all just lackeys. I also really hope that they continue to flesh out each boss and continue to explore how each of their respective factions interact with each other. I really like how Zoe’s entry establishes a connection between the Rayne Syndicate and the FPA, and how Lily’s entry connects the FPA to the PDIF. I would especially like to know what Victor’s role will be, because I know there isn’t an official story yet, but from what we’ve seen so far I feel that Victor is being hyped up to be the big bad of the game. I’d also like to see to see Axel’s group fleshed out more because they’re really just a group that likes fire Pals.

So Zoe has the most detailed story so far and is the only one that deserves better. Hope she won't be killed in cold blood by us in the definitive version of the game.
We will see once we reach the full version of the game. The Devs at pocketpair already knows that they are going to add a Story Campaign alongside of adding more journal entries to expand the World of Palpagos.
zoe and grizz.....when will people learn in real life or in games.....never ever mess with a protective teddy bear O.o and never ever mess with a girls only friend. cuz if you wanna get f-ed up or un-alived.....thats how you go about it.
I haven't really read the lore from the journal entries, but from the information about Victor it sounds like he essentially created the concept of the pal condenser, since you can only condense pals of the same type to power them up and he mentions that in his diary entries. That also more or less confirms the theory I had with my friends where we were trying to determine how exactly it works. Option 1 being that it's basically a blender that you make a nice smoothie out of pals you don't want for the main pal to drink, (suggested by a friend), and option 2 being that they sort of get "juiced" for their essence which is then injected into the primary pal (my own hypothesis). I find it interesting that you can breed Shadowbeak though, if it's an experiment of Victor's that makes it genetically unrelated to other pals. And I don't just mean you can breed Shadowbeak with another Shadowbeak, you can literally create it through breeding Kitsun and Astegon, and then proceed to use Shadowbeak for other pal combinations. It's not like some of the pals where you can only breed them with two of the same type, which makes it being an experiment even more interesting because that implies that, beyond the fact that pals can crossbreed into some rather interesting (yet consistent) childten, Victor could have achieved getting Shadowbeak via breeding rather than melting pals into goo and injecting them into other pals and potentially also humans. It also implies that pal genes are pretty prone to mutation and thus possibly rather unstable in structure, as while their passives mostly stay consistent with the parents (with minor changes here and there, sometimes spontaneously getting negative traits or better ones) they can turn into entirely different pals that look nothing like their parents. For example, breeding Paladius and Necromus (who deserve their own theory in the future given the statues of them fighing everywhere) will always result in Suzaku. Two centaur-esque pals wearing armor create a bright red flying pal. It may change in the future to be harder to get different pals, perhaps with percentages to get rarer pals and being more prone to getting a duplicate of one of the parents, but I find the mechanics of breeding to be interesting, especially with the knowledge that Shadowbeak can be used to get some of these pals and even be bred from two pals despite supposedly not having genetic ties to them per its data entry
Hey Bandit! This is random, but do you think you could do more “bots write plots” videos? I know TotK is already out obviously, but those videos always make me laugh! I would love to see more
Having new characters would be cool. But I'd really love to see these tower bosses more fleshed out. Sure we kill them in game. But lorewise they don't have to be killed right? Just defeated? They could become more relevant characters and I'd be so down for that
Except you never actually kill the pals? Like throughout the game even if you unload an entire gun into a pal their eyes turn into that swirly pattern that's typically used for "incapacitated" in most art styles. Yes you can pick up stuff like meat and leather, but you get those items from catching them too so it seems to imply that you're just knocking them out rather than killing them. It seems to me like you're basically just forcibly taking control of the towers with your more powerful pals, especially since they do most of the work and your gun/crossbow/rocket launcher/etc does minimal damage to the bosses in comparison
No, that is just the way he chose to say it. Because of the game's nature (as well as the fact that its not finished), there is no set canon at the moment, and you can re-challenge them at any time to farm experience.
I'm hoping that in full release we're actually getting a story with voiced dialogues and cutscenes, and not just via reading the lore through journal entries.
it is early access, the lore is currently really barebones. It's also a pretty new IP, openworld games also tend to have mostly weak stories/lore. Like, this game is the embodiment potential of 'going back to the first boss after doing all the side quests before the main story' as you can get to level 50, go through all the various dungeons, capture/breed for all the pals in the game, then take on the towers.

@just4universe219 first of all how the hell do they have a monetary system and made of paper money? is there a printer on this island? why does everyone accept this as having value? there was no society to determine their value and again why do people treat it like money? Why do all the Boss people look like they come from our world when they were all raised on this island that most Npc look like they're from the middle ages? why is one of the bosses trying to control the island with money and drugs instead of going to the courts when he has the most people and the most firepower? why are you taking this slow route instead of going straight with work for me or die? you can say I'm just Nick picking but I don't feel this world as being in life
@@haixaldonix4945 There are two forms of currency that can be seen in the game, but the ones we and the island residents use is gold coins. The paper money Marcus throws around is unique only to him, showing how just like Victor he probably deals with the outside world as well. There IS a society to determine their value lmao, theirs. Or maybe even the ancient civilization of the island. The reason why gold coins have monetary value on the island is the same reason why sea shells had monetary value in ancient china. Not all of the bosses are raised on the island, the only one we know for sure was raised on the island is Zoe. As for her clothes it is mentioned that some items from the outside world sometimes washed ashore, someone like Zoe would obviously take an interest in those items since she's curious about the outside world, but her Syndicate members don't really care about it. Also the members of the PIDF all clearly use modern gear, because again their boss probably deals with the outside world. And Lily's clothes also look like it's from medieval times, which fits her character because unlike the other bosses she doesn't really care about the outside world. Victor = combination of Prof. Turo, Colress and Briar
Well this game has way more than I even came close to finding or expecting, I love that you're talking about the lore of this game and hope you keep covering it as more is released
So Zoe has the most detailed story so far and is the only one that deserves better. Hope she won't be killed in cold blood by us in the definitive version of the game.
10:40 why his pal didn’t unalive him
We have palworld at home
Palworld at home: Friend Planet
What if the palpagos islands are a part of another dimension that borders ours and lost ships and cargo wash up there ? Similar to bermuda triangle .
We will see once we reach the full version of the game. The Devs at pocketpair already knows that they are going to add a Story Campaign alongside of adding more journal entries to expand the World of Palpagos.
Always found it odd that the boss of the fire cult doesn't use a fire pal.
To bamboozle players. Oh he's the leader of fire ill counter it with my water pals. Then boom player and water pals literally getting cooked.
I always bring my anubis tho they didnt stand a chance.
I caught all of them using the glitch and put them all inside a viewing cage inside my base xD
zoe and grizz.....when will people learn in real life or in games.....never ever mess with a protective teddy bear O.o and never ever mess with a girls only friend. cuz if you wanna get f-ed up or un-alived.....thats how you go about it.
Dunno why I thought off that Lily could actually be a slave to her Male Lyleen ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
However I don't think you kill them as you beat them. I think you just knock them out
So Victor is basically an... *Interspecies Reviewer?*
Welp, we are getting a new faction soon by the time I write this. Cannot wait!
You also first meet the FPA in "Hypocrite Hill"
Wait, it's only in alpha? I thought it was in beta this whole time. Cool.
Palworld lore is nowhere near as good as Elden Ring but still pretty good, the slavery and anthropy themes are heavy 😅
Ain't no way you compared the lore of an indie game to an AAA game written by Miyazaki and GRRM 😭
Would of been a trip if the chief of the police was her dad 😬
wow the guys Are getting the express pass to HELL
I prefer catching the boss's lol
I am such an air head… I was shocked to find out you kill the bosses at the end, in a game about guns 😂😅
1:24 it reminds me of Yggdrasil.
They could become more relevant characters and I'd be so down for that
what is economy on these island
FREE PAL ....alliance.
FPA? More like PETA
very interessting, i wasnt reading any of the logs i picked up so thank you very much for this
“For Food”
omg, you did it man, you finally found something that brings in views that isn't zelda
Haha, cocaine bird
Coke bird main
great video
7:02 said commandments works the exact polar opposite on other humans
#TeamMarcus
I'd kinda expect the Bosses to come back, maybe united against the player for having killed their Pal.
Lily Everheart’s boss battle intro shows everything
if shadowbeak isnt a pal... then i think victor created a pokemon!
7:49 Directly caused by the PIDF
NeddyTheNoodle has much better lore videos. The lengths he goes to for his info is insane
8:02 it may be self defence for the FPA
WTF is this game. 😂
Wait, do we really KILL bosses cannonically?
No, that is just the way he chose to say it. Because of the game's nature (as well as the fact that its not finished), there is no set canon at the moment, and you can re-challenge them at any time to farm experience.
The palest world
Noice
I'm hoping that in full release we're actually getting a story with voiced dialogues and cutscenes, and not just via reading the lore through journal entries.
They will do BOTH i think from the full version of the game. I'm sure of it.
Who's high as wrote this story lol 😆
Am I the only one who thinks this story makes 0 sense?
it is early access, the lore is currently really barebones.
@@stuperman117 Ok, still waiting for the counterargument to what I said, because you're taking me with potential and it's not doing anything for me.I judge what I have right now in front of me, not what will come after. Who knows ? Maybe the story will get better or maybe it will be even less sense,Right now the story doesn't make sense and it annoys me!
Still a better story then Pokémon sword and shields
So clearly the island residents that still wears medieval looking outfits are only those who don't know or don't care about the outside world.
Going to the courts? You think this island that most people don't know even exist has a legal system? How else would you rule a lawless land other than with violence and money?
