In 2019, we get the Vande Bharat that runs at 180 km/h. Meanwhile Shatabdi which came out in 1988, was capable of going 130 km/h. Compare this progress to Chinese companies. In 1997, Chinese trains were running at 160 km/h, much slower than Shatabdi. But by 2008, they made a train that could reach speeds of 350 km/h.
