Not really. Many top traffic zones have been ignored completely and we dont know when full Bangalore Metro will be complete. There is no connectivity in Koramangala, Kodihalli, Old Airport Road, HAL, Marathahalli or even Silk Board yet and no lines have been discussed for these routes. In short the metro is there but not much use.

This is one of the most Insanely developed metro system in India, being jealous of other metros like Hyderabad and Chennai metro, both of them constructed after Namma metro but their extension happens very faster even having same problems like planning, land acquisition, etc but it took nearly 10 years of constructing the phase 2 after so much delay and budget extended.. Even in chennai the bus stand is well connected with Airport but it's still a day dream for bengalurians to get better connectivity among the major Hotspots..

I've been in Bangalore for nearly 11 years now
Every one struggles to commute to go to point A to Point B
problem no :1 is traffic & metro construction in phase-1&2 going at same time
Problem no :2 Bangalore has reached saturation point in terms of unchecked development before 2020
Problem no: 3 nearly 2.5 lac private buildings has no approvals that's the reason building collapses happens very often
Problem no 4: BBMP is corrupt to the core
Problem no 5: Karnataka government needs to stop investments in Bangalore and move the development projects to Mysore, Mangalore, hubbali, Dharwad, shimoga etc
Problem no:6 Bangalore has no alternative mode of transport infrastructure like Suburban railways so all commuters use road transport only
Problem no:7 namma metro has very low ridership , government needs to have shuttle service from Suburbans area to major metro stations not city
Problem no 8: pull buses from going inside City especially majestic , kr market, chickpet,
Problem no 9 : bmrcl & bmtc & city traffic police needs to work together on better routing options
Problem no 10: namma metro connection to Whitefield & KR Puram must be completed fast

I don't know what that Jehadi woman wants?? Mamata can only bark on Modi like a dog, and nothing else. She is not allowing industrial development in Bengal. You must be knowing about the Tata plant there in Bengal about 10 years ago, that how she protested & used the people to overthrow the Tata company. Now the people are crying that why Tata has not opened there plant in Bengal. She is just using its people & making a fake comment on poverty & labour. As she is against Modi so she won't allow any company to grow there, except poverty & backwardness. I am sorry to say bro, that our west Bengal is even backward than Bangladesh 😭😭. I have lived in Delhi since my birth & have seen each & every development. Starting from Delhi metro to building of new flyovers, new roads, schools, colleges, offices, new shopping malls, etc.

Great initiative 👍 Bangalore has a lot of good places and it is truly a global city but there are also many places here that are poorly maintained with piled up garbage and drainages that stink badly which sometimes are unbearable and many roads are poorly maintained. The traffic is also choking at times. If only the authorities and the citizens equally took up initiatives to clean up Bangalore city ward wise and make it more cleaner and greener, and less crowded then Bangalore will become a paradise on earth and there will be no place like it in the entire country. It will then matchup with the world’s best places like Singapore, or LA or California and New York. Also if more places around Bangalore are included to the present city and it is expanded as a larger city and if the infrastructure is improved soon and if more green parks and free spaces are added to the city then our Namma Bengaluru will be among the best cities in the world. Doing this will also attract world tourists towards Bangalore like Kerala and Jaipur are already doing, there by increasing the state’s revenue further for development and maintenance of the city..

I am from Chennai , 3 new metro lines are in progress.. hopefully by 2025 it looks ok. Also we have a new airport coming up 70 kms from the city - So I hope they start planning for connectivity from.now itself instead of starting a project 10 yrs after airport comes up.

All major cities deserve Delhi style Metro. It's sad how far mumbai and bangaluru is behind this. I hope they also get big and longer metros !!!
