This video shows how to resize/ cut down a cabinet door. For example, how to cut down a cabinet door, or how to shorten a cabinet door. It also includes a how-to on separating glued wood joints. This method works great on how to remove wood glue from wood. This video shows a way to remove glue from wood joints without a heat gun or vinegar. I also show how to make a beveled edge without a router. This video has a lot of great tips and tricks for beginner wood workers.

this looks great any thoughts on how to do this for only a 1 inch reduction ? I'm not sur eI can cut into the middle of the door without damaging it permanently.
I need to remove the cabinet door above the microwave range in order to replace the microwave range, but that panel is glued onto the frame. Could you give me some suggestions?
I am wonderinf if the panel at the top is squared or does it follow the curve of the moulded panel frame?
I am doing the exact same project with the same dimensions as you have. The only difference is my cabinet is stained and not painted.
I am having a problem removing the upper panel from the frame. It appears to have some brads inserted from the inside of door in 4 spots.
Any suggestions on how to get the panel out. Thanks for any help and great video.
Can you do this with a mitered door that has a profile?
Have you taken a piece of wood, placed it against the stile side of a corner, and hit it with a hammer to crack the dry glue, and separated the rails and stiles

This guy technically has shown you how to do it yourself, so either you take on that adventure (which is what I’m about to do) or just have a local cabinet place make you new ones. The other videos I’ve seen on TH-cam tell you that in most cases it’s better to just have new cabinetry done from scratch. The reason this guy spent the extra effort to resize existing doors is because of the unique curve, where recreating that curve from scratch would end up being more expensive than resizing. So if your cabinets are just normal squared cabinets with no decorative aspects then it’d be cheapest to just get it done from scratch by professionals.
