I remember being a young boy when LABELLE hit the scene with LADY MARMALADE. I watched them perform the song on some TV show.Patti had the silver spray in her hair. I didn't know at the time it was spray and I thought her hair was grey.A sense of sadness came over me,because I thought that it was so sad that an old lady( grey hair Patti) had to work so hard to earn a living in her old age. Mind u I was probably 10 years old.
