They are the first Eumelaninated female Rock Band and in the 60's the First Eumelaninated girl group to have and official headline singer (Patti LaBelle)
All 3 of these women had their own identity in the group. Sarah was the sexy one, Nona was the wild one kind of like a rebel but still sexy, and Patti was the leader the queen bee with the most powerful and signature voice. All 3 brought something to the group and that is what made them so special, unique, and amazing.
This is Rock n' Soul, they are the real Soul sisters. They are Queens of rock n' soul. They deserve a Rock and Roll hall of fame induction. Who's with me?? #JusticeForLaBelle
There is NO female group that can top the singing that these women did. NO ONE! They did it without being naked and NO autotune. They were just pure talent. I was lucky enough to see them twice in San Francisco and they were AMAZING. When Patti came from the ceiling with this feathers on her arms like a bird, OMG.
Probably one of the single most ground braking groups ever to exist in the genre of popular music. Labelle transcended every category of performing art creativity that I could possibly think of: fashion, music, creative writing, spoken word narrative (aka storytelling). You would have to be dead not to feel the energy that Sarah, Nona, and Patti exuded in performance. I was just a kid when Labelle was performing but I can tell you that even back in the 70's, I knew that Labelle would have a legacy of creativity that would never be forgotten. Thank You Sarah, Nona, and Patti for setting the standard for what would always be my love for the period in which you shared with the world some of the brightest moments of your creativity.

La Belle rare Pearl and a diamond in a rough industry
Vocals are amazing!!!!
I can watch this over and over until the end of time. I love me some LaBelle!!!
Digging Nona's STYLE! Loving the ENTIRE group vibe! 🙌🏽🥰
There's no one group male or female that's even remotely close !!!! Not nor not ever !!!! VIVA LABELLE !!!!
vic Victor Them Tore that stage A P A R T
+NUJK JUHM 👍
Earth Wind and Fire and Frankie Beverly and Maze will outperform them and they have way more hits too but that doesn't take away how well Labelle performed.
Powerful Sista's songbirds!
MrStyle23 don’t think any group can out perform them! These ladies put on a show!
Wow that's cosmic, you honestly don't see a lot of passion like that in performances today....
Josephs Boy especially from the whole group and band!!!! I just got my life!!!!
of course not because your Beyonce is so contrived and controlled and calculated and staged there in no room for spontaneity or real emotion .
Josephs Boy,one word TRUE!!!!!!
@@mrfunky1768 you're right!!!! but that's the thing...i'm waiting for her to let go and let loose...spontaneity and REAL PASSION X D... there is young/new talent out there, but it seems as if they are afraid to show their passion...sad
Ms. Sarah wore the hell outta that gold body suit.
Yass she did
I wish either the record companies or individuals who are fans of Labelle with rare performances in their possession would combine their materials and create a video and musical keepsake for the fans of Labelle!
vic Victor omg me too
+Carol Chaves 👍
WOULDN'T THAT BE ASTRONOMICALLY EPIC!! I've reached out to folks like TV Guide and asked about those rare, now archived Television performances and got NO RESPONSE!! IT WOULD BE DELICIOUS to have those jewels in my collection!!!!
That would be a great idea
I love the way Patti performed "Come Into My Life" so much joy, so much life!
We will never hear or experience another female vocal group like LABELLE 🔥
Rest in peace...Sarah Dash 🕯️🙏🕯️
