It is genuinely extremely disturbing that the police shown here are literally clueless on a subject BUT STILL attempt to give directives to members of the public on law. This is yet again a crystal clear example of how bad policing has become in the UK. These two need to be taken off the streets and retrained properly.
Brilliant work DJE for standing up for our rights…PINAC👍👍🙏

How to make any police officer look stupid... let them talk....

    • @steve11211
      @steve11211 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

It is disappointing, so many times the first port of calls seems to be to say you can't do something or your breaking the law and you need to do X, be it leave or give ID etc... Only when someone says "No your wrong" do they actually check... The use confidence with their lies, they both agreed with each other and said with confidence "No you can't do it". Most members of the public would think if a police officer says you need to do something or you can't do something and says it with that level of confidence like a matter of fact that it must be true... Lazy policing just trying to manipulate people to do what they want..

@@WATCHINGTHEWATCHERS Because he would have been treated differently as a somewhat infamous Auditor, the point of the Audit is to exersize the rights of members of public. If the police say "Your an Auditor ok you can do it because you know your rights and we can't lie to you" but to members of public "Your a member of public no you can't do it" That is why he presented himself as a member of the public

50 years ago, in Seaforth Merseyside, I ran a small electronics shop. We had bars inside the glass but it had been broken a couple of times and stuff stolen through the bars. We decided to solder two wires that led to a 240v bulb in a socket, and a notice that read electric bars do not touch. The bulb was actually powered from under the window carpet but looked like the bars were at 240v. but were actually safe. The local cops came in thinking they were live and told us to disconnect them because a child or even a robber could get hurt and we would be liable. I'm now wondering if we were lied to or they were just stupid.

Good video, but you keep confusing the operator iID with a flyers ID. The Mini 4 Pro does require an operator ID. It’s about £11 and you don’t do an online course.
The Flyers ID is optional (for the moment) For that, you have to do an online exam. Not a course as such.
The police can now ask to see your operator ID, examine your drone and also ask for your details… if you have just flown your drone.. are flying your drone.. or are about to fly your drone. They no longer need to suspect you of an offence.
However, they cannot demand you land the drone, unless they suspect you of an offence (drone related or otherwise) so if you are airborne and they don’t suspect an offence, then they would have to wait 15, 20 mins or so for you to land first.
    Cheers. Steve

@@gibboj I understand we are all different and he does some very good stuff otherwise I wouldn't watch or subscribe. I just want my kids to be free in a free society where our rights are upheld this is important in my opinion. Part of filming in public is upholding them rights and finding the ones that don't. Simply telling everything and submitting to tyrannical behaviour only hurts others and potentially the generations after us. If doing a lawful activity is suspicious then maybe the paranoia is the problem. If you feel that paranoid or concerned mental health assessment maybe needed. Or maybe the police is not for you ( THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE WITH BIPOLAR ). So in effect stroking someone's paranoid thoughts or stroking their feelings is not helping long term. JUST A THOUGHT

One of the main factors in the wording of law is,, "AND", "OR", it is clear that you have to be a person who is flying the drone AND -
    - has reasonable grounds for suspecting
BOTH factors have to be in force, not just he has the right to inspect the drone purely based on the fact that you have flown the drone therefore whenever the connect "AND" arises it has to meet BOTH cases'. Therefore WITHOUT reasonable grounds to suspect you do not have the relevant competency he has no right to ask to see your qualifications, experience, certificates and flyer ID as you have have not broken any law for him to reasonable suspect a relevant competency requirement.
    -
    (a) has reasonable grounds for believing that -
    (i) a flight by an unmanned aircraft is taking place or has taken place, and
(ii) P is or was the remote pilot of the unmanned aircraft for the flight, and
    (b) has reasonable grounds for suspecting that a relevant competency requirement is or was applicable as respects P and the unmanned aircraft and the flight.
