- Today we take a look at Libra Speciality Chemicals Ltd, Brinell Dr, Irlam, Manchester M44 5LF.
We speak to many staff members including the Managing Director who attempts to whack the drone controller out of my hand whilst the drone is in the sky.
He then comes nose to nose so gets pushed back.
More staff arrive to back up the MD and I get outnumbered.

I have yet to hear of a private prosecution . Auditors disseminate footage to the public so we may act upon it . have you forwarded the footage to the CAA to make them aware of the crime you have witnessed ? .

I think the directors of GRI group might not appreciate a very public display of violence towards someone outside their premises by Phil Carson their MD. I’m not sure quite what sanction they might impose, but it does make you fear for employees and staff and visitors from education.
I hope Dr Graham Royle the CEO and Chairman of the parent corp GRI will be transparent in his investigation and his subsequent actions.
A culture like this tends to run through an entire company. Would you trust their products??

I'm sure Dr Graham Royle (CEO) will be so proud of his senior staff , Phil Carson (MD) and Tom Lees (D of O) for such a fine example of how not to interact with a member of the public. Makes you wonder how they treat the environment, when they obviously have something to hide. Not to mention the overloaded truck.

@muselive100 it was a 4x2, usually for european trucks, and it was foreign registered. They have a lower weight they can carry as they don't have as many axles at the back to distribute the weight. It's only a couple of tonne of a difference, but most places loading that truck would still load it up to the total weight of 44 tonnes. And there is the problem, it's probably a couple of tonne overweight, if they did load it to 44 tonne. Very dangerous if someone where to slam the brakes on in front of him, especially considering his cargo.

It was disgusting behaviour by the MD. He asked if a drone was over his site, and when told there was, he stupidly smacked the controller out of DJ’s hand. to clarify, he had just been told a drone is flying over his chemical depot, and at that point, thought smacking the drone pilots controller was an appropriate and safe course of action. His employees totally did not understand what had happened, and I hope they will (after watching this video) now see what actually transpired to their “disabled” MD. Finally can I direct people to see what employees have said about this MD on Glassdoors. It seems this behaviour is perfectly normal day-to-day at Libra Chemicals. I do hope this MD gets charged, fined and sacked

Looks like the MD is called Phillip Mathew Carson, born 1981. Used to be their supply chain director before being promoted in 2019. Graduated from University of Bradford in 2003 with a 2:2 in Business and Management Studies. A 2:2 is very low from a subpar uni, wouldn’t be surprised if this is reflected in how he dealt with the confrontation. 🤔
How could your educational stature possibly reflefct how he dealt with confrontation? Its a situation that occurs outside the business, and plus calling out his grade is a low ball when he actually gained the job he studied for, better than 90% of this country 😂 but then again he did act like a Richard cranian and id be highly suprised if there was no consequences to this encounter.
It appears Mr Carson juggled his full time degree studies with a part time job. Getting at least a "Desmond Tutu" on what seems to be a fairly popular discipline is better than nothing. Indeed what he did here was totally wrong but the point is that most studious graduates do not get suitably life coached!

Looks like someone removed the company from Google maps.
Don't leave a 1X review, Google will flag those as spam / harassment. Leave a 4X or 5X review with appropriate comments and Google should publish them. (Wait a couple of weeks is even better).
The first director has no balls, was grinning when the three employees came at DJ, and has no control over the thugs who work under him. Because the MD assaults DJ and commits a POA (as do all the others) he is not a fit and proper person to hold a directorship of a company.
While Baldy was assaulting and coming after DJ, director 1 was pushing DJ back and holding him off as if he was the aggressor. No clue . . .

DJ had to tell him to get away and warn him not to come in his personal space. As the bald director was the aggressor, he was the one who should have been pushed away and told to chill.
He did keep both parties separate, but he was manhandling the wrong person.

@@lint8391to be fair, Police don't make decisions on who is prosecuted, that is the CPS, and they're effectively useless in cases like this. I feel the best course of action would be a private prosecution against the company, as the "Disabled" (although what the f that has to do with anything is anyone's guess) was employed at the time, and therefore the company is wholly liable.

I'm just surprised that you kept hold of the drone controller, no one is supposed to interrupt your drone flying , (interrupting a drone operator’s activities can have legal implications and consequences.) They make toilet cleaner, not exactly top secret. When the cops are called, they instantly start to look for a bush to hide behind - that's habitual behavior. Seems like they have something very dodgy to hide.

That MD was completely out of control of himself and to think he is in charge of a company site with very dangerous chemicals around does not inspire confidence of the safety of Libre workers and the local environment.
This can't go unpunished DJ.. Video evidence of someone mentally unbalanced in charge of a dangerous site like this committing a list of offences including assault, endangering an aircraft and not least endangering his chemical company's site and staff had he successfully seperated you from that drone controller!!!!!

Libra are owned by GRI Group Ltd, their CEO & Chairman is Graham Royle. The guy that whacked the drone controller is Phil Carson Managing Director of Libra, and Tom Lee is the Director of Operations who was talking to DJ at the start. I'd make Grahan Royle aware of this! It'll be interesting to see what happens....

I too could not believe my eyes. On the other hand, in all of Dj Audit´s "unrequested" contacts, I always think "Omg, I hope he will never run into one of the maniacs that really get hands-on and endager your life". I think it was close to very, very dangerous.

Being a drone flyer is definitely a dangerous hobby. It's the only reason I'm glad I live in the U.S. and now carry pepper spray because I spent 7 days in the hospital last year with a bashed head and broken arm right after the Mavic 3 Pro launched because i was getting daily progress timelapses filming a new Amazon warehouse being built when a cowardly site worker cracked me in the head a few times from behind with a "tire thumper" (look it up) with zero warning he also destroyed my controller in the process. Then came back and broke my arm when my drone automatically returned to home which pissed him off even more. And now ever since I got a license to conceal carry a handgun and a can of pepper spray for my personal protection. Last I heard he's sitting in a county jail for attempted murder assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to destroy a federal aircraft.

Their overly aggressive behaviour can be explained if you think about sheer number of people they "managed" who never knew any of their laws. As a person who have started in low warehouse job upon voming to the UK i Remember vividly the stark difference in treatment of workers between us from outside of uk and uk workers. It turns out they will poke you and make you feel like shit unly until they become aware that you know your rights and understand laws.
