Thats the best part about Last Epoch tho, it doesnt matter. Just play what you want to play (ranged, melee, or magic) and you will be smacking either way.
I dont own this game and may or may not pick it up but i watch your videos to the end because i love the way you lay stuff out and chapter it all. Thanks for this huge amount of work.
I think this is the great thing about Last Epoch compared to say D4... Like you said, if you want to play a warlock with sommons you can, if you want to have this or that you can.. If you want to do cold damage you could..... So much ways to play and still be viable without following any of the 4 optimal guides like in d4 where everything else just sucks.
It all comes down to the itemization. I was downvoted on reddit before the d4 launch for bringing up that the item chase in d4 was extremely flat & stale. The reason games like D2, PoE, & Last Epoch will thrive is because of the diverse itemization leading to the customization of playstyle
Ive sunk about 1000 hours into D4, tried all meta builds for all characters, which isnt saying much since you dont really have a choice otherwise. Im about 20 hours into LE with the Acolyte/necro summon build and this is exactly what a necro should feel like. Im loving it so far; the build variety so far feels amazing and i dont feel the need to check for meta builds because everything feel viable.
Shaman has been sooo fun with speccing into spriggan form and just casting totems that are turrets they clear out everything while you run around profiting very easy on the hands not a lot of clicking which is something that people enjoy! never had that much relaxed leveling/farming experience in an arpg before, very fun stuff
Rune master is probably the most fun. You can build 20 different ways. And just change to Melee Or arranged, and you can do damage over time. You can do big nukes, you can do. A little turret, that is super broken That just kills everything I'm screwing for you can have plasma balls or a virtue. There's so many ways to build a phone character in one class. It's so amazing to play with and figure out fun new rune combos. I apologize for my horrible run-on sentence and grammar.
Thats my favorite class selection video so far. Thanks for the upload mate! I might go shaman, falconer or warlock or runemaster or lich. LoL... I am still cursed 😂
Thanks for the break down bro really made it simple yet complex enough to digest and get a good feel of what class to play. Earned my sub! Going with Shaman or Warlock!
After fiddling around with a couple of Masteries, here's my ten cents (pun very much intended): - Void Knight has a lot of bugs atm, otherwise amazingly fun. The Spin to Win is cool, but you can get really creative with oneshot builds, dot builds etc. And you have all the Sentinel support stuff. - Forge Guard needs some love or reworks.. It could be so much more. There's definitely viable builds, but for example the pet builds have too little synergies. I enjoyed the Captain America though with flaming shields ricocheting everywhere and exploding. - Runemaster might be the best mage of any game ever. SUPER FUN! I think 40? different rune spells on TOP of the base kit. That's like 50 builds in one mastery. GO WILD! - Lich is kickin bitch ass, if you're a poison lover like me, this is the mastery for you. Stuff just melts! - Warlock - just like Runemaster - has awesome spells in his kit, that impress both visually and feeling-wise - Marksman feels very intuitive, impactful and is overall a complete success of a hunter lore class. Just shows how customizable skills are in this game, for example Explosive Traps can rain down attached to arrows with lots of synergies. Also has the visually most beautiful builds in the game in my opinion. - DRUID! My main. Wow. The most versatile class. Thorns Totems in Spriggan Form, Swarmblade Tornadoslasher, big bad bear boy. There's something for everyone.
Thank you for a good video, I has been playing like 3-5 hrs into both primalist(shaman), acotype(necro) I find it is quite good and easy to do the story quest. after I get these two to some good high level , I thinking of starting a range class either maskman, wizard xD
Currently playing a shaman spriggan build and it absolutely crushes everything. I summon 9 healing totems that also act as thorn totems and i can proc lightning totems with my auto attack. I have extra resistances based on how many totems are summoned so I am perma capped on resists and i get extra armor in form which lasts infinitely. All 9 of my healing totems are pulsing huge heals so if I dont get 1 shot i instantly go back to max hp. This game is awesome
i've done level 20 on all 5 characters now and i have to say i love them all. I'm working on a Runemaster Mage and a Paladin Sentinel but i can see me just working on 'em all eventually
Great detailed video, I appreciate it. I don't have the game yet but I'm soooo excited. I usually play as druids or wizards but every class/mastery looks so good! I have no clue what I'm gonna pick first!
Great video, just got the game and looking forward to start, decided to try beastmaster since I've always enjoyed minion builds, and who doesn't like a wolf ore two next to them!
I just need to know which is the most powerful? I'm J/K I have 746 hours in Last Epoch and LOVE the game. Very good video, thumbs up. IMO, there are a few very powerful classes such as the Paladin and the Falconer, but all of the classes can become very powerful, even the Shaman.
One thing about the Void Knight you didn't mention. It has some sort of anti-synergy thing going on in it's skills, of all the advanced class skills it gets, only one is a pure melee. All the other skills are spells, so it has a whole mage knight vibe thing going there. If you are interested in building for pure melee, your void knight will be locked out of 4/5 of it's skills. If you go for pure spell caster, it's main DPS skill will end up being Smite because the 4/5 skills it gets are all DoTs or buffs. You can build for both, but like most veteran ARPG players will tell you, that will just end up neutering your end game.
Runemaster, Falconer or Warlock. Surprisingly the newest classes. They might be nerfs in 1.1 though. Runemaster gains huge ward. Falconer and Warlock do *a lot* of damage.
Been playing this game a lot lately. Definitely enjoying the necromancer class and seeing how far I can take it before my minions fail me. Also can’t wait to try out the new mastery’s that have been added recently.
It’s funny how I chose primalist and thought to lean into some shaman magic but ended up with Diablo 2 frenzy barbarian but elemental focused with Tempest strike as main dps skill, gathering storm as secondary mana free damage, fury leap for traversal, war cry as stun and buffer ability and Eterra’s blessing spawning healing totem granting me a ton or resistances from blessing itself and shaman passive too
I'm excited to start this game, but I'm frustrated that you can't respec to an alternate master-class. I don't appreciate having to start 15 characters to try all the masteries...
Nice guide, but the way you at least worded it is that void knight is only melee, while paladin is mostly spells or ranged abilities. Thats not true, void knights can also be spell casters, using void spell damage. Devouring orb build for example.
100% man! Apologies for that, I colored it like it's black and white, when it's most certainly not the case. I said that they CAN be melee/magic respectively, but I think I alluded to it not sounding optimal, when it definitely is
Went in blind and building a judgment warpath paladin. It has been Pretty fun so far in normal monolith and will try my best to make it better at end game. As new player this has been very fun

um i am interested in what build you did for your offline shaman..... i also like lightning based builds but pretty bad at making my own builds,,,, would you do a vid on it by any chances?
somehow i wasnt very happy with the character selection. i was missing a true warrior / barbarian / brute type of character as those are the ones i usually play.
Best Mastery for a new player imo is definitely Paladin with a strong balance of armor, block, resistances, healing and damage. Defense is very important in the late endgame.
I have four characters over 50. My Paladin is easiest to play. My Fire Sorcerer is the highest damage. My Druid is messed up. I know I'm playing it wrong. I should have picked Shaman. But you cannot change mastery unfortunately.
Bladedancer, Spellblade or Lich? Which of these would offer the smoothest movement while consistently dealing damage and not being scared to die from a single hit? (I like mobility during fights)
@@punani_slayer4209 I went for Lich (mainly because it has potential to be tanky). I had to try out quite a few setups, before I found something that ssuits my playstyle, though. (I now have 4 Lichs Lvl 30-65 ^^). The dungeons later on are a reason for tankyness, since you have to run through the whole thing again, if you die.
@@punani_slayer4209 Yes it is. It's just not as strong as other classes (its only really strong build seems to be the explosive zombie build, which circuumvents the whole class).
@@Daskard damn I'm stuck between warlock, void knight, spell blade, and lich. Since you have to start up a whole new character just to switch classes it makes choosing so hard lol
You suggest us not to do the things the internet tells us, but what if some people like to do the things the internet says and enjoy it (we call this follow the build)
I am a big fan, I only hope to get the game one day, all my money goes to the my family to help and support them 😔 but watching your gameplay and tutorials is awesome
Hahahaha they really are but the new armor added in let's that fall to the wayside FAST. the sentinel and primalist are UGLY. Mage and acolyte are newer models. These are set to be refreshed

I always like to play a tank… sadly it looks like spin to win. Im not a fan of that but it works so well.
Helpful
Glad it helped!
somehow i wasnt very happy with the character selection. i was missing a true warrior / barbarian / brute type of character as those are the ones i usually play.
>Forge Guard: "Forge Guard is all about summons, summoning, lots of summons, summons stuff, many summons."
>Video doesn't show a single summon
:P
HAHAHA SHIT! I cut out the beginning of his video where he DOES show the summons
Best Mastery for a new player imo is definitely Paladin with a strong balance of armor, block, resistances, healing and damage.
Defense is very important in the late endgame.
I fucking love my BM
@@italianspartacus 😕 😅 , u really see Beast Master everywhere ,right? :D
if i wanna play as a berserker, whitout any minion/pet/toten or other sht like that, what should i play?
Thank you
I have four characters over 50. My Paladin is easiest to play. My Fire Sorcerer is the highest damage. My Druid is messed up. I know I'm playing it wrong. I should have picked Shaman. But you cannot change mastery unfortunately.
I disagree on Paladin not being melee. Rive for one is a huge build
Touche! But the majority tend to skew a little more on the magic damage spectrum and it's what turned me away initially
Let's boost you up for algorithm!
Algorithim boosting let's go!
Let's do it!!
Thank you.
0:43 "there arrrg" Italianpirate :p
Bladedancer, Spellblade or Lich? Which of these would offer the smoothest movement while consistently dealing damage and not being scared to die from a single hit? (I like mobility during fights)
What did u end up choosing?
@@punani_slayer4209 I went for Lich (mainly because it has potential to be tanky). I had to try out quite a few setups, before I found something that ssuits my playstyle, though. (I now have 4 Lichs Lvl 30-65 ^^).
The dungeons later on are a reason for tankyness, since you have to run through the whole thing again, if you die.
@@Daskard is the lich fun to play though?
@@punani_slayer4209 Yes it is. It's just not as strong as other classes (its only really strong build seems to be the explosive zombie build, which circuumvents the whole class).
@@Daskard damn I'm stuck between warlock, void knight, spell blade, and lich. Since you have to start up a whole new character just to switch classes it makes choosing so hard lol
You suggest us not to do the things the internet tells us, but what if some people like to do the things the internet says and enjoy it (we call this follow the build)
BLUF: The class you enjoy.
Absolutely!!
I’m using a summoning build for necro and it’s fast runs and easy mode.
Thanks for the video. I think I may play sentinel.
Hold up. At 18:00, we can play as Squirrel Girl!? Thats hilarious!
I cant decide between the runemaster or the warlock
Runemaster is really powerful apparently but I'm the same I like warlocks personally. Runemaster sounds more made up secondary class😮
is warpath paladin a good idea?
So many class options but I can't play a wifu beastmaster
So runemaster is basiclly just "Invoker" right 😂
Best class is the one that looks most fun to you
FUCK yes
Primalist is phenomenal
Ty
I am a big fan, I only hope to get the game one day, all my money goes to the my family to help and support them 😔 but watching your gameplay and tutorials is awesome
Thank you brother!!!
Watching this on 1440p and it looks like crap, what have youtube done to the quality ?
It's because the videos are 1080 and I'm up scaling them :/ might be a me problem, but buffering has been really weird lately so it could also be YT
Falconer is op af
Picked this up last year and giving it another try. Only thing that is throwing me off is the characters, they are ugly as sin
Hahahaha they really are but the new armor added in let's that fall to the wayside FAST. the sentinel and primalist are UGLY. Mage and acolyte are newer models. These are set to be refreshed
❤
Play them all.. duh 😁
Cool vid. You could have saved time and just said "all of them."
I did at the beginning :) Hehehe
Algo comment.
the game looks nice but i'm not buying it because gender lock
