The comment Neace makes about knowing your champion comes up so many times in this video. Several times an enemy was hit with ult but the student never used W. That pick on Kogmaw near baron, Ult + AA + WQ + E, would 100% kill Kog. Your ult starts ticking blight stacks the moment you hit them, so one auto before your WQ will ensure 3 stacks and do almost 600 damage plus 14 - 21% missing health damage.
One tricking is obviously very important to climb, but I'm sometimes curious if I went with the correct champion. I'd love it if Neace commented on this, what metrics are important for picking a champ to onetrick. He always says that the champ should have agenda in soloQ, however Im not sure I can always determine that.
The biggest questions to answer when looking for a one-trick champion, IMO: 1) Do you enjoy playing the champion? Can you play them for literally hundreds of games without getting bored? 2) When the champion gets fed on the enemy team, how scared are you of them? This should be a general indication of their carry potential in solo queue (e.g. fed Master Yi vs. fed Sona) 3) Can you make your fingers do what they need to do for the champion to be effective? Timing Riven AA cancels vs. Nasus wither + bonk is completely different
The funny thing is everyone will cry about champs being easy and simple, but at the end of the day every champ is super hard to master, as a Cho’Gath OTP I can say yes, very simple champion indeed. But mastering him especially with getting counter picked every match, not to mention the amount of predictions has to be made with your Q’s, TOUGH thing to do. Every champ is difficult to master but in the end, one tricking a champ is the best way to climb
@@wat4504 The game is piss easy mechanically, there are no 'hard' champions to play, you're shitting on Cho'Gath as if Yone or Zed are difficult, shooters are mechanically demanding, Dark Souls titles are mechanically demanding, League of Legends is not mechanically demanding, it's a very slow paced game with TONS of time to think and hit your abilities, the hardest champion in the entire game is Zoe not because she's difficult to pilot, it's because you can't get consistent value from such a punishing all or bust kit. "Hard to master" means making 0 mechanical mistakes in an exhausting 30 minute shit fest
@@JustShotsForMeh Agreed that micro in this game is easy. Where did you get the "zed and yone are difficult" sentiment though? Are you assuming i hold this opinion?
I've mained one champ so far this season. Couple games with other champs from being autofilled or my main was banned. Meant no difference after I climbed almost 2 divisions, got out on a losing streak and now back where I was after placements. You can't compete with feeders on your own team.
@@joshuacox5817 It's all about how you have fun with the game. If climbing is how you have fun, obviously 1 tricking makes more sense. I think part of the reason the community as a whole is so toxic is people that are trying to climb want to force their goals on the rest of the team.
@@Watz465 the community doesn't have goals. They're children who play ranked the moment they're allowed and then ruin things for others. I dunno if it is just me, or is it some kinda super ultra focus mode as a couch (or you had a bad day), but in some videos you are more emotional, but here except the moments like at 15:50 you really were not. Some would say, it is useless talk, but I think this awkard silence and "seriousness" makes some pressure on the guy, who is playing. Or like here 34:51, but it is post game. Those moments really relax the player from pressure, it is easier to play. I do not say, that they lose focus (or well, maybe like 1-2%), but no pressure makes plays cleaner. Also, sometimes you tell the dude to do something, but really explaining it. Here 27:22 was a perfect explanation of what just happened, but you have not done for everything. LIke, why push the wave, why not join the teamfight, why change HUD size, what all of that will lead to. And a liitle remark, that game was a bit too load at the replay (32:00). Otherwise, thanks for the video, Neace! The lifehack of knowing absolutely everything about the champ is really nice!

I wish I could afford the sessions. I'm so painfully open to criticism at this point that I even give my raging teammates a chance to speak their views in bad games or ask the enemy team. I am one tricking at least now, but still its hard.
This is my issue. I like too many characters to just one trick. On top of that, every time I find one I like enough to play more than 50 games with, Rito fists it with the Thanos nerf gauntlet.
It doesn't have to be only one. It's just better if the number of champions you play is no more than 1-3. He's just saying that one tricking will net you the most improvement and climb potential, which is true. However I feel you on not wanting to play only one. That's why for me I play Ezreal as my primary champ, and then Jinx as my next go-to pick and last is Veigar. Having 1-3 champs like this is ideal for solo queue because you want to have a back up champ for when your main gets banned or picked away.
Pick a few for soloq. Try out or practice new in flexq or norms. Also, yuumi is not a champion, not a legend, not a hero, just a "playable" character so you've indeed played them all.

I got off a few really good games on her where I basically solo carry. And then... it started. Everytime I pick her I start making terrible ego calls, ones that I alraedy know I fucked up mid air W, I go literally dried up dog poopoo mechanics and sewage sludge DNA. Just straight up int. That is the secret. I don't see the confliction here. He's always said to play a max of 1-3 champions. The issue with most players is they want to climb while also chilling and goofing around on whatever champion they feel like playing that game. If you are stuck in low elo and aren't climbing you need to pick 1-2 champions that you want to main and say "I'll stick to these champs and only pick a different one - IF - those two champs are picked/banned away." It goes for most things in life, not just video games. If you are struggling you want to reduce the variables so that you can focus and not force yourself to juggle a million things when you haven't even mastered juggling 1-3 champions.
It's about knowing every single interaction and every detail about a champion that no one else knows. Plat one tricks know the basics of their champ but not the tiny interactions that you don't usually see.

@@bergkatze3186 If were talking pure the animations they look amongst the best and the skin as a whole is among the better looking ones while being a fair decent price in my eyes.
I did consider the Arclight as alternative and like its look but again for me the bowstring on Arctic is the difference maker where the actual bow itself is way more alive/animated and detailed then i already thought it would be and i thoroughly enjoy playing the Arctic one.
@@dutchdude1985 yeah the bow on artic ops varus is perfect but i was hoping on what is your opinion on the arclight varus skin cuz they say it's a cheat skin cuz the "Ult" animation is not very visible that's why they ban the usage of the skin in worlds just like the "iblitz" skin
@@bergkatze3186 Ahh i see im sorry i thought we were talking merely the visuals and i did really like the animations on that skin. If were talking Worlds then yes that kind of edge is huge in competitive proplay and i see why although its arguable.
You don't need aa to get full stacks if you hit R...
One tricking is obviously very important to climb, but I'm sometimes curious if I went with the correct champion. I'd love it if Neace commented on this, what metrics are important for picking a champ to onetrick. He always says that the champ should have agenda in soloQ, however Im not sure I can always determine that.
The biggest questions to answer when looking for a one-trick champion, IMO:
1) Do you enjoy playing the champion? Can you play them for literally hundreds of games without getting bored?
2) When the champion gets fed on the enemy team, how scared are you of them? This should be a general indication of their carry potential in solo queue (e.g. fed Master Yi vs. fed Sona)
3) Can you make your fingers do what they need to do for the champion to be effective? Timing Riven AA cancels vs. Nasus wither + bonk is completely different
These vidoes are so educational. I have been learning a lot from you Neace!
I enjoyed this one, I like seeing the difficult ones for an ADC so I can learn
The funny thing is everyone will cry about champs being easy and simple, but at the end of the day every champ is super hard to master, as a Cho’Gath OTP I can say yes, very simple champion indeed. But mastering him especially with getting counter picked every match, not to mention the amount of predictions has to be made with your Q’s, TOUGH thing to do. Every champ is difficult to master but in the end, one tricking a champ is the best way to climb
"every champ is super hard to master, as a Cho’Gath OTP "
@@JustShotsForMeh my comment was to imply that he thinks its super hard to master everyone, while he mains a perceived easy champ
@@JustShotsForMeh also what would be your hardest to master list because putting zoe on top of that is a little questionable
If this dude OTPs varus he can for sure make it to plat at least
Personally feel attacked XD with the 20 different Champs I play
Raise your hand if you've ever been personally victimized by Regina George.
I played the game for years and never did but maybe 6 ranked games. I stuck to norms because I knew I wasn't good enough. Now I play ranked and its a bunch of people who have no clue what's going on regardless whether they're on lock screen
@@joshuacox5817 See but that's part of the issue. You have an expectation of how others should play. Why is locked screen wrong? Because YOU know that they could be better without. So now you want them to be up to your standards.
I am very stupid and very much not good at the game but i must say i've learned more about volibear from 400 games then without them, So i instinctively want to learn more about him both because i think he's a great climbing champ as well as he's probably my favorite champ in the game right now jungle main enjoying life always the main until i'm forced off, always great content and information neace much love
This guy literally never used his W. It's screaming at the screen right now... so much missed damage. Was waiting for neace to say something.
He did use it in the won base defense to proc his Q dmg. Youre very right though there being many missed options.

He said it in the first 30 seconds. One trick
I feel like he got champ diffed pretty hard here too. Varus did not seem as strong as should have been with that item/level lead. Facing off against that Kog maw really accentuated this on several occasions
Hey neace bro, my question what u think about aram? Is it good training for smth? Or mb fully useless when u want to be a better?
Aram is a whole different game. If you want to improve make a ranked only account, and use your other account just to test out things so that the MMR doesn't get affected
I have something that i can tell you about tryn. Spin laugh is still in the game but not executable outside of practice tool cause unless u can get a one auto spin reset and i dont think its possible atm.
what about ulting during mid e? I always die coz ult wont go off during my e

Today I got flamed by my support for taking cleanse in a heavy CC botlane. Shrug
Side note….this was definitely a team to go dark harvest or comet into, with lethality. And just fling tactical nukes all over the map
i think nasus runs them over if he's lethality, he had a massive lead, he just threw it by not having a clue how to play late game
Great learning game. Student has huge potential here!
The pink in the Tri bush at the start was a dud call. No prio to even put that there.

adc kog is great theres a korean challenger rank 15 who otp him
I know everything down to starting stats/gained per lvl for my champ.
How tf do you choose one? Been playing forever. Have all champs. Played almost all (never Yuumi)

Same…. I’d like to know, my account has all the champs but is stuck hard
If you want to stay with that account the only way to fix it is to roll up your sleeves and be willing to grind a bunch of games and actually bust your ass in those games. Also unless you are like sub 40% WR your MMR isn't bad enough to where you can easily fix it through limiting your champ pool and focusing on your own play rather than your team's.

I hate people uisng the term 'mastered' unless they can evidently claim they're AT LEAST top 3 of that champ in their region
This is almost as worse as when people say they can play "any role"
@@automaticcaptions To be fair, it's all relative. If they're bragging about how great they are, take em down as many pegs as you like. On the other hand, many people learned how to fill in Blind and have a general idea how each role functions. There's a huge difference between knowing/playing each role vs maining a role in ranked, but unfortunately the game doesn't let you only practice only one role nor does it teach you anything about them, nor anything about game modes so people learning are up a creek either way. It takes the rude awakening of playing ranked to figure that out, and when half the player base doesn't touch ranked, you do the math.

Wasn't the secret to spam one/very few champions?
"It's crazy how obvious this secret sounds, but amazing how barely anyone does it. Consider a plat one trick, even they don't do it."
Don't plat one tricks do exactly that?
He won’t W+Q. One of the strongest things about Varus is his crazy range….w/q on your way in and on your way out….if you nail someone or more than one before you commit to fight….you will most likely win
