Hey Neace, just wanted to let you know - I’ve been a hardstuck low bronze player for YEARS. It’s honestly embarrassing. I got placed Iron 2 this season and I’ve been dedicated to watching your videos since I discovered you about 6 weeks ago. I mean, congrats to her for trying to improve. But videos like this really emphasize how difficult this game is to learn. There are so many micro and macro things you have to account for its overwhelming. Even just learning to kite is hard for a new player. Honestly, for someone this new, I'd pick one subject and focus on that. CSing, kiting, camera movement, itemizing, etc. Pick one and say get better at this, once you are competent at skill #1 we'll learn skill #2.
You could make the same argument about Basketball or MMA. Any discipline that has a profitable league is of course going to have a difficult barrier to entry. Its why fans pay hand over fist to watch.
@@MRFutchyDutchy While I agree that there's no definite time, after a year of playing this game, you're not new, not at all. One cannot still be considered new after playing many hundreds of hours (that's how long it takes to get level 220). So at what point does that player just become "bad" instead of "new"?
Can you make a video of all the little tips and settings a player should know about before starting league? This would help a lot of new players! 1. attack move 2. 0 HUD scale 3. Warding in a bush 4. Turning off lock screen and how to use it properly 5. P to open shop, escape to close shop 6. Ctr+key to lvl up skills 7. etc
As soon as I started playing league (2011) I changed a hotkey to open a shop from P to T (emotes on Y if ure wondering). It's closer to QWER being more comfortable to open and close the shop. Closing is T again - you don't have to press ESC to close the shop - just tap T again. Much more comfortable than going around a whole keyboard from P to ESC. If something's uncomfortable, just make it comfortable for you, don't fight with it for no reason if you don't have to. Edit: At around 29:00 - 'A' as an attack move click takes two inputs instead of just pressing A as an attack move. It's slower and awkward to use the second mouse button instead of just simply pressing A.
Something I found useful in learning to play unlocked screen was to practice clearing jg camps in practice tool with unlocked camera. I am not a jg main but it taught me a lot about how the jg works and its low stakes but basically you learn to move the camera to the next camp you are going to. It still took me a pvp games to fully get used to it but it helped me panic a lot less.
Honestly P for shop is new knowledge to me. Also it wasn’t until watching Neace’s videos that I realized how important it is to level up abilities with control.
@@rimmer62 i get kinda tilted that neace doesnt tell this to his clients instead of escape. p to open, p to close. i dont ever use escape to close my shop its kinda awkward for me i guess idk
wow lmao took me like 10 levels... i kept losing fights because id level up mid fight and be forced to choose between attacking or leveling up the skill. its hot hard. if you can keybind something to the keyboard, you should. otherwise you're pretty much cutting off your own arm
Coming from playing years of high elo Dota, I didn't even know locked camera was a thing as default for League. Why they even have locked camera in League as default is beyond my understanding. They should just remove that completely. My issue with League coming from Dota 2 is just not knowing what champions do in this game, how much I can get away without feeding on each champion, and how much the enemy's champions can do. This is important when you go into later stages of the game. In here I just don't know how much damage I can take on each champion and if I can trade against an enemy champion if I'm equal, behind or ahead. Or just even knowing how much tower damage I can take without feeding. Those are hard to grasp without just playing for years and years against different matchups.
12:50 if she honors this wager (cause she definitely lost that game), you should totally do another video with her. It's nice to watch beginners come back and show how much they've improved, and pick up new things to get better at. Like I'd be thrilled if she came back in a month or 2 in silver 1, on her way into gold or something
Bruh what kinda people do you see climbing from Bronze IV (I’d wager even Iron level) to Silver I in 2 months? I’ve been hardstuck Bronze I for like 3-4 months now.
@@abcdefghilihgfedcba I've got a buddy that never played a moba in his life and immediately climbed from bronze to gold in a single season in solo que. Don't give me that crap; everyone starts in different places, but growth is plenty possible if you really want to improve
when I swapped from locked camera to unlocked the middle mouse button drags camera option really helped me out, you can make quick micro adjustments to your camera position in lane without moving your mouse too far from your character and for moving your screen bigger distances either clicking on minimap or just edge of screen scrolling is fine. Also when they left click on the mini map and it moves their character, there is an option to turn your left click to Attack move without hitting A i think its a check box at the bottom of hotkeys but that's a good option to know about because I see a lot of clients have issues with left clicking on minimap moving them and thats probably why(this client didn't have it enabled), I don't know if Neace knows about that option for other clients that might have it on though.
12:44 "What do I get if that's not the case? What do I win?" She pauses and is trying to figure out if you mean *snu snu*. Poor nervous girl and poor flustered Neace. Very fun vid to watch :)
@@CR-bs1tl let’s be honest it’s what a huge amount of us viewers were thinking to as soon as I heard him say it I went “Aye yo!?” Had me hella confused then he clarified lol
One tip I think would help a lot of new unlock camera people, is to lower the screen scroll sensitivity so that the screen moves slower. As they get better they can increase the scroll screen.
@neace Make sure you're checking attack move and attack move click keybinds, especially for adc's and their keybinds. I noticed that this client was having trouble kiting by clicking where she wanted to go and then accidentally clicking next to an enemy, forcing her champ to move closer, fucking up her kite.
You don't need to tell them to press esc to close the shop. Pressing P again also does that. Since they already pressed it, it is one less key they have to learn to reach for. Right?
One method I used when transitioning to 100% unlocked camera was to go in a practice tool, cs for 5-10 min with unlocked cam, get a rough idea of what it feels like, then proceed to play a Coop/AI game with unlocked cam. Next game I played in a norm, then a ranked game. It worked out pretty well for me and I was able to smoothly transition to fully unlocked cam within a few games.
This is what I recommended to people as well. Play like 5 Coop/AI games with unlocked camera. It will suck at first but that's why we do it in a bot game, so you don't have to worry that you'll lose LP for learning something. Also adjust that camera scroll speed. Once I lowered it a bit unlocked camera didn't feel so panic inducing cause I could actually make micro camera adjustments instead of it flying off to midlane.
I find crazy that she paid for a highly qualified teacher when she still hasnt even practiced or researched the basics. Is Neace that affordable in the US? I should consider moving there 😂
It's $275 for a Neace coaching on stream. I think it was mentioned at the end of the video that her boyfriend may have paid for her coaching? I don't know for sure what the situation was with that. I was a bit worried that she said she would practice things before the game, but first-timed them for the coaching. I guess she was busy and didn't have time for it? Only explanation I have. But then she lied later saying she WAS practicing, but was still bad at it, of which Neace called out. Reminds me of a student I saw lying their way through school until the teacher was like "Yeah, the computer didn't screw up for the 10th time and fail to save your project properly, finish by the end of the week or I'm failing you." and suddenly they had a fire lit under their buns to actually do work. And they actually passed the class by the end because the teacher stopped letting them get away with excuses LOL I think her nervous laughter was the only thing keeping Neace from yelling at her, you could tell she knew she messed up and was trying to actively fix things as she went. I hope to see her progress. I think she can make a great duo partner for her boyfriend someday, maybe even boost him to Diamond and get banned together because she boosted him and not the other way around :D Jokes aside, still early to tell, but who knows. She's literally played one game since her coaching, so not much to go off of so far. Good luck to her.
@@SCriBBledUpMinD people pay not for the coaching i think. Like sure its part of it. But i honestly think people want to get on youtube and have something to show their friends Still over priced. I make really good decent money and i couldn't see myself ever spending 300 on a one time session

You certainly can press p to open and close, but he's trying to show the closing, not how to open. The P to open shop wasn't the point. Your hand is on your mouse when you go through the shop. You want to put your hand back on the keyboard to press p, then put your hand back on the mouse again to start clicking away? Wasted time and movement. Just press Esc, granny.
@@ClassicChrisGaming why would you use your mouse hand to press p. That's a waste of time. Use your keyboard hand. If you know your keyboard like the back of your hand, it's just as fast and natural feeling as pressing esc.
@@rimmer62 The lesson was to get her to close the shop with esc to stop her from using the mouse. He's just giving the shortcut that opens the shop with P, to get her to close with esc as practice. I never once from the very start of playing league played locked screen. I hate locked screen so much. Makes me miss skill shoots when my screen is moving on me while I’m trying to aim. If I need to adjust my screen I just quickly use the mouse against the side of screen but if that isn’t a good option than I just do the good old space bar tap.
Neace , a quick hint maybe , people are " automatic " so you say PRESS P and then ESC to close the shop , i think people will find it easier if u just say press p to open also press p to close the shop.. This way they might remember it faster , great vids been watching for a month and ive improved my self just by watching ur vids!
Hey NEACE, idk if you read these but there is a top 3 "Age of Empires" pro player quitting Age to play League. His name is "Hera" and he's been a world champion before, he's also responsible for creating a large sum of the educational content for Age of Empirers. I'd be insanely hyped if you made a video with him. He's got a huge Age following who are considering going with him to League and I think your videos could help a lot of those people. I hope you read this, it would be so insanely hype to see him work with you. As far as he's told his play-base, he's high-plat Plat right now and peaked Masters. I'm just so curious on how one of the best Age players in the world would approach high elo league, and I'd be super excited to see how you interact with that.
i love practice tool episodes, i understand shit way easier (i already knew kiting but with any new subject i understand it better in practice tool explaination)
See I couldn't get my fingers around the A left click right click over and over. So I just have left click for player attack move without having to press the A. Works much easier for me.
Neace - Is S slower than MB2, is that why you recommended it? I use MB2 for Target Champion only and S for Stop. Shouldn't make a difference... unless MB2 allows you kite easier?
Neace, I love the vids, but please bind attack move on mouse for new players. Its so much easier for them to understand. Left click to attack then right click to move away, then left then right... ect. Ive never understood why people are so attached to the a button.
In a different video he explained he wants them to use the A click because A shows you your range, which a lot of players don't know. Ashe has really long range but this player kept standing on top of minions and enemy champions alike. Obviously she's new, so we don't expect her to already know everyone max range, so by forcing them to press A all the time, it slowly gets worked into their head. Personally, I agree with you. I think binding Attack Move Click to a button is much easier for kiting as I can just alternate between that and right click, but I also understand his reasoning as well to sorta get people to understand that the circle is their safe space and to only get as close as you need to instead of running in melee range as an ADC.
I think she didn't get what the components function of the A > L.Click > R.Click were when it was used together. New information doesn't always stick well in short term memory. You did show her initially what each did in parts, but breaking it down and reiterating after might have helped. It may have been in the time lapses. But explaining that the A>L.Click is just initiating an auto attack on the closest target to cursor and then the right click is moving after the attack finishes to kite. [A>L.Click(Attack)]>[R.Click(Move)], Attack, Move, Attack, Move, Attack, Move... Maybe not though, I could be wrong, I'm not a coach. I just know when I was learning this, it wasn't explained to me I was just told to do the A>L.Click>R.Click and it'll be fine. Didn't work well for me until I understood what was happening.
I feel like there was HUUUUUUUUUUGE missed opportunity to have Neace pop onto the screen with the "peeping Teemo, subscribe now" message he normally does right after: 3:55 Even the action at that point was kinda low, so it wouldn't have impacted the video much
Thanks for explaining kiting in idiot-proof terms. Just 1 month into the game and it never really clicked with me, the idea of A + left click till now. Quick question tho, for non range auto attack champions like Garen for example do you still use this method to interweave auto attacks or is it mostly right clicking on enemy/creep and then right click away? And any thoughts on to binding A to a mouse button so my pinky can stay on Q? I know the indicator no longer stays when you do this, but the premise is the same. With the hand moving between A and Q it makes me misclick all the time. Sometimes I mean to press Q and accidentally press A and vice versa. Also this is really my first hardcore computer game, strictly a controller user before this, so trying to make it as least complicated as possible. Thanks appreciate it!
Been playing since season 5 and a little trick i picked up that 100% makes kiting super easy. If attack move left click. They added that setting maybe a year or 3 ago (before you needed to mod you ini files) but its basically A click on your left mouse button. So i auto attack with my left and move with my right. Works great on adcs and even bruises when you are doing early game trading.
@@angelgu323 Thanks for this, I've heard of that before too and might have to give it a shot and see if it's any better. My brain just gets so fried sometimes and using my pinky for A, when I've never really used it before like this. Plus it feels awkward since my hand tends to not be in an optimal position to move the pinky down like that without accidentally pressing another key or button mashing.
When you're melee, cancelling normal animations are just as important as they are for ranged champions. Cancelling them properly will let you keep up with or overtake enemies. Just look at any of his Trynd games for reference. If you mean for the 'attack move' bit, still yes. Because you don't want to click into/through your target. You gotta actually click them. Especially if you're facechecking bushes, too. ('Tho don't facecheck bushes if you're not confident you'll live).
DON'T USE ATTACK MOVE LEFT CLICK! It is really bad. Yes the option is there and it actually feels awesome at first but it's a trap! What if you just want to click on someone/something to get more infos? You'll start running towards it, attacking. What if you want to ping items/summoner spells/cooldowns? You just run towards what lies underneath, attacking. There are many other things that go wrong with this total shitty implemented and not well thought out feature. DON'T USE ATTACK MOVE LEFT CLICK! You can't say I didn't warn you. I play jungle and mostly bruisers, i use attack move click all the time though. (I set it to the thumb mouse button.) Also on a sidenote, I only use my pinky for shift and control. Ring finger on Q. From what I heard it might be 50/50 along the community. Personal preference. Takes a while to get used to the controls, even after 4 years i stil press the wrong button from time to time.
@@gameconcept1196 are you just bad at the game? Ive been using it for almost 6 years now and there are some SMALL hicups like you mentioned. But for the most part it is very very very helpful compared to having to use A click. All those hiccups can easy be worked around. It has helped me hit plat more often than not helping me
This is not the most productive kind of coaching though. This kind of stuff is too basic for you to be paying to get it, because you can have it for free. Like this, Neace can't give you personalized advice, because you haven't got the basics down. IMO before considering coaching you need to have mastered the things Neace complains about every session (leveling with keys, attack-move, camera control, etc...). If you got all that down, Neace can actually teach you how to carry, which is what he is here for.
I'm sorry but this was by far the slowest client I've ever seen. At the end with the clicking thing too... I admire your patience Neace but wow what a test
Anyone else just have a key like “T” bound to attack move click? That way I don’t have to “A” I just hit “T”. I’d leave the other way but I just don’t see the benefits. I feel if you have a good understanding of your champs aa range it’s more efficient to just click the button?
Tbf i was also confused what neace wanted her to do because He Said right click but dont move so i also thought He meant somehow she should right click near the Dummy without her champ moving there which makes No Sense lol
Im assuming you mean attack move click put it on A, but what that doesn't do is show you your attack range which as an adc is very important to have since you want to keep them at max range at all times
@@Sorest2 Yeah but the client is bronxe with like 50 games on her champs. I haven't seen a high elo adc Player yet that doesn't know the range of their champ well. There's a diff between what the two need
Seems like with your sports analogies you always get people that it doesn't relate to at all. Maybe one that would stick more is driving. I know when I first started driving even 10km/hr in the parking lot was overwhelming for my brain. I hit the break and car lurches forward, couldn't come to an easy stop. Everything was super clunky, but now controls are really smooth
I got it. He said "right click and don't move". So she thought she needed to right click and somehow to make MF not move. So they were messed up if by "don't move" Neace meant "KinkKitten, don't move your mouse", with KinkKitten thinking "MF shouldn't be moving, why is she doing that? I need to get back"
I have my control remapped to my caps lock, way easier to hit! (Actually originally did this because it makes programming easier, but makes games easier too)
ikr? much easier if its just A + RC. I have no idea why setting it up with the extra LC considering Neace is all about efficiency. to see the range maybe?
Do you vod review games neace? Cuz if u don't i think you should, like right after the game people play, review it and explain in depth what they are doing wrong, just a suggestion.
watching people who aren't comfortable with unlocked camera is really uncomfy for me, i consistently move my own mouse thinking it'll somehow move their screen so i can gain more information. i play in silver currently and i'm not some god tier league player, i just took it to heart when neace and other coaches say "camera ahead" or "camera forward"

When he asks her to push A and its the assist ping, that got me so good lmao. that's a new one lol

It's nice to watch beginners come back and show how much they've improved, and pick up new things to get better at. when I swapped from locked camera to unlocked the middle mouse button drags camera option really helped me out, you can make quick micro adjustments to your camera position in lane without moving your mouse too far from your character and for moving your screen bigger distances either clicking on minimap or just edge of screen scrolling is fine.

One tip I think would help a lot of new unlock camera people, is to lower the screen scroll sensitivity so that the screen moves slower. As they get better they can increase the scroll screen.
15:20 - You're not Garen!... that's Garen, there's Garen right there, and he is f*cking pissed xD
Right?
Always good to see new players joining the game. Very good concepts taught in this video
I should consider moving there 😂
expensive
And they actually passed the class by the end because the teacher stopped letting them get away with excuses LOL
I think her nervous laughter was the only thing keeping Neace from yelling at her, you could tell she knew she messed up and was trying to actively fix things as she went.
I hope to see her progress. I think she can make a great duo partner for her boyfriend someday, maybe even boost him to Diamond and get banned together because she boosted him and not the other way around :D
Jokes aside, still early to tell, but who knows. She's literally played one game since her coaching, so not much to go off of so far. Good luck to her.

What song is at 17:28. I’ve been trying to figure it out for weeks.

Yooo I'm the senna in this game!! It was so much fun
In the end he seas. A, left click, Right click. but I don't know what "Right click" is supposed to do.
can some one tell me?
i love practice tool episodes, i understand shit way easier (i already knew kiting but with any new subject i understand it better in practice tool explaination)
See I couldn't get my fingers around the A left click right click over and over. So I just have left click for player attack move without having to press the A. Works much easier for me.
'My sports metaphor is KITE BACK KITE BACK'
At 30:30 is why I love watching Neace coach
I think binding Attack Move Click to a button is much easier for kiting as I can just alternate between that and right click, but I also understand his reasoning as well to sorta get people to understand that the circle is their safe space and to only get as close as you need to instead of running in melee range as an ADC.
isn't p -> p much more efficient to open and close the shop?
Yikes, I’d much prefer to check the box for “set left click as attack move”. Does a majority of players use A?
Left click is very useful for many things. I set one of my keyboard keys as attack move on cursor
Edit: Sorry, it's called "Player attack move click"
Her: yell at me more!
Neace: I think we need some action
Bro wtf
I feel like there was HUUUUUUUUUUGE missed opportunity to have Neace pop onto the screen with the "peeping Teemo, subscribe now" message he normally does right after: 3:55
Even the action at that point was kinda low, so it wouldn't have impacted the video much
This was very, VERY informative. I can start thinking about playing kindred now
Thanks for explaining kiting in idiot-proof terms.
(I set it to the thumb mouse button.)
Also on a sidenote, I only use my pinky for shift and control.

Why A -> left click -> right click instead of just bind A to attack click and just A -> right click?
Im assuming you mean attack move click put it on A, but what that doesn't do is show you your attack range which as an adc is very important to have since you want to keep them at max range at all times

@@Sorest2 Yeah but the client is bronxe with like 50 games on her champs. I haven't seen a high elo adc Player yet that doesn't know the range of their champ well. There's a diff between what the two need
Seems like with your sports analogies you always get people that it doesn't relate to at all. Maybe one that would stick more is driving. Everything was super clunky, but now controls are really smooth
I don't have a driving license, never had a car. I have no idea what you're talking about. 😉
