This was me being coached. I really appreciate it. It takes hearing it for real to change a mind set. Unfortunately this mind set I had bleeds over into my real life as well, but From here I’m going to make a change. I’ll check back in a few months with progress updates!
This is good mental.
thats wassup dude, it will b aight take this as a lesson n learn frm it
If you sharpen your yas mechs and consistency and can see a diamond 4 this season
Damn, this is the first time I've seen replay for the person being coached. It'd be cool to hear from those guys how they're doing after few months ( aka a progress update in the comments ). Anyway goodluck dude
Best of luck man
27:55 Neace: Imagine if in Mario every time you died, you spawned and jumped different height, threw a different ability, and ran at different speed.
The binding of Isaac players: (monkey puppet meme)
Neace is right though, you can't consistently win in The binding of Isaac because of that.
@@morosov4595 Search for Sinvicta, my man had a 1000 win streak
A Yasuo player thinking they are better than they are? Impossible.
I mean yasuo just gives people protagonist syndrome 🤷
@@jzoetheshit u mean down syndrome

@@gavinward8530 #friendsdontcountchromosomes
@@gavinward8530 By the way man, if you want to main yasuo, it’s one of the best experiences in this game. In addition, you have a lot of space for improving, and if you reached gold with this mechanics ( which aren t that terrible but aren’t neither good, speaking honestly), if you’ll master him, you’ll easily reach platinum imo. Good luck
I mean it is really tempting to pick new champs once in a while. But doing it while trying to climb ranks is actually diffcult bc all the champs are really mechanically different. You wont be able to play the game if u dont know how to play your champ. For those who try new champions in ranked, I hope both sides of your pillow is hot.
@qeuarfbhq3iwushbq probably to make up for people that get all their picks banned, autofilled, etc etc, you cant play your main if you cant play your main, this is a double edged sword, you either make it so you have to play a number of games on a champ in norms before you can play ranked and have it so every player is forced into a niche for their playstyle and the champ they want to play, or you leave it as is, because theres cons with both, if they do nothing there will be complaints, if they do SOMETHING there will be complaints
If you’re someone who has played a variety of game genres and don’t limit yourself to mobas, picking up a champion first time in league of legends is easy. It’s becoming a common thing where people who excelled at other games tend to pick up league unbelievably easy. Jojo fortnite, guma starcraft, wunder WoW. To add to the WoW one. Your character has 30+ abilities in that game. League has 4. 1 of those is typically a long cd ultimate. League feels easy right after switching games. Mechanically I mean. Macro and smart decision making is different but mechanics and reading comprehension is all one needs to pick up a new champ.
Don’t oversell the skillset required to pick up a champion. Especially when the new champions All have reused overkitted abilities with minimal varying effects.
Break the stigma that you should only learn one role. I bet the same people who cry about ppl not playing their most played champions are the ones that are hardstuck playing the Same Role. I can assure you that if you’re decent at every role, picking up a new champ is easy if your education is good enough to have the reading comprehension skills. Reading + mechanics is all you need.
If you don’t have hands, No Shit you can’t 1st time champs.
Im built different i first time all the time and will do better than the rest of my team
@qeuarfbhq3iwushbq i think that'd work if everybody had more than a couple champs, probably less than 30 but still, but you have to account for unlucky games where your pick gets taken, or banned, griefed, whatever it is, if you only main one or two champs then it essentially forces a dodge if you dont have another champ with those 10 games played right, then players complain about queue timers because they couldn't even lock in a champ based on games played, coincidently this encourages diversity when it comes to champs people play to combat the bans/picks, but ultimately theres going to be times when you're absolutely cucked by that system if you don't have a 20 champ roster that covers every role within those 20, accounting for counterpicks, your team comp and what they need/don't, etc etc
@qeuarfbhq3iwushbq but i buy unranked smurf accounts i dont wanna have to play any norms before i go to ranked lol
"I can always lock in Garen top and climb"
Welp I have recently proven to myself that I can't. Working on it though
Keep at it you got this
Top is a pretty coinflip role to climb on unless you’re smurfing and dominate the enemy. especially now that you cant make tp plays til after 14 minutes. Mid/support are easier to climb on
Great video and great job to the student! Lots of negative comments, the people criticizing the student don't know how hard it is to play with someone in your ear. Its very easy to watch a video and point out errors.
Too many players in league are cocky and think they make 0 mistakes. I guarantee if we would watch the people talking trash replay of their games they would make just as many errors and not live up to their trash talk.
dude, one minute and thirty seven seconds into the video and you just fixed my biggest hurdle, I always get bored of champs I onetrick even though I am really good at them, But this really was just a wake up call by a few simple words of "do you want to rank up or not." Thank you Neace, you are always awesome with your coachings.
welcome to common sence? i guess?
Thanks for the content neace, I was hard stuck gold for two years, got to platinum this season with 54% win rate over all and 62% win rate with my main pick. Next goal is diamond, hopefully I can make it this season.
I got out of gold like 6 years ago. still not diamond. Good luck :)! XD
Good luck BRO!! Update us
Lot of mechanical misplays. Biggest one is using E wrong very often, uses it for damage rather than to dodge or gapclose. Never dodges Darius q by dashing onto him
Bingo
Ye but climbing is not realy about mechanics, in season9 i climbed to d4 with just kartush jungle in like 110 games , you need to know what your champ is supposed to be doing and when, i have literaly 0 mechanics and I can hit dia easy, but high dia and Master+ is realy hard without hands xd
Yup always e a minion instead of the champ when gapclosing if you have a choice
What a gentle creature
This is part of why I struggle to play ranked games, because I get bored too I relate to that. even with my favorite champs in the game I just get bored. I haven’t even finished placements cus it feels painful to just stick to one or two things. I’d rather be playing norms were I can do whatever I feel like and it’s no big deal.
I do that but in ranked lol

honestly thats the best coaching one can get. not sitting over minor game fundamentals that are unintuitive for a new player, but crafting a player that will be able to improve and get better at the game.
20:51 Lillia prancing to the beat
Glad to see a Yasuo coaching and Neaco not urging the client to play anything else. Would have loved to see more macro explanations but it wasn't a game where he really could have explained a lot.
I have played Vayne for 10 years. I have never once been bored playing that beautiful champion
What a curious gentle creature that Lillia was
I feel like, until you’ve gotten to a point where “playing league of legends” means “playing [champion]”, where [champion] is your one trick, you haven’t understood the level of comfort you’re supposed to feel
Oh yeah, when you do shit that looks high skill and crazy for others which is just another day of playing your otp for you. For me that is blind snipes with W or R on Jhin. W looks way more cool because the hit box is a bit smaller and it doesn't do as much damage.
Or kiting with traps, crit speed and W, I can probably run around the whole map doing just that.
Baiting enemy's poke while moving like you go for an auto but then just bouncing your grenade off of three low hp casters doing some serious damage. Or swerving around skillshots with his high ms. Or my favourite (which doesn't require any skill whatsoever to do but looks very angry and menacing) - flash 4th shot into kill and then just running away giggling.
This might not be the most mechanically challenging champion and he doesn't have too flashy of a gameplay like Yasuo, Yone or Riven might, but still I love this champion to bits and I don't even need to think about mechanical stuff while playing him. He's like my hands' and brain's extention at this point. I often get complimented by teammates even when I'm playing bad by my own standards. I absolutely cannot farm on other champions because I'm used to his fixed attack speed value and reloading.
This was honestly just a very tough matchup for him
Morde, Sett, and Darius are all strong against Yasuo and that's their top mid and jgl, all he had left to impact the game with was bot lane, and his own bot lane was feeding them hard
Sometimes the game just doesn't want you to win, honestly this looked like one of those games for him
i came early, just like in real life

I started to play the game this year and I already have my main, I think is very important so you dont fall into madness while trying to learn this overwhelming competitive enviroment. Yet I still try many champs to see what suits me better, I'm pass lvl 30 and I dont feel ready to enter ranked but, Im looking forward to it, trying to learn first and adapt. This video is very important to many players I think, and I feel it was really worth it to watch. Thanks Neace :).
What region do you play on? I’d like to play sometime and give you some tips etc
People have mixed opinions on this but playing ranked is the best way to improve if you are at least confident with your mechanics
Seen this live on fb. Keep up the great work neace.
20:50 Lilia just started running down top?
That gentle creature needs a permaban
that e on sett at 4:00 isn't deadly if he e's back to the cannon minnion before the w goes off than re-engage through the casters
"I get bored."
Well hey, on the bright side, he still has the option to go into norms or ARAM from time to time.
I have the same problem im trapped between wanting to tryhard and climb and getting bored of playing the same champ more than twice in a row
I love it you are popping off on youtube!!! The grind popping and paying off
where can I find the background playlist?
great vid as always
laughed pretty hard at brushing teeth analogy
Biggest mistake I would say is he Es insta on his target then he gets kited instead of just walking up and Qing then EQ knock up. Did very well recovering and not feeding after the 2kills though
That Mario example was effective.
"even if i have the ability to beat mario, if it's a randomly generated game, you just can't beat it." oh you think so huh?
3:25 eq missed cant use eq from that close cause its a fixed distance dash
'gentle creature'
watched the whole thing lol :)
Neace, I have been playing lots of normals lately trying lots of champions I have a few I really enjoy playing
Do you think it’s a good idea to give all champs a go to find out how they play? Because after playing a champ once or twice I feel like I have a decent understanding how to compete in lane against them
Once I start pushing ranked soon how many hero’s should I be playing, I was thinking 2-3 depending on bans but mainly stick to 2
the mario analogy was on point
As someone who only recently got into the game(since November 2021)and has pretty much only played blind and draft, I really dont get the whole ranked thing. Tried getting into it. Can someone explain the appeal?
Emmmmm get a rank?
"How often do you see Doublelift playing top? And he has been playing for 10 years." *Tyler1, challenger in all roles, enters the chat*
Whats the song playing though?
I dig it.
First timing is bad, but what if you know a lot of champions and counterpick? I don't main anyone but always try to counterpick, if there is nothing in the list that I feel comfortable with then I pick something I know for SURE that I can play well even behind
Depends on the skill difference with your opponent on the Champs you play and obviously what lane you play
No point counter picking if you don’t understand why they are counters and actually punish them. A good jax will wipe the floor with a first time Darius who ‘counter picked’
God this is something I'm bad for. I like learning nee things more but I need to stick to one role and like 3 champs. The only role I do that consistently is adc I play
Kog, Draven, jhin
I need to fix this myself
Really liking your pacing in your videos Neace!
Seems like he is eager to learn
Niece, I have the same problem as this guy here, my question for you is here how do I pick a champion to main? I've been fucking around gold playing whatever, how do I go and say "yes, I wanna play THIS champ only" is there any criteria I can use other than "i kinda like this champ"?
one you like and which you seem to win often with. We all have more natural playstyles which fit certain champs better than others
For me it comes down to how cool they look to me lol
Hey neace, a friend of mine permanently says he is really good and deserves higher elo, and he constantly blames his teammates, i tell him if u were better you d be higher than silver now, his answer is always the same: yeah its because my teammates, they always feed etc.. i have no idea how to destroy this mentality XDDDDDDDD
I’m dealing with this from my most recent duo partner. He watches Neace from time to time, so I don’t understand the disconnect. I keep telling him he’s the common denominator in all his games and he says that shitty teammates are the common denominator lol.
I Have a question neace. What separates a challenger player from a pro player? Is it mainly team synergy or are pros actually “better”?
Can you walk me through your thought process? Why are you comparing challengers to pros?
A pro is simply someone who plays professionally, e.g. as their job. You don't have to be Challenger to go pro and vice versa.
@@2Grills1Kappa being at least challenger is a requirement to play in lcs I believe. It's not that hard of a thought process to follow my guy. Simply this person wants to know what NEACE thinks is the main difference in skill level between someone who is challenger and someone who is good enough to play the game for big money.
@Snaw Bird I am aware that I sound rude at times. I could spend more time drafting something better but I don't want to invest much more time on this topic than 30 minutes already.
Thank you for the taking the time to comment. However, the ironic thing about communication is that we assume we have understood someone, when in reality we did not. I lack the ability to read people's minds; else I wouldn't be asking these questions. I assume you lack the ability, too.
Because of your answer, I've researched the LoL LEC Official Rules for 2022. The rank Challenger is not an official requirement to play in Riot's official league system. It says the following under Section 3.1.16.
"All Players on a Team Roster must have held a peak rating of Diamond 3 or above in 5v5 Summoner’s Rift Ranked Solo/Duo or Ranked Flex at the end of the last ranked Season or in the current Season."
Pro players are high LP challengers. There's an absolutely massive gap between a regular challengers (500 LP) versus the top of the ladder 1000 LP plus.
Everything and nothing. Pretty sure most if not all pros are challenger. Because teams aren't going to sign people who aren't ridiculously gifted at the game.
That being said, many high LP challengers would get dicked on in pro games. We've seen it time and time again.
5v5 ranked teams is WAY different from soloQ. The metas are different, the plays are different, the play styles are different, the communication is different, it's just an entirely separate animal across the board.
They can't be directly compared for that reason.
Lol I wish I didnt see myself in this guy, I am but a gentle creature.
People selling pots for a buy and leaving base when they hit 60 gold naturally make me die inside a little.
GROUP GROUP , GROUP!!!!! Gentle creatures.
I think Chill Neace is starting to affect regular Neace, turning him into a gentle creature.
gentle creature.
99% of the league community: I’m challenger! I know it! 🤣
I think playing one character is bad advice and I’ve never agreed with it. Maybe it’s cause I’ve played many champs and stick to two lanes. But there is a place to counter pick. Why set yourself up going against like malphite as vayne cause you main her when a tanker build with some passive healing is better. I get the point is to give people an opportunity to learn the fundamentals and get a idea of how to push an advantage every game and consistency definitely does that. But so does having like 3-5 good solid picks in your lane that covers a variety of play styles. I feel hindered if I don’t take that into consideration. Idk how many games I play though in low elo and it’s literally the only person they know and if they get banned or it’s countered they lose. Brand new players and low elo 100% need to sit down and learn that stuff. Half of them don’t even know more then one lane and it’s literally a requirement to pick two. So while yes cutting your champion pool down from like four lanes and fifty champions is good. Don’t get the idea that you are doing your team a favor only knowing top garen or nocturn jungle. All the high elo one tricks still know other champions and lanes they can fall back on. It also helps tremendously knowing all the different abilities and play styles of other champions so you know how they play when your against them. So yes cutting down champion pool is important but so is actually learning the game, it’s mechanics, champions and bolstering a reasonable amount of flexibility when it matters
@qeuarfbhq3iwushbq ya that’s fair I mean I am self aware. I know it helps a lot for new players. But it sucks that they take that as hard fact and it comes back against them. But ya that’s true top lane is really in a weird spot rn. I have 1 or 2 champions it doesn’t matter who I’m against for the most part but otherwise that’s true. And then sometimes the game messes with you and throws you first pick for eight games ina row. But even mid lane or sometimes bot. A vayne main will pick vayne every time adc even if she knows damn well she’s gonna get kited by the ezreal/jinx and Leona bot lol. So more often then not I’m just wondering if they are actually learning the game and how it works or if they’re just copying verbatim every single thing they hear from a pro player and expecting it to work😂😂
Yeah I feel that if you aren't able to counterpick to some extent you're not really actually playing the game, but I think he insists on that because he gets a lot of clients who are already struggling with 1 champ and they need the stability and discipline of mastering one thing first.
@@MisterMunkki ya see that’s why I see why it can be a positive thing. Because most of these people haven’t committed to anyone and just coin flip every pick. So getting consistency in the door and variation later is a good idea. Maybe just make people aware that’s not how it’s always gonna be like when someone plays bad and he says they won’t always be able to take advantage of that. Or maybe tell them to try pick up two more in the practice tool after the sessions is done or something
It ain't that deep bro. Sure you need to learn champs but don't put yourself at a disadvantage by doing "I'm gonna play this champ cause it's a counter pick even though I have little to no experience with them" have a small pool of good champs to main.
@@uc79newtype Counterpicking literally puts you at an advantage. Obviously don't play champs you don't know lol

And in league I play every game a different champ. Every season I have like 100+ champs played. I still get to diamond every season
I do think he has a point tho, I don't really play ranked to climb to Diamond 1 tricking Karthus, that's not fun to me and that's not skill. I'd rather play each lane and get to Diamond that way to prove to myself I'm good enough to get to Diamond with different roles. and that's also fun to me, but I'm not complaining cause I'm not climbing, I know why I'm not but I don't really care. If that makes sense?

I don't get why people don't just play normal games. If you're bored with your main champs go queue normals and troll around with whatever you want without losing LP. If you don't care about climbing, sure, you can queue fill and play a random champ every game in ranked and troll your teammates, but I don't get why someone would pay this much for coaching if your rank can be improved immediately with advice as simple as 'stop throwing games by picking random champs you dont know how to play'

He should pick a simple melee mid and just stick to it. I say melee mid because he does seem to have good melee baseline mechanics, just not Yasuo lol.

Macro has issues but the core problem here is kinda the micro haha. Maybe he is off form but the micro is too lacking in this game. Is a regular pool of 10 champs too many?
Yes. Limit
2-3 max if your goal is to climb
so champions should have some carry over to other lanes like zed mid can go zed jungle? incase we get autofilled
For those curious my regular champs are Illaoi, Camille, Evelyn, Jayce, Karma, Sett, Blitz, Renata, Sivir, and Nami. Pretty much in that order.
@@ekronson1469 that would help but I'd played the game so long and so much I was able to get 3 champs for top and jungle. Those are my main roles. I learned jungle for autofill as it's the most common autofilled role.
To be fair, that lilia was getting shit on in her own jungle by 2 to 3 of the enemy team for every blue it seemed. Its super tilting as a Jungler.
So much telling of what to do but no explanation as to why a lot of the time. How are they supposed to take it into practice if they arent understanding the reason your doing things like lane manipulation.
