A lot depends on one's personal choices and experiences. I was born in 1950, and in general terms, I can say that I have viewed the future with optimism. What were consudered luxuries became affordable everyday conveniences.
We can look back through the proverbial 'rose coloured glasses', but overall, we have a more comfortable lifestyle (ask any woman who used a 'mangle').
Now, I see a dark future with the emergence of sectarian political forces challenging our democratic secular existence.
I see our freedoms being eroded by those seeking a naive environmental utopia.
Our free speech and chosen language are suppressed by weird political correctness.
Acronyms like WHO and WEF will have an increasingly sinister relevance.

@@_Why_123 . Philosophy has always been the ultimate tool for being able to look at information and evaluate. It is the process of sifting and eliminating, thus presenting a logical argument as to why something is true.
You may not have noticed, but Richard hardly ever bothers with any of this. Take, for example, his position on man made climate change. His total ‘reasoning’ is that CO2 is good for plant life , therefore more is better. Has he ever mentioned other factors that could indicate otherwise? What about the absolute fact that it is also a ‘green house’ gas. It traps heat. Just on this alone his repeated nonsense ‘more is better’ can be challenged. This is only one example. Why has he spent no time explaining some of the key changes occurring so rapidly in the polar regions , for instance?
This is not the mind of a critical thinker, let alone a philosopher.

As any war contributed to a better life ,only for a few , young and old ,losing their life for some misguided loyalty to a nation .
Fighting is a last resort ,when your life is under threat , and recently it is not countries ,its our own politicians ,that threaten our very existence , and control of media , we never get a true picture .
Theres bad wars going on , supported genocide, and yet people are suffering really bad in the uk , but you wont get a true picture , but dont you think the same story is played out .
To the elites human life is cheap indeed .

I predict that air travel will become ever less popular and more expensive, this will be engineered by fair means and foul. I read something the other day about there being almost a 2000% increase in Mayday calls since 2019 mainly due to people getting ill on flights, I wonder why?
Then there is fast becoming a shortage of pilots and crew again largely due to their required indulgence in certain substances.
Televisions were too expensive for many people when they first appeared, they were shipped over in their thousands from the USA and were often rented via a coin meter system at the back of the TV, this destroyed the community spirit overnight.

The 2 of them thought it was a b*mb 🤨The aircraft & next set of passengers were delayed because of this item with wires. Turns out it was a Walkman radio 🤣🤣 Our youth are clueless!!!
