I'm still trying to watch all the movies Hughes has been involved in. Seems like there's 15 or so that nobody ever talks about. I wasn't in the right age group to be enamored by "Home Alone" but I remember really liking the comedy of "Mr. Mom" in theaters - and now it's so interesting to be able to do the internet research and connect the dots. If you haven't already, give "Only the Lonely," a watch - it increased my John Candy appreciation.
You are the only person I've watched who ever mentioned "The Hidden"! I love that movie and also purchased it. The eclipse in "Delores Claiburn" is the same as in "Gerald's Game", linking that book too.
I loooooove The Hidden. It's got a cameo from Danny Trejo as a prisoner with a really bad wig on in it. The sequel is trash though.

In the US there were 2 4k releases of the Avatar films. I bought the first wave and those are now obsolete as the first Avatar 4k didn't include the preferred extended cut in 4k and Way of water didn't include the 15 minutes or so of deleted scenes absent from the initial 4k release, so I sold my original 4ks and still have to rebuy both. You may have bought the older way of water if it doesn't include the deleted scenes.
Really enjoyable video as always Pedro. Such a refreshing change to watch videos that are all about the movie and not slipcovers, packaging and all that crap. You clearly know your stuff mate and it shines through in all your vids. Keep it up!
Thanks, while I do want to focus on the physical side cinema, I also want to make sure people are aware of the ACTUAL movie and not just the shiny packaging
Ahh the classic overstuffed shelves. I had to move all my dvds and BD’s to folders just because I could t stand being overwhelmed by plastic. Haven’t bought any physical media since the start of Covid though. The line from Fight Club “The things you own end up owning you” really does become a thing on a long enough timeline.
Oh it's a definite struggle and I'm going to have to downsize the collection. There are a lot of films I have on Dvd that can get in the bin though.

Great video. But I thought The Last of Us on TV was terrible.
I didn't like the characters, the setting didn't work for me and the story in the game was more effective.
The first 3-4 seasons of The Walking Dead were great, but it's another show that dragged on and on, and didn't even end after 11 seasons.

If you like *Pretty in Pink* may I suggest what is oten thought of as the 'reverse sex' version; *Some Kind of Wonderful* - no _Molly Ringwald_ but a great movie (actually I prefer it of the two).
I actually do own and have seen Some Kind Of Wonderful, in fact the reason I own it is for Lea Thompson.
How funny it is when you revisit old DVDs and you're shocked because you can't figure out why you bought it haha
After unloading on "6th Day", "Collateral Damage" and "End of Days" (and not even mentioning "Eraser") how is it that you proudly display "Raw Deal" which is proof positive that even in the 80s Arnie could turn in a turkey? ;) (I mean, come on though, it was dreadful, I'd rather watch a Steven Seagal movie than sit through that again.)
Granted, I also think Raw Deal is a stinker. But I want a copy to revisit to make me remember why his classics are worth their status. Also Hercules in New York is worse than Red Deal. And some of his cameo roles are worse that Raw Deal which I never thought I would say “worse than Raw Deal” about a newer Arnold film even if it’s just a cameo
