Hello Lori, thanks for visiting my channel. I'm sure he's going to enjoy it. Just be prepare to meet a lot of new people. They will stop you guys and ask questions about it almost every time you take it out. Enjoy it. ~Pat
I have a 1964 Ford F250. Great truck. I bought it from my Dad in 1980 when I graduated from Sunnyside High School. It has the 292 engine and I replaced the cross over pipe with headers from LMC. My Dad replaced the 3 speed manual to a 4 speed manual on the floor. Later I replaced the 4"10 differential I believe it was a 3:89.
That's great it stayed with you. I've been enjoying this one for a little over a year. Still a lot of little things to do to it. Thanks for watching my video!
I noticed how low slung this truck is in the video when you polished it in a more recent video. It must be from the Crown Victoria undercarriage. I used mine as a puddle jumper on a 2 mile dirt road. I had 17" wheels with high profile mud and snows. It maneuvered the deep ruts well. Your cab is very nostalgic.
Thanks for taking the time to explain the removal of the front clip. In all of the F100 videos I’ve watched, I don’t recall seeing anyone go over that. I encourage you to pick up a cheap tripod, so you can capture video while working alone.
Thanks W&G, where all the bolts are was the main thing I wanted to show. I had the same issue of not being able to find anyone showing where all of them are at. That write up I included was a big help and the link has instructions of removing the cab and bed also. Take care, Pat
Really looks like a solid old truck. Minor easy to repair rust. Most of the trucks I find of that era, are see threw... You really stripped the Mercury down to the bare bones. That is how I strip cars too. I even save all the bolts and nuts... never know when you need that special bolt!
You are going to love driving this when its done... I have the older Crown Vic under mine.. a 1986 model.. those older cars worked as donor vehicles as well.
Hector, thanks for watching. I think red must have been a popular color for these as I have seen quit a few. I'm leaving it as is for now but when the day comes for paint I will do a two tone red/white. ~Pat
Hi Jason, you can use it and I will. But if I knew at the start what I know now I would go with a little older CV rear end of one from a Ranger or Explorer. My understanding is the 2005 CV rear end (Which is what I have) is one of the widest rear ends which will limit my tire and wheel selection. I did remove the stock mounting points and will be using the stock leaf springs and perches to mount it. Pat
Good info on the bolt locations. I agree that a set of pans with fix you up on the floor. Just a note on audio sync....I had to download the vid and use my software to adjust the beginning monologue by .5 seconds to get it to match the video. My brain goes nuts if they don't match...lol. The ending vocals were in sync. You proly just hit a button during editing. Just an FYI. Looking forward to the project. Did you say that you are gettting rid of the Vic frame?
I think it is really nice that your daughter works on trucks with you. I used to do that with my Dad. Good times.
Yea it's fun, I have dragged her into somethings she would not have experienced otherwise.
I'm so excited to find you. Just bought my husband a 64 model f100 for his birthday today. I can't wait to start the restoration

Yea, the CV front suspension dropped it about 6-7 inches. The axle flip in the read with shorter tires dropped it 7-8 inches.

Thanks Howard, I didn't save every nut and bolt but I did save anything I thought I could sell for a dollar or two. :-)
Man i'm actually quite jealous, this truck has less rot and is wayyyy straighter than my own personal '71.. Haha great truck man!

Thanks for watching, I hope to have it on the road in 6-8 months and can't wait till it moves under it's own power.

This old Ford is a beaut.
Thanks CJ! It's been sitting in a field for almost 25 years and I can't wait to get the old thing back on the road.
I have a truck exactly like yours ironic is even the same color

Can you use the cv rear end in the f100

Hello Wayne thanks for the tips, I'm a rookie at this video stuff. Yes the car and frame are gone...
