Dr. Idriss - Thank you Thank you Thank you for your vlogs! You are a breath of fresh air. I love your no bs and straight info as well as your friendly personality. I love that you give many price point products and that you don't spread the info that we need things that we don't - my wallet is very happy. Again, thank you!!
For a long time, I had been wondering why my skin always gets irritated. I had been constantly blaming my towels, pillowcases and even my diet. Thanks God that I found this woman in TH-cam. It was her who made me realize that the HA is the culprit why my skin gets irritated all the time. Most of the products that I was using have HA in them. 😢

I love that snail mucin serum! For some reason, my face can't tolerate glycolic acid (maybe because of tretinoin) but since I started using it on my chest, I am so happy with the results
The best Azelaic Acid for pigmentation skin problems it’s a AZCLEAR 20% azelaic acid . I ordered many times from Australia directly from the pharmacy . It’s inexpensive and works so good.
Looking at these prices, I’m grateful I live in a country that creates high quality skincare products with a mini fraction of the price of European and American brands. I learn the ingredients from this video and find products with the same ingredients from our local brands. And they all work fine!
The Differin dark spot cream you linked is the 4% niacinamide - I’ve found it in person (Target) !!! I’ve been using it for a week on my cheeks and have already noticed a difference!
I've not tried the CosRx Snail Mucin 96 yet, but I bought their next step up after James Welsh's recommendation and have just last night finished it. It's the CosRx Snail Advanced dual essence, or something like that... Snail mucin in one side of the bottle, niacinamide serum in the other side, the bottle gives you some of each in the one pump. Stunning, so hydrating and I'm getting my niacinamide in at the same time. I'm definitely considering re-purchasing!

Dr Idriss, many of us skin care nerds know about adding vitamin C and sunscreen in the morning, however what other actives can we combine correctly in our skin care and how often? I have several different serums and I’d love to properly incorporate them into my routine so I don’t damage my moisture barrier. Would love a video on this! Thank you so much for all your work!!!!
Hi Dr. Idriss, What is the difference between (or key reason) using a moisturizing serum vs. a moisturizer cream? Does the serum do something the moisturizer can’t?
Hey Dr. Shereene! I noticed that a lot of the serums/ products you recommended in this video and others have sodium hyaluronate as an ingredient (including L’Oréal’s retinol night serum)… I was just curious why you recommended them if the ingredient is bad for out skin? Or is it only bad in large doses? Just trying to understand if I should avoid it altogether, or only targeted HA products. Thanks!!! Love alllll your videos 🙏🏼
You look gorgeous, even with bruising, swelling and windburn. Can you please tell me the name of the procedure you had done? I want to research a bit and maybe try it.

Hi dr. Shereene! I’m definitely a total skincare nerd 😆 Thank you for all the great information you’ve provided. I love that you mentioned ethylated ascorbic acid! This is my current favorite form of Vit C since it’s so stable and supposedly it’s active just like L-Ascorbic acid. Is this true?? Would love to learn more about this new form of Vit C on the market 🙏🧐🤓

Been waiting this morning and here you are ! Thank you for inserting the product info as you were talking about each serum , so helpful and appreciated . It’s funny you mentioned your patient who flew from Chicago as I live an hour north of the city and also hope to see you over the next year . It would be such a dream to come see THE BEST ! I’ve gone to purchase the L’Oréal glycolic but noticed the denat alcohol as second on inky list and was wondering if it’s right for my 66 yr young skin. Thank you Dr Idriss for your invaluable Utube channel ! ❤️👏👏👏Pam
Hello! I know you say not to use AHAs during the daytime because of sun sensitivity, but I use my lactic acid serum twice a week in the morning, and have never had an issue. I always follow up with my SPF 50. It's just that I prefer to use my prescription retinoid every night and not skip it.
Serums are really awesome! They soak into the skin with great ease. My top serums are hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin c serum and retinol. Great to hear your thoughts on each serum.
@@ozzy6138 Here is the link. I'm with Dr Idriss that HA is overhyped & personally found it creates more irritation. It may work for some ppl. But, having dry skin & living in a dry climate it's not for me. th-cam.com/video/RnrMi-PbBWA/w-d-xo.html
Now can you make a video explaining which order to use these in? I have so many products but I get very confused on what goes first and which days to alternate them. 😕
I Dr. Idriss! Thank you so much for keeping us up to date 🤗. I wanted to suggest if you could do a skincare routine for MEN. I share some of my skincare products with my husband, but I find his skin needs are very different from mine. He shaves daily so his lower face gets very dry, and at the same time he has very sensitive skin (I once suggested he tried retinol and his face was immediately red). Also, and sorry for the long comment, could you share some shaving tips? My husband recently switched from foam to shaving cream and it has helped his irritation. Have a wonderful weekend!
in skincare gender doesn't matter. all you need to be aware of is his skin type. from what you said, he has dry skin so focus on moisturising it enough. retinol is very very drying so that's why his skin got irritated. ingredients like glycerin and HA would work well for him hopefully
So excited to see a new video from you. I’m a new subscriber and have been binge watching your videos. You have helped me simplify my skincare which I needed. Thanks & warm wishes from Australia xx
Have you tried AnteAGE serums? I'm curious what you think. I am an esthetician and medical assistant for a medical dermatologist and I love your videos...I learn so much from you. Thank you!
Please Dr Shereen Idrees, can you guide about the uneven or pigmented eyelids and under eyes like naturally bronzed with greyish tint on fair complexion so no eye makeup suits you?
Have you heard about Faded serum by Topicals? It has tranexamic acid, niacinamide and azelaic acid. - Tranexamic Acid: Helps reduce the look of dark patches and post-blemish marks. - Niacinamide: Reduces the look of discoloration and uneven skin tone. - Azelaic Acid: Visibly brightens the skin tone, improves the evenness of skin texture, reduces the look of blemishes, and offers antioxidant support.
I am a bit at loss with all of these serums and types. I wish we could get an explanation of which one to use, which one to combine, which one for day/night. Also which best for age and for type of skin and problems. Maybe you have a video like that already. I do use the aveeno since you advise it and I love it.
Have you ever tried Timeless 20% Vit C with Ferulic Acid and Vit E...curious to know what you might think...I use it and order it online. And bonus it is in a pump vessel.
Hi Shereene! I'm about to have my first PRP treatment for my hair and would love if you could talk about your own experience with it. Is there anything I should think about before/after getting it?

I broke out from the Loreal glycolic acid serum- seem to have issues with higher levels of dimethicone in serums & other products. Not sure why but that’s the ingredient that appears to be the culprit-and I have very dry skin! I’ve ordered the Lariche-Posay glycolic acid to try & hopefully it’ll work better for my skin. Love your videos!!!
Please share the best sunscreen not tinted ones ,lovely to wear with foundations? Combination skin in all kinds of weather . Are cold creams making a comeback like the Hungarian brand Queen cleanser? Have you tried Mara oil sunscreen or Coola silk drops? Would you recommend for combination skin?
Thank you for this breakdown. But when you say: use this at night, use this in the morning, do you mean ALL OF THEM at once?Like 10 serums+ moisturiser+ eye cream+ etc.?
What? Of course not! Use one or two serums at a time according to which skin concerns you want to tackle first. You can have a few on rotation on different days, but don't use a bunch of serums in the same routine.
I noticed seborrheic keratosis on my face for the first time this year. Tretinoin sure doesn't seem to make a difference and I am using it for anti-aging anyways. Are any of these serums helpful in dealing with it? Thank you.
I’ve been eyeing the Dieux serum for a while now but wasn’t sure. The second I saw it pop up in this vid, I added it to my Christmas shopping list haha!
I absolutely love love watching your videos they are so informative and you are actually a credible source of information…question in what step of skincare do you use the nicidimide?
I do use different (spot brightening) It does work. But for me it’s a little to strong so I use it after my last step (moisturizer )and I let it try. So in the morning I have to wash my face.
Hi Dr. Shereene, you touched a bit on glycerine in your previous video where you talked about hyaluronic acid. Please can you do an extensive video on glycerine on how it should be used, if it should be diluted with water before applying it on the face and the body, and the overall benefits of using it as a moisturizer, and how to use it as a buffer for tretinoin cream?

I have been wanting to try prp injections for a while! Do you need several sessions before results are seen or can you see results after the first round of injections?
Excellent tip about the brightening serums because I was definitely using it as like a spot treatment 😬
You may have put this out there before, but where do you get your pumps from? I also hate using droppers 😩 I hate watching videos in general (sorry TH-cam and TikTok) but I watch yours EVERY week!! Thank you for helping us be educated consumers and translating higher level concepts of medical skin care to the masses ❤️
She buys the NIOD droppers, I think they are $4
Yes, NIOD sells them. They work great on all 1oz serum or oil bottles
Girl, are you a mind reader? Went down a rabbit hole on how to fix this winter skin today. Of course you came through at the right time! Decided to take your advice and ordered the aveeno serum to layer with my moisturizer. Thank you ❤️❤️.
Weekend chill doesn't start until I hear "good morning my little nerds" ♡
Cheers from tropical sunny Rio de Janeiro
Hi Dr. I., thank you for making quality skincare information accessible to all who want to learn!
Can you please do a video on how to do anti aging skincare for your body?
Thank you for making this easy for us. Will definitely try.
Serums are really awesome! They soak into the skin with great ease. My top serums are hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin c serum and retinol. Great to hear your thoughts on each serum.
She actually has a whole video about her dislike for HA.
@@michelledailey8505 Oh really. I'll search it out! HA has been our best seller for the past 5 years with lots of repeat buyers.
The cosrx snail mucin is definitely hydrating and great at helping restore your barrier.
great roundup! Definitely been meaning to get my hands on a few of these. Will try in due course!
After trying so many others, I just re-discovered the Glossier Pure serum and it’s so so good!
Now can you make a video explaining which order to use these in? I have so many products but I get very confused on what goes first and which days to alternate them. 😕
Thank you dr idriss for all the great information! I love listening to you sharing your knowledge!
I Dr.
It may not be on your list, but I have been LOVING the Elta MD Skin Recovery Serum. It just feels substantial and really great on my skin 😍
shereene makes me want to buy everything
i know my skin barrier fears for its life every time i watch her videos 😂
😂
Wallet too lol
I love this comment, Rajna!
Dr.Shereene, thank you very much for giving us all the detailed information about every single product 🙏🙏🙏🙏
You are one ❤️
My favorite serum this year has been bioBare vitamin C, B, E, and ferulic serum.
Love this video, especially your Vitamin C section! Have you tried the Timeless Vitamin C? I would love to hear your thoughts about it! 😌
1. I love you
2. What are your thoughts on topical Q10 serums?
Thank you for the video! Thanks for including so many affordable options!!
I am a bit at loss with all of these serums and types. I wish we could get an explanation of which one to use, which one to combine, which one for day/night. Also which best for age and for type of skin and problems. Maybe you have a video like that already. I do use the aveeno since you advise it and I love it.
I was thinking the same thing!!
If you look at the box for each product with the price, she has a symbol for when to use at day/night.
Serums are basically light moisturizers. Don’t over think it there are way too many products out there and only some are proven to work
Have you ever tried Timeless 20% Vit C with Ferulic Acid and Vit E...curious to know what you might think...I use it and order it online. And bonus it is in a pump vessel.
Hi Shereene! I'm about to have my first PRP treatment for my hair and would love if you could talk about your own experience with it. Is there anything I should think about before/after getting it?
It's so fascinating how quickly my outbreaks stopped and I got cured permanently from HSV 1&2. All thanks to @Draloha1 th-cam.com/channels/_YFEEZEr1BxGkNg1d4vqww.html 💙💜
I've never heard of that procedure you mentioned you received! I'd love to learn more about it and any other procedures you may have gotten done in a video.
Could you please make a video about hair loss (I’m loosing my hair postpartum). Any product recommendations to prevent/strengthen hair?
Love your videos. Love your information. Love your down to earth style. Love your encouragement to take care of our skin. I pretty much love you…❤️❤️❤️
I broke out from the Loreal glycolic acid serum- seem to have issues with higher levels of dimethicone in serums & other products.
Can you do favorite moisturizers and cleansers next?
I noticed seborrheic keratosis on my face for the first time this year. Tretinoin sure doesn't seem to make a difference and I am using it for anti-aging anyways. Are any of these serums helpful in dealing with it? Thank you.
In Europe the Aveeno oat serum is sold with a pump! It’s amazing.
I’ve been eyeing the Dieux serum for a while now but wasn’t sure. The second I saw it pop up in this vid, I added it to my Christmas shopping list haha!
- jumps into the office chair, takes out the notepad, and clicks open the pen - “I’m ready!”
Dr. Idriss please do a skin care recomendation for darker skin people. Thank you
Just repurchased my 3rd bottle of the aveeno serum. Thanks Dr!
Hello Dr. Idriss, did you say to use hydroquinone all over the face and not just spots? I am sorry I am confused. Thanks
Yaaaaa So happy I found you ❤
Love skincare and you make me more addicted to!! Why don't you ever mention The Ordinary? Their serums are amazing!!
Can you talk more about the effect of applying growth factors on skin? Dr. Dray said they were a scam
Paula’s Choice 8% Glycolic acids gel is my favourite with lots hydrating and and liquorice and anti oxidants too
This is such good timing! I was in the shops the other day looking for a serum and thought that i should wait and see what shereene says to use 😂
Time to buy the new serums. Thank you, Dr. Idriss
Another great video. Od like to incorporate Azalaic Acid into my routine but I’m not sure I need it. Is it a good idea to add anyway? Thank you 🙏🏽
Do a video with a skin care product represented for each zodiac sign!
Love your videos!!!! You have mentioned it is best to store Vit C in fridge - any other skin care products that should be stored in fridge?
Here in Ireland 🇮🇪 the aveeno oat serum comes in a pump 👏
