It's quite obvious that men and women have different interests which is why when you maximize the equality of opportunity you also maximise the opportunity for inequality of outcome, unless you start to force people into roles within society based purely on their gender. For example say we have 100000 plumbers in the UK, we then decide that 50000 must be men and 50000 must be women, but what if 50000 men or 50000 women dont want to be plumbers? Do you force them into the roles because you have to have equality and then apply that across all roles in society or do you still allow for freedom of choice? That is what socialism and communism thinks, the individuals choice is superseded by the groups needs. That doesnt seem like a good idea to me, because you are essentially removing peoples freedom, and I dont see anything liberal or progressive about that.

There's things men are better at, there's things women are better at, but even more so there's things that men are INTERESTED in and then there's things that women are INTERESTED in. The thing I notice most when people debate jordan peterson is something I now apply in my own thinking. It is a frighteningly common occurrence that people apply their view of what they think you mean to anything you say as opposed to asking what you mean when you said something. It's an interesting concept when you think about it and why people have so many misunderstandings.

I don't know where are all these arguments coming from about Jordan Peterson pandering to the alt-right, acting as if the alt-right is cancer. I am a democrat and I happen to agree with most of what he says. I just don't see the reasoning behind his haters.
I think I see where the accusations of pandering come from: his constant verbal attacks of the left but no attacks of the right. Jordan keeps making the mistake of mixing his political orientations in with his arguments. Or is it really a mistake? I think it is fair to wonder about that.

That woman at the end seems very uninformed considering the position of relative power she holds. It's quite obvious that men and women have different interests which is why when you maximize the equality of opportunity you also maximise the opportunity for inequality of outcome, unless you start to force people into roles within society based purely on their gender. For example say we have 100000 plumbers in the UK, we then decide that 50000 must be men and 50000 must be women, but what if 50000 men or 50000 women dont want to be plumbers? Do you force them into the roles because you have to have equality and then apply that across all roles in society or do you still allow for freedom of choice? That is what socialism and communism thinks, the individuals choice is superseded by the groups needs. That doesnt seem like a good idea to me, because you are essentially removing peoples freedom, and I dont see anything liberal or progressive about that.
Consider how empowering and uniting Jordan Peterson’s message is...that men and women worked together in a complementary manner throughout history in order to survive and thrive in a world full of challenges! I can only imagine the uplifting, enlightening, enriching gains for all of society if the majority of people embraced that understanding!

On the topic of women in combat there are 3 solid things right off the bat. physical differences and the extreme requirements of combat, need for 2 sets of toiletries, men have a tough time watching women die. With that being said equality of opportunity is generally good, but war is a special circumstance and not a proving ground for social experiments. (I did not invent this)
As a soldier myself and having had female companions the argument I always use is this. Ofcourse they are some women they are better soldiers than some men. BUT the ratio usually goes like this, in my experience: about 8 per every 10 men I was with where good soldiers, meanwhile only 1 out of every 10 women I see are good soldiers. Im going to leave it there.
@@ilboche thank you for your service. Biologists and psychologists agree by doing experiments and studies that women and men are different both biologically and mentally. There's things men are better at, there's things women are better at, but even more so there's things that men are INTERESTED in and then there's things that women are INTERESTED in. STEM is a good example. Women would probably be better at stem but they're just not interested in it as much by a factor of over 20%.
I think the hardest thing for Peterson is sitting there actually taking them seriously.
To suggest that human males and females are the same when all other species have been shown to not be is as absurd as suggesting that the earth is flat when every other planet has been shown to be round.

John Doe I made my comment without the proper knowledge on both sides(Like your normal TH-cam comment) I have been listening to a lot more of Peterson and have even ordered his book. Previously I supported mgtow, only just finding out about it, because I saw it was hopeless to pursue a relationship with women when most are crazy and putting the risk of my life being ruined in someone else’s hands for what I saw was little benefit wasn’t worth it. Again after listening to him more I am changing my view on relationships and kids. I don’t support identity politics and hating on women like a few of mgtow do. I do still think the court system is entirely in favour of women.
