May I know whether a surgery is required for this impression of disc bulge ?Diffuse disc bulge with posterior annular tear and postero-central disc protrusion at L3-L4 level indenting the anterior thecal sac. There is no evidence of canal stenosis / neural foraminal narrowing.Diffuse disc bulge with postero-central and left foraminal disc protrusion at L4-LS level effacing the anterior thecal sac causing severe canal stenosis ( AP canal diameter at this level measures 2.7 mm), There is severe lateral recess narrowing with compression of traversing nerve roots on both sides. There is mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing at this level.
