What you have to do is line up the top and bottom at the same time, once lined up. Firm push at the side of the radio face one side at a time don't press on the screen just the sides of the screen it will set in.
I had more trouble with the one on the driver's side, but they were all ridiculously tight. Subaru factory needs a lower torque setting in their install or something 😂
When mine didn’t work I had to connect the right connector so verify you have correct connection. It has been a while since I had that head unit but the info should be in the install video I did.
Yeah I broke my ac fam assembly installing this piece of shit. Fuck idoing. I’m almost happy Subaru nerfed them in the new cars where the ac and radio merged.
I’m also currently dealing this issue- I’m going to take Maurice’s advice and try it his way tomorrow. I’m on the verge of buying a different head unit

For the figment you have to make sure the top is completely in before hammering in the sides and then it sticks. I suggest the styrofoam that came in the box with a book for push the side in with the top securely in.

Man you gotta get one of the dialed dock vent mounts for your accessport I had mine on a mount similar to yours until I bought mine, and I love it the install took about 20 ish minutes and now the accessport sits on the vent on the top left of the dash. Much better location IMO and it hides the wire for the AP
I had that one big dawg but I installed an oil pressure gauge in that spot recently so that’s why I had to move it to current location. I did like that mount and location though.
I had the same problem, contacted WRX daily and turns out I had it plugged into the wrong place. It goes in the top right corner of you're looking at the head unit from behind.

@@AlexV725 it has been a while since I have had this radio installed and the only black cable I remember was the antenna but I could be wrong, I’ll look through old footage to see for sure.
@@AlexV725 yep it looks to be the ground, but I asked about the ground and the ground for the Idoing is part of the larger 24pin connector that you plug in. I did not have to plug in a separate ground, to my understanding it is done through the connector. Of you are still unsure you can reach out to Idoing.

With an extension and it's a pain no mater what you use homie. I just got it started with socket and used my hands to get it out the rest of the way so not to drop it.
@@钟源-w4b let me make sure I’m what your saying, so you got out the stock unit and going in with the Idoing right? If so going back in with the Idoing you have to swap the ac controls and vents to Idoing then push it in starting at the top and make sure the two top corners of radio are pressed in then pop the bottom section in. There is a playlist on the channel for the details on how I put it in cause it was tricky. It’s a part two to this one.
Just put mine in. The clips were a little too thick so i took a wire cutter and slightly trimmed the clip and it pushed right in with a bit of pressure
@@MoJoNinjaGarage it's better than stock. Not louder than stock + alpine ktpu 445 hu amp, but also doesn't have that annoying ground loop buzz either, so liking it so far. Lovi the 16 band eq for sure. Reverse cam feels a bit wonky but works fine Edit. It's actually just as loud if not a tad louder. It was my mistake and I didn't realize there was an amp setting which was off my default on my unit.

As long as you get the antenna cord plugged in the back you should be good to go. After. That I just searched for what I wanted to program in and hold down the button on the screen to where I wanted the station programmed to.
@@mvp3100 once your on the radio and you find the fm or am station you want you go over to the area on the radio where the numbers are and then hold down the number you want the station to be set to and then the radio will make a beep and it is set. After that you only have to pick the number of the station you want to listen too. If that is what your asking?

Dang man hate that happened, but I have swapped to another Tesla style radio that has a/c integrated into unit.
skill issue 😂 dont blame idoing for a personal install. They literally take half the work out, you def couldn't do a regular head unit

I found out the newer head units come with a built in mic, it is on the top left of the radio😅

Nope, using the Idoing. Once I updated the radio it has been working fine.
