A question. How does the tuning of AM radios work in this Sony model? I have an identical one but the operation of the AM radio is very weak, while the FM radio is very regular.
@@leo19prodcc I can’t say I’ve ever noticed that issue because I haven’t tried AM. My initial thoughts are that am is generally harder to get a clear signal and always sounds kinda basic, but it should still be bearable. I’ll have to see if I have this issue later when I go back to the car. If anything else, perhaps your antenna isn’t working properly or is damaged/not plugged in properly? Is everything else on the car standard?
@@Matt_JZ At least I have checked the installation of the antenna and everything can be seen that it is in order. However, in my Sony xav-1500 radio in the wiring branch, it does not have the blue cable (power antenna), but it has the blue cable with white line (rem out max 0.4 amp) of which it is used only to turn on amplifiers. So I proceed to conclude that this radio does not count to give power to the antenna (booster) but brings it integrated within the radio, but I do not know for sure. And this is where the question is born to me about the AM radio, which is the one that works very badly, because it doesn't even pick up a local radio. Another background is that once I tried to connect the blue/white Rem Out cable to the car's power antenna and no difference was perceived in both AM and FM.
