I was suffering cause it wouldn’t sit flush after installation and I’ve watched many many videos and this was the only one that actually explained how to do it and it actually solved the problem. I really didn’t really put my body weight to it but I did push at the exact points you mentioned which was on the top corners of the screen and little by little it did go in. Finally my 3 day headache is gone. Thanks again!

Another great video! I got mine from WRX Daily a couple of years ago. There’s so much you can do with them. I downloaded a Super Nintendo emulator and some SNES game ROMs so I can play Mario Kart when I’m chilling at car shows. The head unit recognizes PlayStation controllers so you just plug it into the USB port. I can also watch Paramount Plus when I use my phone’s hot spot for internet. Some of the other streaming services don’t work well or at all. The CarPlay is finicky with mine till this day. Sometimes it connects immediately, sometimes it takes awhile. Sometimes it’s just frozen on the connection screen, and I have to reboot the head unit. But overall, it’s still solid. I have the kicker speakers as well, so the sound is great. Once you really get into the settings, you can really make some custom changes to it.
Damn that is something I will definitely be trying to do, and I’m at the point where I don’t want to go back to stock I will make it work😅. I have been communicating with Idoing so they have been helping me too so I am working on some other things as well and will share what I come up with! Appreciate you big dawg!

I just installed one in my Forester. Like you I was having some regrets also. I have a new one which I don't see anyone have videos of so I had to figure out some stuff myself. Mine doesn't have the left side buttons. They're digitally on the screen instead which kinda sucks. I have the higher resolution screen so it makes it a little choppy and not as smooth as I would like. Maybe I should have opted for the 720p screen instead of the 1200p. I had the same issue putting the unit back in also. Felt like I was gonna break something. Bluetooth is still kinda iffy like if you have the car on and you move away from your car and bluetooth disconnects. It won't connect anymore after that until you turn off the car and restart it. My HD radio from stock unit sounded a lot better than the radio on this unit but music from Spotify or other sources does sound a little better. I dunno, I'm still not 100% on this unit. I just installed it so maybe more days of messing around with it will make it better. I kinda feel like maybe I should have just got a regular head unit like a Kenwood or Alpine.
Dang man sorry to hear that. I ended up swapping mine out for a Tesla style head unit and have been enjoying how it has been performing. The main issue I have had with the Idoing is it connecting to my phone, but I was using a pretty old iphone 5 that had limited update ability. Hopefully it gets better for you, maybe contact idoing you may need an update on the head unit.
did you need to install the GPS antannea? with the sticky adhesive to mount it? i was told that if you want the bluetooth to work properly you need to make sure you install that.
I did use mine and attached it to the dash on the passenger side next to the tweeter. Now I didn’t keep the radio installed too long to test to see if you can just use the maps on your phone but from what I was told you can just use your phone’s map. The gps antenna is just so the head unit wouldn’t have to use your phone and it could have it’s on way to get gps signal. Hope this info helps.
Not sure if this well help.for me the android auto or carplay connection works best when plugged in to the usb port also it matter which usb port you plug into. Specifically with my unit warm temps affects connection.
@@francomonno3256 I started with the pop setting and then tweaked it little by little each day and played different songs to make it as well rounded as I could. I did a little with the bass setting as well where you can adjust the sub and played around with that as well.
Yes it did at first but there is a setting where you can set the volume when you go into reverse in the setting menu and it will either turn down when you go into reverse or you can have it stay on. Don’t know why that is a thing but there is a setting for it. I have since changed my head unit so I can’t look at it to see but there is a setting for it.
bezzlel clip? Do you mean around the AC vents? Or do you mean the top part of the radio? I started with getting the top vent part of the radio in and then the middle and then the bottom but I did hold the top to make sure it would not pop out. But once you get the two top corners of the middle screen section the rest just pops right in. Hope this answers your question.

It could be your wire connection, and I have heard of there may be an issue with the reverse switch on transmission. Best thing I would say is check your connector at back of the radio and if that is good reach out to Idoing. I have been on communication with them and working through some of the solutions they sent me.

My issue with the idoing is the equalizer. The sound is off if not done right
I can agree with you on that! I also had a hard time with it and it took me a while to get it where I wanted it but happy with it now.
