i’m soooo jealous man! i live in canada and imported a toyota aristo from japan when i was 17 but i could only afford the 2jz-ge and now i just want to start a welding job to save up for a 2jz-gte aristo
The car is on the lowest boost setting in this video it really never gets driven hard at all. Running rich likely to cause a problem? If he's never really ragging it
@@chris_purves nah it’s not a problem but rich will make you lose HP not much and your just wasting fuel... not a big deal at all... I’ve got a 700whp gs300 if he wants tips I’m happy to share my fails and success:-)
@@ryanlowe3588 We were just going off the very rough details from the dealer in Tokyo from where it was bought supposed to be fully built but without actually ripping it apart we will never know. It is supposed to be 600bhp but that's anyone's geuss it certainly feels like it is almost not useable in the other boost settings etc it just doesn't grip and feels like in cuts fuel etc when it redlines so has never used it in them
@@chris_purves checking the injector and fuel system is a good way to find out what power it is, factory CC is like below 700cc and personally I wouldnt trust any dealer in Japan, 100’s of videos of guys getting scammed... taking off the oil pan you see if the rods have been done, really need to change them until 800hp, seen them handle more but those engine didn’t hold up long... on pump gas mines 550-600 and I’ve got nitto invo’s 275 wide and there is a little bit of wheel spin but the car is boring, on e85 700whp cars has a bit but not heaps and in second it’s all gripped up... so cheap tyre is why it feels unusable... does it still have the 180k limiter ?
Nice to see a follow up vid, I'm after one of these myself be good to know how the import transaction went and if your mate did It himself or used someone? I've heard there is a fee from HMRC be good to understand if this continues now. I did watch your previous video and it's a nice Aristo that's for sure. P.s fast and furious will polish up your lacking of the 2jz haha ( 10 second car).
He actually used a company "club japan imports" which ive used for three previous cars who i recommend for easyness. but im actually picking a Toyota Verossa up next Wednesday which the lad imported himself a fairly straight forward process! if interested i could do a video on explaining it all?
Surprisingly yes had perfect alignment and very grippy tyres! It really struggles to get traction when pulling away hard as you see in the video he has to let it build a little speed up before putting the foot down
*He said "It's says Lexus, but I promise you its not though". 😂😂😂 It's definitely a Lexus, just has a GTE in it, instead if a GE, and has the Toyota Aristo badges*
@MRMAN-wb1tv if I remember correctly the aristo came out before the GS so technically the GS is a re badged Aristo, kinda like how the IS300 is a re badged altezza
not a real aristo...Does have a lot of the parts off the aristo but it is indeed just swapped GS300...Proof is in the shift cluster mismatch from the shift selector running + offered between the 2 models.
In some countries you got a Non turbo version Lexus gs300 ot gs430 but in Japan you got the Toyota Aristo which is pretty much the same car apart from it has twin turbos
That car is gorgeous

It’s running rich.... black smoke... hoping he has some head studs and not to much boost

What's the deal with the NHS sticker?
That's a good qestion I never actually noticed it! Pretty sure he just thought it looked cool but will ask him
Still in auto ? What gearbox dis you have ?
Yes just the standard gearbox but he has the boost turned down most of the time as i dont think the box would hold the power to long
What inch Rims are those, 18, 19 ?
19 inch
More videos off this car
