You must be one of the few Panasonic S wildlife shooters, very interesting!
Nice one, i’m looking forward to seeing your wildlife recordings and stills with this camera. I too am invested in this system, have been for several years and now have an s5ii, got a great deal, but it’s always nice to learn from others and what their experience with the same kit is. Thanks and keep it coming, your doing good. 👍
Thanks for your kind words :)
Nice vid mate, I really like your content. Do you have you have the latest update for the lens installed as well? The 150-600 has had two updates now -the last one really improved the tracking even before this lumix update. I use the same set up and do wildlife as part of my work - those updates together have transformed this set up. Looking forward to your next one, cheers 👍
Hey, I'll double-check, but I think it's all up to date. I'll have to do a second test with the IBIS as I have a shoulder injury at the moment and shooting with the 150-600 may be have been overly ambitious 😅 Thanks for watching, I'll have some follow up vids soon 🙂
I'm considering buying Lumix S5 II. Do you see a difference with new eye animal AF tracking, especially for small birds? Can you recommend now to buy 150-600 sigma sports with S5 II considering this new update?
I think the newer electronic stabilization settings are gyro based and not image based, so you wouldn't find a huge improvement at the telephoto focal lengths and post stabilization in your NLE will give you better results. It does wonders under 50mm though.
I'll have to look into it a bit deeper, I plan on doing a better IBIS test next time as shooting with the 150-600 was a bit much as I'm sporting a shoulder injury. Will get a more in depth video up soon. Cheers for watching/ commenting 🙂
Luke, I’m going to borrow a S5II, EF adapter and 70-300. I’m a Canon R6 User, Have you tried to adapt your Canon lenses? Also do you get much blackout in mechanical burst mode? Great vid BTW.
Love it! Thank you! You made me download this, if its not any good im sending hit men!
No pressure 😅😅lol
Fantastic video
Do you shoot wedding's? And have you tried the new AF out on that?
Thanks!!!
Thank you for the great in-site :) how do you record your Lumix Live view screen?
Thank you! I use an Atomos Ninja V 🙂
Ooh, first!
Which af settings do you use for birds?
Hey, thanks for your question. I use 1-Area+ with Animal: Eye/Body. :)

Gotta get them views 😅. Tbf the magnitude of the update is a wow moment... for me at least. Thanks for watching 🙂
